Sephoria 2024 - ATL

So it looks like on Friday morning the ATL area could be impacted by tropical weather from a system that is currently developing. Is there a possibility Sephoria could be cancelled? Many people like myself are flying there and flights could be cancelled due to weather. In the event that I’m not able to rebook flight or weather is bad, will refunds be allowed? I am hoping to attend but the current track of the storm is looking to slam ATL with 40mph winds and heavy rain on Friday morning. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated!

@monireign85 The same thing happened last year when it was in NY. Fortunately my flights weren’t impacted and I had tickets for Saturday but I am not sure how they went about helping those with Friday tickets as the venue had flooded that day. Maybe someone can chime in and let us know if they gave refunds for the event. I highly doubt they will do that this year, however. I take it as a “risk” we are willing to take by agreeing to purchase the tickets.

Several of us are flying in Friday so we are just hopeful that the weather won’t impact our travels or the event itself 🤞🏻

@gonerogue @monireign85 Last year the venue itself flooded. There were a ton of us in line, and we were waiting past the time we were meant to be let in. Eventually they made an announcement that the morning session was cancelled. I believe it was a few hours later that an email went out letting people know that they'd get a refund and the swag bags would be mailed out to their homes if they hadn't picked on up before leaving. It was probably around noon that we found out the afternoon session was also cancelled.

Keep in mind, the event was also cancelled by Sephora, so they may not be able to do refunds if the event still goes on.

Yeah at this point im really hoping that everything still goes as planned. This is my first Sephoria and excited doesn’t even begin to cover it! I’m flying in from the MS Gulf Coast so it’s literally a 45 min flight on Delta on this Thursday night. I’m hoping that Friday the weather is good enough for things to go on.

I know the rules & regs for the ticket purchase says no transfers and no refunds/cancellations. However, I would really hope that if there was a weather emergency that impacts a lot of flights and attendees that they may be willing to provide some refunds of the purchase price. However, even if so, I doubt they would ship bags out like they did last year, so it would be super disappointing. Hoping for smooth travels for everyone! @monireign85 @gonerogue

I'm also concerned about my flight getting in. I chatted with customer service yesterday, they said if they cancel the session we will get a refund minus any administrative fees, but they will not ship the bags. If the event goes on and we just can't get there, we don't get a refund and we're just out of luck.

I'm thinking the Friday sessions might be canceled, school districts in the Atlanta area are already canceling classes for Thursday and Friday.

They need to stop holding this event in the eastern US during hurricane season!

Local here- I’m concerned about Friday as well! Many of the Atl area schools have cancelled and colleges (like Georgia Tech) have gone to virtual learning. My daughter is going to be devastated if the event’s Friday session is cancelled but I wouldn’t be surprised if this storm is as bad as predicted. Her outfit has been laying on her bed since last weekend down to her earrings and socks and attending this is all she wanted for Christmas this year… The worst of the storm will be hitting during the 11am session Friday 😞

According to local news (AJC) Coca Cola headquarters closed for the storm and construction crews are laying down the cranes used near the Mercedes Benz stadium. I wish Sephora would send an update out for everyone.

This is so disappointing! I just got a notice that my flight for tomorrow was canceled, trying to find a way to get there before Saturday morning. I'm from Houston so I completely understand hurricanes are no joke but of course, it would happen over the weekend which I have been looking forward to since July!

I’m so sorry honey. I’m checking my flight every hour. I am Flying out from Gulfport, MS but I am flying tonight so hoping I can make it but I’m concerned that Friday session will be cancelled bc the weather will be so bad. Schools and universities are already closed Friday. Be safe and I hope it works out for you. It’s so unfortunate we have paid and have been looking forward to this for months!

Whoever is in charge of this event is causing unnecessary panic due to their lack of communication. They told us they would inform us by 12 PM Eastern today whether or not the event is still happening but flights are getting canceled and people have to arrange their lives. At what point are they going to do right by their customers?

I am in the same boat - Was flying in tomorrow (Friday) to be there for my ticket for Saturday but then my flight got canceled. So even if it goes on, uh..., I can't get there lol So I'm hoping the team informs us and issues out refund despite their no-refund policy.

Friday ticket holder here. Received email at 2:03pm est advising that we would be advised by “this evening.”
