@Anonymous I have never tried carmex but my brother has and was allergic to it. His lips swelled up so much that I stay far away from it.

This month I will have something to show because I will be buying some things during the sale, although only a few and nothing very exciting, because I am on a very low buy this year and I already spent enough in non needed but NEEDED Pat McGrath Motherships 😅😅😅 Lets see if I can show them before the month ends or I am still waiting for them to process the order!

@Anonymous To answer that question, I had to visit Carmex’s site to see the current ingredient lists of their products. I stopped using Carmex years ago because it never kept my lips moisturized, and some versions irritated my lips.

Most Carmex products used to contain camphor. I see they’ve removed that and menthol from everything except the original version, which contains both those ingredients. The flavored “Daily Care” tubes and sticks might be fine since they contain petrolatum, lanolin, and 2 UV blockers. Carmex includes the vague “flavor” ingredient on these INCI lists, so I have no idea what that actually is for each Daily Care variety. I mean, I guess the cherry variety contains cherry “flavor,” but that could be made of anything. The cupcake batter variety is tempting. 😄 I assume the wintergreen variety contains mint oil for flavor; that’s one I’d never use, because anything mint flavored/scented will dry out my lips. (I also avoid mint oil/extract skincare products for other parts of my face.)

It’s been at least 10 years since I last used a flavored Carmex balm, and the INCI lists have probably been updated since then. I don’t even recall if the ones I used contained sunscreen. None of them kept my lips as moisturized as Aquaphor: I remember having to reapply them several times throughout the day. Maybe the new versions contain more petrolatum, or maybe the old versions contained problematic-for-me ingredients (like camphor), I dunno. Sorry I’m not being much help here… eh, the only way to know if you’ll like it is to try it. 🙂

Carmex is my favorite drug store lip balm @Anonymous. I personally prefer the original version but for $0.99 USD I feel that it is a bargain. I have a question unrelated to beauty. How many languages do you speak? My cousins from Milano speak 3 languages fluently, English, Italian, and German. There is always a gap in our conversation because I was told that when they speak to us first they translate the question to Italian then they translate to German before answering in English. I always found it fascinating!
