Ok, it looks different from the one listed @GYS57 , but that's still pretty cool considering anytime I've gone to an event in store it's been underwhelming.

@GYS57 I tried to find more info about the Skinfix camera (actual make & model, etc.) you received. Apparently it’s a very small digital camera that was sent out in PR kits to beauty influencers (or whatever they call themselves now), but I have no idea which camera company makes it.

I do know who makes the advertised INSTAX Mini 12 camera: Fuji. That camera takes instant print photos, pretty much like a Polaroid camera. This nostalgic camera seems to amaze teens and 20somethings. 😂 But anyway, I understand your frustration: if the event advertised a Fuji instant camera, then that’s what I’d expect to receive. Not a tiny digital camera. Sorry you didn’t get what was advertised.

I just saw a video clip of someone playing Tetris on the tiny digital camera so, maybe that’s something positive? I mean sure, it’s great that you received ANYthing at all, but this is not a minor substitution. It’s like going to a bakery that advertises warm apple pie and being served cold key lime pie instead. The latter’s not necessarily bad (unless you hate key lime pie), just unexpected and not what’s advertised. Someone on Sephora’s marketing team messed up there.

@WinglessOne, you're right, but I'm amazed that there even was a camera.

Anytime I've attempted a store event, there's only one lone employee that has an idea of what I am talking about, and usually they just walk me over to a rep from the brand. The only one I liked was a Maison Margiela one, and the item was just a simple bag, but the rep was great and gave me ideas for scent combos.

@GYS57 @I’m just speaking from what I would do. Did you complain to the Sephora store or the brand reps that were there?
