Happy Thanksgiving to all you beauties here on BT! May you have a wonderful day of peace, relaxation and fun with friends and family. (And be sure to come back here and show your hauls from today and Black Friday beauty shopping).
I did search and didnt see a general place for rants and raves, and well I have a rant! So here we go. I thought this would be good to have, because I know with black friday days away, there is gunna be a few. RANT- I searched and searched online for the best deal for a Clarisonic because I wanted one for myself and one for my mother. I found the best deal on the Shopping network. So, I went ahead placed the order. Good to go. Wake up, to an email saying hey, we tried to call you, we cant process your order please call us. I had no missed calls so first off, no you didnt. So I call, say hey whats up. They double check all my info and say okay were good to go. Cool. I wake up YET AGAIN!! TO the SAME email. I am thinking to myself this cant be right, must just be from before, but I had better call. Sure enough again "we need to check your info" so I do the same thing ALL over again. Explaining wtf, I just did this yesterday. They say they dont know why it happened again. Is all my info right? Uh..Yeah?!? Eye roll. So I say just cancel the order, and I will try again with a different card. So I do just that. (I say so a lot, and am being mindful to not say like every 2 seconds) Get the conformation, aces. NOW AGAIN!!! I get the SAME effing email. I am so so upset. I call, get a rep who just wants to fight with me, keeps telling me to call my bank..CALL MY BANK FOR WHAT? I have been online shopping for YEARS honey, not only that ALL week for christmas. Leme tell you, the issue is NOT my card. So she put all the info again and I am just crossing my fingers that it goes through this time.

Okay, so I don't judge people on their make-up. I don't care if they wear blue eyeshadow or have purple lipstick, if they like it, good for them! BUT. That is because what happens on their face, doesn't affect me. As long as they are not offering me unsolicited advice or being generally mean then we can get along. BUT TESTERS. Oh gosh. Testers are supposed to be there for anyone to use, but sometimes people don't use common sense and thus testers are ruined for everyone. So I want to know. What's your best (er, worst) tester horror story? Whether you had a bad reaction to a tester, saw something gross happen to a tester, or something else tester-related, I am weirdly intrigued by other peoples' experiences with this. haha. Let's hear them!
Just posted to Trendmood's Instagram. It looks like it starts Dec. 2 for VIB and VIB Rouge. $25 off $50 for Rouge $20 off $50 for VIB $15 off $50 for BI (Starts Dec. 3rd) Ends Dec. 14, one time use. Let's try to keep it positive and stay excited for this sale. Yes, it starts the same day for VIB and VIB Rouge, and yes the dollar off difference is only $5, but Sephora is not obligated to do any of this. If you feel like it's not enough of a Rouge perk, then don't participate in the sale and take your business elsewhere. We all clearly love beauty products, and saving money on them is nice too, but the complaints take away from the fun those products are and the joy they bring us. Speaking if products, I will need to really think about what I'm picking up! I have three or four things spinning in my head...
No, not that Bane... that's a whole 'nother thread.* We've all got them. A rogue eyelash, an eyebrow with a mind of its own, that one spot, yeah, that one , you know what I'm talking about... That one, little, unique trait that you get to confront each day and makes you, you. If we're lucky (or just in a really good mood), we come to love and embrace them (or at least just say 'screw it, not today!'), others can just nag on us, no matter how minuscule and even though we're likely the only ones to even realize it exists. I've got one spot right by my lower lip that never quite stays covered and a bare spot on my left brow that I have the blessed opportunity to slay every. single. day. How 'bout you? * http://community.sephora.com/t5/Beauty-Insider/Chi c-Week-gt-Love-Notes-Thread/m-p/1949435#M41605
Ok, so I know there's at least a few Whovians wandering around here, so I'm thinking we need a place to discuss our beloved show, rant about the writing, and fight over who's the best doctor. So. Saturday's episode (Nov 21) -- who saw it??! I'm dying to talk about it! EDIT: And just one little disclosure I want to add: Read this thread at your own risk! Spoilers everywhere!!!
