I thought since a few BTer's like mermaids, unicorns, cute stuff, iridescent/holographic items... I'd start a thread so we could post all the products (beauty or not) that could fit this category.... even more enabling! hahahaha Share products you find that you think others might like.... For example: Starbucks Rainbow Foil Cold Cup Tumbler, 24 fl oz Iridescent Waves Cold Cup, 16 fl oz
Did anyone else take a survey about possible changes/features to the rewards program? I got the option to take it in my email along with 100 bonus points for taking it What did everyone think of it? I thought some of the options were very appealing! In particular the options for in-house beauty event, points for advice/sharing pics and info with other members(which we all already do ), and top secret products available to only you lol I thought the last one would be interesting in practice haha

Recently I happened to read an article which says that copper in water can become toxic and increase the risk of many health disorders. It dilutes the blood vessels in the skin . I need guidance in this matter because I was planning to do a big revamp for my bathroom. I wanted to get copper or brass faucets from better living. I checked for the site too but couldn't find much info in this regard. Am I too sensitive and ignore such warning?
On breakout days, we set our sights on Sunday Riley’s U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil to soothe our acne woes. This fast-acting, quick-drying, medicated, dry oil helps clear up acne and blackhead-causing buildup and debris from congested pores. Formulated with 1.5 percent salicylic acid to promote blemish-free skin, it’s also powered by tea tree and black cumin seed oils to support clear skin. It’s infused with hexylresorcinol and licorice to naturally brighten the look of dark spots for a more even-toned appearance. As an added bonus, it contains milk thistle and cucumber seed oils, which work together to smooth the appearance of lines and wrinkles and prevent your skin from drying out—without leaving behind a greasy residue. It’s the solution to clearer skin that you’ve been searching for. –Lauren P.

I keep a giant vase full of samples and it's been Out Of Control for the past several months. Tonight on a whim I decided to dig through and make some sense of the madness. I got rid of some stuff, pulled out some stuff I want to start using right away and divided up the rest into separate categories. After going through everything I landed on dividing into these categories: makeup, primers, cleansers, masks, fragrance, moisturizers (face and body, including serums), hair and misc (which actually didn't have too much in it). I feel a lot better finally getting this done. One small step! Here is the before and after with my curious helper Ruthie. I lost track of time on this project but the time stamps on the photo tell me it took about two hours.
Hello! I make my buying decisions based on 'research' on reviews, vids, custom-store samples, etc. But Sephora offers (3) free samples with every order in the hopes of enticing us to buy things we normally wouldn't. I recently started to wonder if the random selection of (3) free samples was actually effecting anyone's buying decisions. My experiences: The recent sample of eyebrow pencil from Benefits was fantastic, and I will be making a purchase based on the free sample for the first time. I had always meant to try Smashbox primer, and was sooo excited when I got it as one of my 3 samples.. but I was terrible! Glad I didn't have to make a return! Tell us about your experience with samples!

This is a thread for the new app/game Pokemon Go. Please feel free to share anything and everything about it. Who is your starter? What team do you represent? Any funny stories or places you've caught Pokemon? I started with Squirtle, growing up playing all the Pokemon games I almost always chose the water Pokemon. And Wartortle is one of my top favorites. I just started playing and haven't left my house yet, but I've found a Meowth on my bed. I'm only level two, but when the time comes I will be representing Team Mystic, Articuno is my all time favorite legendary.

Loubilaque Lip Lacquer
For the ultimate in elegant sophistication, check out this bold new lacquer from Christian Louboutin. Nobody combines intense color and bold shine like the master designer. Louboutin’s iconic shoes with their trademark lacquered soles inspired the brand’s incredible nail polish, and now the brilliant shine of patent leather raises lip lacquer to a work of art.
In keeping with the designer’s vision of beauty as art, the component itself is as striking as the effect it creates. The bottle is designed to resemble a crystalline mermaid tail pattern. The design highlights the intense hue of the contents and is topped with a crowned cap reminiscent of Middle Eastern antiquities and the Art Deco movement. All shades come with a gold cap except for the classic signature shade, Rouge Louboutin, which is topped in silver and gold.
The formula itself comes in eight shades from nude to bright. Even the nude shades offer daring results thanks to the incredible pigment concentration and high shine of the formula. For the ultimate in chic and breathtaking beauty, check out these fabulous lacquers that can only be Louboutin. –Kris G.

