I am starting this today since I am a bit too excited for May to begin..for my birthday and all the sun, Mother's day, blossoming flowers and the first time I will be gardening!   My first starting today is lemons!🍋🍋🍋   I would love to see all your hauls both beauty and any thing you have bought or planted for the garden or even indoors 🌷   "Be like a flower and turn your face to the sun." - Kahlil Gibran  (and Don't forget SPF!!!)   🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

So I plan on going to Sephora during summer break and want a few items but the total came out way more than I expected.    lip glosses: Buxom's full on lip creams in dolly and mudslide   eyebrows: ABH brow powder duo in medium brown and benefit's brow gel in medium deep.and a brush that's $ 18.00   I really want to buy everything but it seems too expensive. Should I take some of these out of my list?

I wear SPF every day and love the innovation I am seeing behind the skin-protecting, antiaging beauty ritual. I wanted to highlight few awesome products that I find provide SPF in unconventional and unexpected ways that function on-the-go. No fuss necessary. From sport sticks to setting sprays, there’s no excuse to skimp on sun protection with these skin savers!   Your foundation has been set, your wings are finally symmetrical, your lashes are perfectly separated and your brows are officially on fleek. You’re admiring your craftsmanship and then BOOM it hits you… You forgot to apply SPF! (Ugh!) Rather than redoing your makeup or going without SPF, just spritz this Coola Makeup Setting Spray to protect, set, mattify, and hydrate your skin (yes, seriously!). If you aren’t already sold it’s also great for reapplying on the go, cruelty-free, 70 percent organic and free of parabens, sulfates and phthalates! We all know that there are plenty of foundations with SPF, but when you combine this level of quality ingredients and skincare benefits, I’m going to have to try it!   This compact from AmorePacific provides buildable coverage, SPF 50 protection, hydration and it even brightens the skin with green tea! The quality ingredients are not tested on animals and do not contain parabens, sulfates, or phthalates. Sounds like my serum, moisturizing SPF, foundation and foundation brush combined into one wonder product… This needs to get in my vegan leather bag now!   When I’m enjoying the outdoors the last thing I need to fuss over is a complicated beauty routine. I want long-lasting, waterproof sun protection for my face, lips and eyes which is why the Fresh Sugar Sport Treatment Sunscreen is perfect for any active or outdoorsy lifestyle! The all-in-one formula allows you to quickly apply while you’re out and about so you can get to catching that perfect wave, shredding your favorite mountain or lounging on that warm sand     Now that you’re covered, you can go ahead and plan that stress-free, outdoor adventure! How are you protecting your skin from the sun? Let us know!

i dunno about you guys but this month has been a whirlwind. this month's favorites are a few new babies and a couple rediscovered old timers. surprisingly no skincare, as i'm keeping to what i know (and harp on about all the time) and it's working out grand.   STILA stay all day liquid lipstick, baci . got this, and all my other lipsticks have been neglected. i can't stop. flattering yet subversive nude -- just a hint of purply grey keeps it on the edge. NYX microw brow pencil in black . A PROPER BLACK PENCIL FOR US BLACK HAIR GIRLS !!!! thank the heavens. very similar to ANASTASIA brow wiz, but this formula i've noticed gives a slight sheen to the brow hairs, in a good way--looks more natural that way ! thank you  @MK89  for guiding me toward this little drugstore gem ! ETAT LIBRE D'ORANGE dangerous complicity EDP . the first time i got my nose on this i thought there was nothing dangerous about it. i didn't think it was particularly unique (i still don't, frankly) or exciting about it.  but this one is a slow burn. this perfume is kinda the TLC 'creep' of perfume. just creepin on the down low and then you realize you're intoxicated and in love. (i don't think that's the point of that song. whatever.). very much want to learn more about the chinese o smanthus flower now, too. i've found that boys like it (if you care about that). NARS liquid illuminator, copacabana . i bought this last year and fell in love, only to neglect it because i thought, maybe, it broke me out. turns out it doesn't break me out (we'll blame the amount of stress i was going through when i originally tried it). which is great for me because it's everything i want in a highlighter ! NARS single eyeshadow, lhasa . i've been on a cool tones kick this month (i'm still a bit baffled by this development) and the glorious lhasa has been by my side through the ride. if anyone wants a grey eyeshadow, this is what i'd recommend. a mid-toned grey with a hint of violet and brown that aren't so literal but give lhasa an enchanting depth. pairs beautifully with NARS blondie eyeshadow in the crease.

Inspired by this video @mochapj posted in the Random Thoughts thread:     Because nobody wants to deal with the time commitment (or potential shame spiral) of pricing our collections in their entirety, this refers just to an average day's worth of products. Remember: No matter how bad it is, you're in good company.

Hey gals,   Are there any (new/old fave) beauty products you've been loving this Spring? I find myself reaching for more drugstore makeup than usual (since I went over-budget during the last sale), and loving them too!   Here are some things I'm enjoying. It's a mix of oldies and some new found loves: - Nars Radiant TM (old love, still loving it) - Almay eyeshadow single in Peach Fuzz: such a pretty peach shade which I didn't have. My most worn eyeshadow for the past 2 weeks for sure. - Wet n Wild Proline Felt Tip Eyeliner: I just started my foray into eyeliner, and this little pen is making things relatively easy - Burts Bees Lip Shimmer in Rhubarb: such a pretty shade and so easy to wear. Has a very noticeable peppermint tingly sensation on application which I didn't know if I would love, but I do - L'occitane Verbena Eau de Toilette: my very first Loccitane fragrance, got a small size and am loving the fresh fragrance! perfect for spring! Also, I believe that it's one of their best-seller fragrances. - L'occitane Shea Hand Cream: oldie that my dry hands are craving at the mo.   - PTR De-spot Skin Brightening Corrector: I am in love with this serum, because of how it's helped with the hydration levels of my skin. First skincare product with niacinamide that I've tried and I must say that my skin really loves it. In terms of "de-spotting", results are very gradual, but I love it more for how it has improved my skin overall.   Let's hear your current faves!!

