Hi, @abstraktgirl ! For the past few years, I've been using the <LI-PRODUCT title="SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Foundation Brush #70" id="P420019_2290039"></LI-PRODUCT> . I even have a backup! I used to use a very firm brush. This is more on the medium to medium-firm side. It has some give to it. My tastes changed over the years. I think firmness is personal preference. If a brush is too soft, I'm worried it won't spread the foundation around. Plus after spreading the foundation, I like to stiple. I think the medium/firmer bristles work better for that. Again, personal preference.

I want to switch from sponges to a brush when I wear liquid foundation. Any brush recommendations?

Can you elaborate as to why you prefer soft or firm please? Thanks!

@abstraktgirl,like @Titian06 , it's preference. I like them medium, not exactly stiff, but not too wipsy. What I've noticed is that I like my foundation brushes to be dense and/or angled, because I feel like I get medium coverage best with those. I need coverage mostly around my jaw line, and a light amount on my forehead, so an angle brush helps me distribute. Plus, the brush can be used for other complexion products when it is angled, such as blush and bronzer. The density helps me control how much I lay down, but I still need to blend, hence the medium answer.

This is a fabulous brush - <LI-PRODUCT title="Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Face 1.0 All Over Complexion Brush - For Foundation, Blush, Bronzer & Powder" id="P506673_2709541"></LI-PRODUCT>

I also like <LI-PRODUCT title="SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Foundation Brush #47" id="P404041_2596476"></LI-PRODUCT>

<LI-PRODUCT title="SEPHORA COLLECTION Makeup Match Foundation Brush" id="P460843_"></LI-PRODUCT>
