OMG October 2021 Non-Beauty Hauls

We all love posting in the hauls thread but what about those non-beauty items you bought? Purses, clothes, shoes, jewelry, accessories, home stuff and whatever else you picked up! If you bought it, flaunt it! I’ll start the ball rolling. Of you have pre-October items to share, do it.

Getting us started off!

I bought these pink pearls as a gift to myself for working so hard to improve my health. It was the 6 month mark. Pearls have a certain weight to them that you feel when you’re wearing them so it’s a constant reminder of taking my health into my hands.

A reminder of my dog Joy who passed in March and just generally how I feel about dogs

First pair of boots I have been able to zip up over my calf in some time. Mine have gotten a bit smaller due to weight loss.

I've been trying to buy fewer things overall, especially with clothes. I actually just looked through my bank account and realized I did really well in October. But, I canceled all my beauty box subscriptions a while back, and the only subscription I have left is Book of the Month, and I enjoyed the book I chose this month. It's a fun, cheesy rom com that's sort of like Practical Magic set in Halloweentown--just the lighthearted kind of thing I like to read when life is stressful!

Also, I have a weakness for the $3.99 bouquets at Trader Joe's, which I buy almost every week. However, they only had a couple of sad looking $3.99 bouquets last Friday, so I went with the $4.99 bunch of sunflowers.

Shoes are my hardest item to purchase @sprocketta. When fitted properly I wear size 6.5 EE which is very difficult to find stylish footwear. I inherited my mom’s feet. They are wide towards my toes but narrow by my heels. I have a large bunion on my right foot. Also my calves are not large. I found a couple of pair from Rockport but I am going to have to return them because they hurt my feet.

I do like collecting sweaters. I recently added a couple of pretty cashmere sweaters to my wardrobe.

@Loretta55 That sounds really tough. I have a friend who wears a size 12 and has similar trouble finding shoes. I can never find the right pair of flats. I live in my fitflop sandals and bought a pair of flats from them so I’ll see how it goes, have you thought about getting something custom-made? Those probably wouldn’t be stylish though.

I also live in my Fit Flop sandals @sprocketta. I have thought about trying custom made shoes but I am not sure where to purchase them. I also would be interested if there would be a guarantee on any pair custom made.

@Loretta55 If you see a podiatrist I would ask them. Not sure how else to find them beyond searching online. Fitflop sandals allow me to go without my orthotics which I appreciate.

I tried orthotics @sprocketta but I did not feel like they helped me in any way unfortunately. Too bad I can not wear my Uggs with my uniform to work because sometimes I feel like they are the only closed toe shoes that are comfortable even if they don’t provide any support.

My favorite purchase this month was this Nespresso machine.

I got it on sale at Bed Bath and Beyond. I am absolutely in love with it. I am not a morning person at all, so this definitely motivates me to get out of bed!
