Monthly Favorites: January 2024 Edition!

New year, new beauty faves! 💁‍♀️✨ In 2024, I’m doubling down on beauty products that work for me – seeing dry patches on my skin? There’s a moisturizer for that. Need to prevent acne after a workout? I tried a facial spray to fight it off! I’m big on new year’s resolutions, and I’m using this time of year to find motivation to dedicate more time and energy to the beauty products and routines that bring me joy. 💜

@itsfi Winter warrior indeed - can't believe I hadn't tried it until recently! 🙂 I do the Dr. Jart in the morning with my sunscreen and have been leaving the Alpyn moisturizer for nighttime - just to switch things up!

@missjeanie We might be skin type twins! 🥰 The bakuchiol in the Alpyn moisturizer has been keeping my skin clear, from what I've noticed. My skin feels very smooth in the morning after sleeping in the Alpyn during the night!

I've totally been neglecting self care since being ill. Aquaphor healing Ointment got my dry lips back into shape.

Not beauty related, but for wellness I can recommend Sunbeam king size heating pad (Amazon), and wedge pillows (10 inch for bed and 12 inches for couch) for back positioning (also Amazon). I hope I can put my shower bench together. It's hard to stand when I wash my hair. And I have to sit on a computer chair to blow dry my hair instead of on the floor. I was so ill I went 3 weeks without washing my hair.

@happyskincare I want to look sunkissed throughout the year too! 😄 Agree that the Summer Fridays balm is a must. I just bought a second Sweet Mint so I can keep one in my purse and one at my office desk! Have you tried the other "flavors"?

I was able to get my hands on the summer Friday trio for only $50 and my local Sephora it sold out so fast online! So the three that are included in the set are: Coffee (only available in the set but smells divine😍),cherry,and vanilla❤️ for me I like to do a look sun kissed look all year so I don’t look so pale😅😂✨❤️

A couple of winter scents and some makeup beauties round out my favorites for this month @GeorginaBT .

January 2024 Favorites

January Favorites Debriefed:

Maison Francis Kurdijian Oud Satin Mood is not your traditional oud. It feels softer, more delicate, maybe owing to the mix of fresh but subtle rose petal notes, a mildly powdery floral scent, and a warm, sweet (but not sugary) hint of vanilla. This is a winter scent for me, one I’ve been reaching for often this month, in both the parfum and this body oil version.

A classic and tried-and-true fave for me, hits all the high points for prepping my dry skin for makeup this time of year - easy to apply, comforting and balmy without being greasy, heavy, goopy or tacky. I love how it soothes, hydrates, moisturizes & smoothes my skin.

I've had burning at home for most of the month. Fresh, cozy, pine tree notes give the throw its initial wintry feel; softer than I expected as I don't pick up an alpine snow scent to it, either when lit or cold. It's rounded out by an unexpected mens' cologne scent that took me by surprise at first, but has become one of the notes I've looked forward to taking in, with its comforting, almost familiar feel to it.

The new has been a lovely surprise this month.👍🏼 It’s quick and easy to use, nicely pigmented, and stays on, without creasing, even on these oily lids of mine. Love that it comes with a sharpener inside the cap.

Soft, smooth, lightly hydrated, beautifully reddish-brown tinted lips are mine with the #. I've been carrying it with me in my purse, coat pocket, etc. all month. 💄

Ooh your favorites this month have some serious New Year energy. @GeorginaBT 🥳 I agree full heartedly, I think Tower 28's spray is so handy for after a sweaty workout. The fits perfectly in a gym bag too. 😉

My most reached for items this month are leaning towards hydration. My skin is pretty dry naturally so I take extra care in the cold to keep my skin and hair hydrated.

About the products 👇💕

Excellent for prepping before makeup. There is no dry skin peaking through my foundation when I use this.

I have been using this on the ends of my long hair, the hydration lasts a few days, and on my dry ends that's saying something. 😀

Both these products are dry skin friendly. I like to use the spray just before I apply my foundations, and the face wash is my gentle morning cleanse. 💚

I love this scent and reach for it pretty often. It's one I carry in a travel size in my purse too. It's a unique gourmand and so sweet. 🍨

It's no secret I've been loving this formula of lippie. They wear comfortably and don't dry out my lips at all. I think that's pretty important. They make beautiful colors, I had to mention these little lovelies this month. 🩷
