Black Friday Preview 2018 Thoughts

What do you guys think of the list for Black Friday previewed on the Sephora App? I think I’m most excited about the great value FAB Ultra Repair Cream and the mini Lancer The Method: Polish mini. I think a few of these are truly spectacular “Black Friday” type deals, but one thing that does throw me off is how many PLAY boxes are included in here, which are also offered outside of Black Friday. They are pretty good deals, but I already bought one of the skincare by age sets, so I feel like that can’t really be included in the preview list for Black Friday. I also noticed that a lot of products in here have been part of Beauty Offer Promotions, so I have a lot of them already or have already tried out the product that way in the past pretty much for free. Does anyone agree, disagree? What are you most excited to buy from the list?

I see 3 Christmas gifts and a few gifts for me. I will probably grab the 50s Skincare, too, since it has some good products and $15 is a good price.

I am excited for the mini pat mcgrath. It's the perfect holiday color. I think I will try to snag one for me and one for my mom. I'm not really the kind of person who stays up extra late or wakes up really early to get stuff though. If it's still in stock when I get up I'll buy it and if not I'll have to get over it haha

That big tub of FAB ultra repair will definitely be mine 😂 and that mini Smashbox highlighter palette is calling to me! I had swatched the full size version but I couldn’t decide if I should get it because who ever finishes a full size highlighter palette?! But the mini....... 🤗 and that benefit set would be perfect for a secret Santa gift with a low dollar limit! I may pick up the OleHenriksen set too. I love the small size of the sheer transformation because I get suuuuuper dry and like to keep minis of it in my purse and gym bag. I’m so impressed with the choice this year for sets. Some are repeats for sure, but a few years ago when I first started getting into makeup, it was the Black Friday sets that made higher end makeup more accessible to me, so im happy to see that they haven’t changed!

Thanks for posting this @gillian321! There is a lot of pretty stuff! I think I'm most interested in the Alterna Must Haves Kit. I think the B&B Primer is a good value, but I wish the hair oil was a BF deal, too - I have so many hair oils that I can't justify buying another, even though that one has been calling my name.

I think many of the sets would make great gifts. I usually pick up at least a couple.

I am a little tired of the Tocca rollerballs, though. I feel like we see those every year, and I've gifted so many Tocca. I also think the CLEAN has been a BF line-up before. Sometimes I'm hesitant to pick up sets b/c I can't remember who I gifted what, and I don't want to repeat the same (or similar) gift.

You posted that this is a preview, so I hope there are more goodies to choose from at low prices! 🙂

That’s a good point, maybe not the most unique products for Sephora but definitely a good variety and all low pricing

@gillian321 plus they’re things that you can stock up on. Even though it’s not the most exciting purchase, the Clinique clarifying lotion and purity made simple cleanser are definitely things that I’ll be excited about later when I run out and will have already bought half price back ups 😂