Show me what products you think have the best packaging. This just caught my eye. I get fake nails so I dont even use polish but I want it just for the package. http://www.sephora.com/bottle-service-set-P400953? icid2=Just_Arrived_makeup_sku_grid_P400953_link
It is my Birthday early next month, I just got my email from Sephora that I can get my free gift! Yay! As a December baby I always have to wait all year to get the gift. Anyway while I was in there I remembered I had a coupon from the Lash Stash sampler for a free full size mascara so I redeemed that. I noticed the lady beside me at the till got lots of nice gift boxes with magnetic closures so I asked if I was able to buy some, turns out they were free! My girl was new so I only got one but I will go back and buy more so I can get some more of those boxes because they are really nice. Then! To top it of I saw these HUGE bags on display behind the counter, and asked if these were the sample bags that came with 12 thats the only deal right now, she said no but they were a 250 point perk. SOLD!! The bag is huge and lovely. But now I want to order online so I can get a matching small one...But then I wont get my gift boxes.. I wish we could do the online offers in store as I am sure we all do. Anyway rambling I am just very happy with my nice little mini haul for free.
Hello, I just got a new razor and got razor burn for the first time ever, I dont care about looks or anything I just want the burning pain to go away. I know now what I did wrong to prevent it in future. Just need some pain help.
I received a $50 gift card to Sephora from my cousin who wants me to be more "girly" however I don't buy or use makeup/beauty products. I think I'm fine with how I am. Would anyone be interested in purchasing this from me because honestly this thing will just sit around if I can't find anyone to grab it. I think it would still make a great gift to someone who is actually interested in this stuff. I can verify the details and can ship it out to whomever is interested free of charge.
Grunge lipstick is #TRENDINGatSEPHORA !
The 90s are coming back and we may soon be back to the days of camisoles and boot-cut pants. But what about the other side of the decade? We’re talking about grunge. Disheveled, wild, empowered, and unabashedly sexy, the grunge look took the music world—and soon everyone else—by storm. The look features bold, statement-making lips with shades of cement gray, deep brown, and vampy purple.
After you throw on your ripped jeans and flannel shirt, start your grunge lip look with flawless, plump lips. Scrub with a lip scrub to exfoliate any loose skin, and then hydrate with your favorite balm. Next apply a liner that matches your lipstick to prevent feathering and create perfect definition. This step is really important with the bold grunge shades. Apply your lipstick from the tube or with a brush, depending on the format, and you’re ready to go!
Check out some of our favorites for creating this look:
Urban Decay Matte Revolution Lipstick in Matte Medium Brown. It’s creamy formula doesn’t dry out so lips are kept hydrated.
Nars Audacious Lipstick in Deborah offers amazing glide and a saturated, dark chestnut tone.
Kat Von D Studded Kiss in Piaf offers a cool chocolate base with purple shimmer for adding a hint of mystery to your grunge look.
Bite Matte Crème Lip Crayon in Cognac features orange peel wax for moisture-resistant, long-wearing color.
Buxom Big & Sexy Bold Gel Lipstick in Sinful Cinnamon is a one-swipe matte brown with an ultralightweight gel formula.
When you finish your hot grunge look, take a selfie and share on this thread or on the The Beauty Board . Then get out there and rock on!

What is your top desired holiday gift (something you likely wouldn't buy for yourself but would be ecstatic to receive as a gift)? How would it make you feel? For example, I got my own Christmas most wished for gift this year during the sale - a few Louboutin lipsticks. Corny, but they make me feel very princessy and pampered (gorgeous and that smooth, rich formula). Last year, I got the SK II essence and it made me feel more in control, of my skin and even life (I was prioritizing taking care of me). The D&G Sophia Loren lipstick made me feel more exotic, even though it really is a rich pink (not so exotic but Sophia...in those ads....). You? Bonus question: if you could gift one item, cost no issue, what would it be? I'd take my kids to visit the farm my dad and his mom grew up in...overseas.