I'm almost out of my Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder and it's been lovely. I'll need to purchase powder soon and wondering what everyone's favorite is. I have dry skin so I use it to set my concealer and give me a nice base to apply blush and bronzer. I'm open to either pressed or loose powder but my preference is loose. What is your favorite powder?
I just realized we don't have a July Hauls thread yet! This one is inspired by the ridiculously gorgeous Mara Hoffman x Sephora Collection collaboration. Happy Shopping! Can't wait to see what everyone hauls
Welcome back to the deal sharing fun! Deals shared here may also be posted to my blog (same name as the thread) unless you write for BT only. If I share your deal, I will always thank you here. I will heart every deal I see (without an outside or cheat link) to acknowledge it. Beautytalk (the forum) does not allow outside links . A heart with no comment means I already have the deal or am deciding not to list it. Please list the retailer (without the link or cheat link; dot com) if it is not mentioned in the picture. Mods come in more often when they see any type of link. Thanks for sharing (original deals and repeats are welcome)! Please also share any deal haul you want, especially mystery gifts. Discussion is encouraged. A lot of questions come with certain deals or retailers. When I see questions I can answer, I will respond (unless the poster consistently ignores me or someone else already answered the complete question). I read all the main posts (so no need to tag me). If you're replying to a post that is not near the top of the thread and want me or a specific person to see it, please tag us. If you're posting about something on sale at Sephora, please share it here: http://community.sephora.com/t5/Hauls/Sephora-Sale s-Section-Get-it-Now/m-p/2122832#M44949
I just got an e-mail from ebates about a new thing — in store cash back! You add your credit or debit card to your ebates account, find an in-store cash back offer you like (like Sephora), then pay with the linked card in-store to get your money back! No more kicking yourself when you've forgotten to go through ebates first. FYI, Sephora is at 4%!
I'm starting to amass a nice collection of makeup but I have limited counter space. Currently I'm using plastic drawers which is working nicely but they are filling up and I know I'll eventually need to stack another set of drawers on top of the current one. Wondering how you all store your makeup. Anyone want to share pictures and ideas?
'tis that time again, canyabelieve it ? what have been your favorites beauty things this month ? new things, old things, rediscovered and reaffirmed things, whatever the things ! (Patsy and Eddie celebrating their "things. just gorgeous things.") i've admittedly have had a rather low maintenance slow-paced month. but i have a few favorites ! DR DENNIS GROSS alpha beta peel pads, ultra gentle . i used up the majority of my points the past 2 months grabbing up this 100 pt perk over and over. i don't consider my skin sensitive (reactive though, yes, if unhappy), but i find the strength of these, for regular use, to be perfect. i love me some good acids but am very careful not to overdo it (or else i break out !) and these pads have struck the perfect balance. i think far too many people go for the extra-strength ones because they equate "extra strength" with "better". that ain't always the case. highly recommend these. ETAT LIBRE D'ORANGE fat electrician. they call this a "modern vetiver", and sure, the vet is there. but i call this a myrrh miracle. etat is becoming one of my very favorite fragrance brands. NARS audacious lipstick, annabella . my favorite summer red. she's pretty. when i put her on i'm still shocked by how much my face appears brightened ! i'll add stuff as i think about it ! NARS illuminator, silver factory . this was a LE color from the andy warhol collection--a collection that happened before i developed my NARS fixation, or even knew that makeup collections were really a thing. a darling BTer gave this to me AND I AM SO GRATEFUL !! for a silver highlight, it's very wearable, and i've really reallllly enjoyed not only just finally having something from this collection, but actually using it too <3
So I keep all of my makeup in the closet of my dressing room. I just ordered some MUJI acrylic drawer sets and am working on getting everything organized. When you open the closet door it blocks the window in the dressing room and even with the ceiling light on, it's quite dark in the closet. I'm not really in the market to hire an electrician to come out and put lighting in this closet. It's soooo tiny anyhow. Does anyone have any ideas for lighting? I've seen some cabinet lighting LED on Amazon, but I wonder if it will be bright enough to make it functional. Thanks!

Hey BTers! I was wondering if anyone would be interested in local trades. That is, you could meet the person FTF with whom you'd be trading with and it would save shipping charge. It could be a win win! I have a few items I wanted to trade but find myself not on the trade thread because I'm not sure who the successful traders are, I am online primarily on my phone and creating and searching lists are not very easy (I did try when I missed out on the Maestro offer GA had and wanted to see if someone put it up for trade) and who am I kidding- I'm CHEAP when it comes to shipping So I was thinking if enough people are interested we could make this a thing. We could make it searchable by creating a format for our trades: ie " <major city> local area trade <item> " For example I am in the Dallas area. I currently have a few items I really won't use. I will list it out and specify on the comments. Hopefully I find a home for my items and maybe make a friend I'm not sure what guidelines we need yet so if many are interested we can come up with guidelines together.
Sometimes people ask your advice and you give it, only realizing later that it was wrong/incorrect... but sometimes people ask advice and a little piece of you wants to steer them wrong.. Welcome to Ms.Information! Share the worst advice you can give someone.. bonus points if you can come up with a rational-sounding explanation to back it up! My advice: It is important never to use a promo code unless someone else has already tried it and posted pictures of what you will receive. That way you can make sure it works, and that the item(s) you receive are as advertised. It is sure to save you disappointment! *disclaimer: never ever follow my advice.

Okay ladies and gentlepeople, My shaver has given up on me. Called it quits, headed for the non hairy hills...LOL I'm looking for a waterproof electric shaver for the bikini and underarm areas. I'm a dark skin woman with coarse hair. I use a regular razor for my legs BUT I have found an electric shaver works well on the other areas. I'm looking at this as an investment BUT I don't want to spend a ton of $$$. Anyone have any recs?
