MAC Mineralize Eyes [ Edited ]

Hiya Guys and Girls,

So I know Sephora doesnt carry MAC and I actually dont shop al MAC all that much, I have maybe bought 2 or 3 products ever from them, but I was passing the MAC Station in Macy's today and their new Mineralize Eye Shadows caught my eye - they were so sparkly and beautiful.  The ones I swatched are 1) Cinderfella 2) Water and Ice and 3) Fresh and Mint. I wish the lighting had been better but you could see the sparkle from a mile away and I only glided my finger slightly over the product to pick up the color.

Maybe not for everyday wear but definitely special occasions. Also its not chuncks of glitter that make it sparkle this way, but the powder itself, if that makes sense.

I really might have to pick one of these up!

I only own 2 MAC items, a cream shadow and a lipstick and I'm not too crazy about either of those. I looked up those shadows on Temptalia and they dont have that good of a score...(C)..but they sure look nice!

@sephoramusthave - thanks for the heads up. I actually went to Temptalia after reading your post.  The new ones, 2012 versions, apparently got a B- rating for the slightly enhanced color payoff but that particular blogger isn't sold on them. But they swatch so nice, I guess its a different story when you put them on your eyes.  I may still try one out but will read more reviews.

I actually had a TON of these duos and trios, but sadly they always came out too light and frosty on me. I have one favorite with silver, lavender and bright purple that I love! Another with a gold and a pink too, those are my favorites!  Lately I've been so into matte shades that's the main reason I haven't worn my own as much!

Thanks for posting the swatches, the colors look fabulous. Also thanks for the heads up about the sparkle, from the product description they don't sound as sparkly as your swatches. I really like Mineralize shadows, but the shininess is always a deal breaker for me because it highlights my fine lid lines.

I don't buy MAC either but these shadows are beautiful. I have a ton of nuetrals so these would be perfect for colors to add.