Hope lots of people find your party here and post tantalizing goodies of their own! **cough - Sam/Jared and Dean/Jensen 💓 - cough** *hope this posts in the right place in The Lounge. Mods, feel free to move if necessary.
I have this weird anxiety with new makeup and the fear of ruining it. Mostly eye shadows, blushes, bronzes, lipsticks and fresh sugar lips. It's like I hoard makeup and once I get it I'm afraid to use it and ruin the pretttiness of the product. I also realize I do this with other stuff like candles and and pretty stationary. I know it's a waste and slightly borderline hoarding but I can't help but admire how pretty everything looks when its brand new and untouched. Granted it'll just be a waste of makeup if I don't start using it soon 😅
Predictions of what will go on sale later this year? I know the Kat Von D studded palette went on sale and the Hello Kitty Pop Up party palette. Both which I purchased but returned as they didn't work for me. There was also a Buxom palette I remember that went on sale and some other goodies. A bit later on, the Ammo (UD) palette went on sale which I own and love. What do you predict will go on sale? And why?
Hi pretties! You know what today is don’t you? That’s right… Throw Down Thursday!
This week it’s the battle of BECCA highlighters! First came contouring, then came strobing and we quickly realized our love for a luminous complexion. BECCA’s Shimmering Skin Perfectors are a BeautyTalk favorite because of their endless options for a variety of skin textures and tones like the original liquid formula, poured formulation and pressed powder.
So, BeautyTalk, I need to know! Which Shimmering Skin Perfector formula is essential for you to get glowing?!
(Throw Down Thursday Disclaimer: There are no “winners” or “losers,” only courteous opinions based on your preference. Let’s stay civil!)
I read an article that they trying a different model store and plans to expand if it does well. Any thoughts? I read the article on the glamour's "lipstick" website. I would post the link but I'm afraid it'll get taken down.

Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away. I always feel thankful, but this time of year makes me feel even more so. What are you thankful for in beauty, life, and on BT? Do not forget to add what you're thankful for in beauty, so we're on topic. In beauty, I am thankful for concealer. My skin has seen more breakouts and acne in 2015 than any other year in the past decade. It's been a stressful year, and my skin noticed. In life, I am thankful for my husband and kids. My older son has been going through a lot lately and as frustrating as it is, I am glad to be here for him. I am also thankful that my chronic headaches are not cancer. I may live in pain each day, but I may have a lot more days to look forward to. On BT, I am thankful to the community. This is the most positive community I've ever been a part of. As much as I love my Disney community, arguments ensue far more often there. I have not been back there for a while, so I am glad BT is still here. It is ever evolving and though I miss many great friends who no longer log in, I really enjoy meeting new people and corresponding with the ones I've connected so much with. Some of you are more dear to me than real life friends, so I feel like I know you.
As I twisted my ABH Brow Wiz the other day and realized I had reached the end of the product, I experienced a moment of panic. Never fear, I thought. I still have the ABH Brow Duo powder I used prior to discovering my love for the Brow Wiz/brow pencils in general. I dug out my trusty brow brush, gave it a quick "it's your time" pep talk and went to town. Not more than 10 seconds later was I scowling at myself in the mirror, my lightly filled, unassertive brows tauntingly furrowing back at me, llamenting the unexpected end of my beloved Brow Wiz. How did I not realize what could have been? I CAN DO THIS, I urged myself, mentally calculating how many brow fills until the December $20 off $50 sale. It's been almost two weeks. To say my daily brow experience is demoralizing is putting it lightly. Saved by only the tiny piddling away of powder, reminding myself that once upon a time, I spent money on this product and each use makes it money well spent. I don't know exactly how many more brow fills I have until I can be reunited with my beloved Brow Wiz (or other carefully researched brow pencil replacement) at a respectfully discounted price. But every day, I am one day closer. Godspeed. What products have you purchased, or revisited as a result of a sudden, unexpected (or no-so-sudden, expected) turn of events and wondered "How did I ever live with/without this?"
