@Olaplex, I have thick, curly color-treated hair, so I most often use a gel with dimethicone in my hair. Would I use the Olaplex on top of the gel on my unwashed hair, or do I wash my gel out prior to applying?

Thanks for reaching out! For best results, you'll want to do a quick shampoo prior to using your No. 3 Treatment. OLAPLEX works internally, so we recommend ensuring there is no barrier on the hair that can prevent Olaplex from penetrating to it's best ability. From there, towel dry and saturate with a generous amount of No. 3. Let process a minimum of 10 minutes, then shampoo and condition!

I love using my olaplex #3 on my curly hair. I always use a pea size amount, on clean damp hair, leave in,then apply my gel, curl cream, on top of the #3.

Hello! I discovered your product by searching the Sephora website. I really like what I'm reading, since I have brown hair that was lightened awhile ago and I'm starting to experience some serious breakage and dryness. I was wondering if it's okay to use this product without getting the salon treatment done, too? Also, I've seen some users say that this product made their hair dry out even more and break off closer to the scalp. Can you shed (no pun intended) some light on what you think they may have done wrong as far as using this product so I can avoid a similar situation? Thank you!

My hairdresser uses olaplex on my hair, I just ordered my First bottle so excited to use it. Till I opened my box and it spilled everywhere:(