what are those few products you are devoted to ? not your fair-weather friends, but the  in it for the long haul committed parters ? as i pushed the "place order" button on my guerlain maxi lash mascara i realized our relationship had officially reached "the next level", and had me wondering what other products i--and you guys--have that have managed to reach that depth of loyalty that only a woman and her favorite concealer can comprehend.......   i'm thinking of generally keeping this both makeup only, as well as products you still have/repurchase (as in, not things you've broken up with) but of course, list whatever you want. no actual rules here, c'mon.   in no particular order ! GUERLAIN maxi lash mascara (repurchased 4x). this mascara has ruined other mascaras for me, really. my wallet cries but my lashes sing ! need i say more ? NARS radiant creamy concealer (repurchased 10000x; i don't remember, but probably around 6 or 7 times ? more ?!!). my fave concealer, actually matches my skin (which is huge) and doesn't dry out my under eyes, which until i found this  concealer was a problem for me. GIORGIO ARMANI luminous silk foundation (repurchased 5x). the only wavering commitment i have to this foundation is for navigating color matches. but the texture, wear, coverage and over all effect make this my HG foundation. MAC honey love matte lipstick. (5x ?) granted, honeylove has faded to the background over the past year, but i've repurchased this baby over and over, and is definitely the most repurchased lipstick in my collection... i'll add more if i think of any ! how 'bout you ?

A thread to share and ask about tips, tricks and experiments.    Maybe you experimented with different shades of lipsticks and came up with a great new color or you found an awesome DIY face mask recipe. Whatever it is, this is the place to share!   This isn't beauty but thought I'd share anyway...    If you have a cold or you are loosing your voice mix equal parts white vinegar and honey, shake well and take a tablespoon as needed. I swear by this when I get sick!

With Mother's Day around the corner, wouldn't it be nice to pamper her with something special?  What would your mom want for Mother's Day to make her feel more beautiful?  My mom is not into makeup so I'm thinking I may take her to the salon for a new hairstyle.

I was doing a little spring cleaning and came across two beauty books that I forgot I even had.  Now that I have found a love for high quality makeup and skincare, I appreciate my books dearly.  The ones I have are Bobbi Brown, Living Beauty & Kate Somerville Complexion Perfection!  I especially like Kate's book.  Any other recommendations?

I was thinking it would be a nice idea to have an "all things Ulta" thread where we can post deals, GWP's, new products, etc!  It would be easier to find things all in one place, as I know I can't be the only one who stalks the beauty breaks and extra point promos!

So I am about halfway through "The Life Changing Magic of Tidying," and am trying to implement some things already. I'm basically just thinking I'm doing it wrong. This isn't quite beauty related, but I'd never heard of this book before BT and it will eventually effect makeup/beauty. Have any any of you read this book and seriously tried to implement her "teachings?" The first category is clothing, which is actually the toughest possible thing for me to go through and I'm really struggling.

Can anyone recommend a great gold paint color? I am driving myself crazy with choosing the right one for my dining room.   This has been a project long in the works — a ton of sanding, paint removal, prepping, priming — and now we're in the final stretch and only have to paint the final color. Only problem is, I can't find the right color. I don't want anything too yellow, too green, too brown, or too dark. I thought I'd found one, but it's reading too yellow on my walls. Can anyone help out? Pleeeeezzzzz? Thanks in advance!

Last night i was super lucky and got to attend a YSL event in Sydney and got a personalised YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Lipstick with my initials.     (excuse the terrible nails!)   Whilst I am squealing with excitement, it got me thinking - has anybody else gotten personalised items from various brands?   I almost feel too scared to use this!!   NB: I live in Sydney, Australia!

Hi, Has anybody ever had any luck getting a response from this company?  I placed an order on Natashadenona.com a few days ago.  About 5 min later, I noticed that if you swatch the products or open them at all they will not allow a return. So I immediately contacted them to cancel my order. No response. I emailed them again the following morning. No response.  However, I did get a notice that my order had shipped. Ugh. I tried to find a phone number there doesn't seem to be one  I guess the best thing to do is refuse the package when it comes. I just hope I'm home.   For the price of the items, you would think they could invest in better cust svc. Since I have never used or swatched the products before I think I'll stick to orders from beautylish. Their cust svc/return policy is top notch!

What is it that you can't resist buying? Makeup? Nail Polish? Skin Care? Maybe it’s a specific product like blush or lipstick, or even a specific color or brand.  What do you have plenty of yet keep buying? What are you obsessed with?   I can't resist coral or nude/beige lipsticks.  I also can't resist buying blue/green shadows... actually shadows in general are my weakness. MAC is definitely a weakness for me and now so is Viseart! I also have a weakness for silver jewelry.

Sometimes we just throw things on our lists that we mean to buy... but then never get around to it.    For me, personally, new releases seem to grab my attention(looking at you, Bite Amuse Bouche lipsticks)... and I forgot about other things I wanted to buy. More "permanent" items part of makeup brands' collections seem to get overshadowed, or just items that don't get talked about much anymore.    So, spill the beans; what items have been on your list the longest, that you still haven't purchased?   For me, it's 3 NARS blushes; Sin, Taos, and Outlaw.    I am ashamed.
