In my experience, nothing truly covers up a tattoo (not even KVDs stuff). You'd have to layer so much product to make it disappear that it's practically impossible. The other problem is that makeup transfers. If you had, for example, a very full coverage foundation all over your arm, it would just transfer onto your dress (or anything else that your arm touched, like other people).

There are some products meant for tattoo coverage (like Tattoo Camo, which is like a very heavy duty, waterproof concealer) that I'd look into before trying any product at Sephora. 🙂

I have a wedding that I will be a bridesmaid for in November. And I have a huge terrible looking tattoo on my arm that I want to cover. I am also terrible at matching foundation to my upper arm where the tattoo is. Would they be able to do that at the store instead of a full face makeover?

Kat Von D makes products for covering up ink .... it's def a process with powder & concealer.

On a large tattoo though, your best option might be to ask the bride for an appropriate shawl.

Hi @Anonymous!

Our Sephora stores offer free 15 minute mini makeovers! I recommend visiting your local Sephora store so that one of our Cast Members can help to cover up your tattoo.

Always,

@Anonymous- I would not rely on sephora makeup artists to do a good job. Depending on how serious you are about covering the tattoo I would suggest hiring a professional makeup artist. The makeup artist who is doing the bride is usually also available (for a fee) to the bridal party. You should try exploring that option.

The last thing you want is the makeup on your arm to be rubbing off when you go to hug people or accidentally rubbing off on the bride's dress.
