Beautylish Lucky Bag 2020

It’s that time again for Beautylish’s Lucky Bags. Which ones are you girls/guys hoping to snag this year regular $75, XL $150 or are you going to pass on it? Please post pictures of the ones you get. They usually go on sale the day after Christmas and ship in January so sign up to be notified of when they drop on the site and be quick because they will sell out fast.

I got the normal one once in 2017 - the XLs were released an hour earlier so they were all sold or when I got on. I think it was fun to participate in once (really exciting to look at all the unboxings and speculate what mine would hold), however I was disappointed with my bag and don’t think I will participate again now that I’m more experienced in makeup and have clear likes/dislikes + skin sensitivities. I think I ended up with 75$ value of stuff I could use so it wasn’t terrible.

Part of my decision not to buy again is that they put a lot of items which are on sale at many retailers into the bag - for example that year the CT look in a palettes were on sale for 35$ or something, the by terry blush palettes were on sale for 19$ at space NK, but valued at full inthe bag.

However it was a great experience and I think most people would have fun doing once, and especially newbies to makeup have the most to gain with this bag. I am still getting FOMO by despite my logical decision to sit out haha and would buy again if they fix the clearance items they pop in. I’ll follow the unboxings and ooh and ahh over the bags I like!

@SportyGirly125 I was saving my Beautylish gift card for a Lucky Bag but wound up using it during their Black Friday sale. Well played, Beautylish. 😄

I was happy with my regular deep/dark bag last year, though I wound up trading a few things from it. But this year, I fear I’ll end up with things I reeeeally do not want, like items from a specific brand I still refuse to support. Or I could end up getting one of this year’s kabillion Norvina palettes... not that ABH is generally terrible (they’re not), they’re just not in the top half of my eyeshadow preferences list. Eh, at least an ABH palette I could gift to friends and relatives. But yeah, this year I’ll happily watch what the rest of you get in your bags. I hope everyone gets at least 2 things they like!

@itscarin Ha, I’ll be shocked if ABH doesn’t feature heavily in this year’s bags. 🤣

I figure whatever’s on sale at other retailers by mid-December will end up in several lucky bags. Though I’m still jealous of anyone who got a full Chikuhodo brush set last year. I wonder if a few people will get Sonia G sets this time around.

I had a great experience last year for my first Lucky Bag. I was one of the fortunate ones who received a Wayne Goss brush and a Natasha Denona Camel palette.

It was also a wonderful experience because @WinglessOne and I were trading buddies. 🙂
