Just a quick FYI to anyone with a Costco membership; the store near me (Fremont CA to be exact) has Glam Glow Power Mud for around $36. This is the newer mud-oil hybrid deep cleansing treatment. Also, to, and more exciting to me, this Costco also has Chanel nail polish! The price on the nail polish was $20 or so IIRC? Shades included Jade Rose (pale peachy pink), a red and a warm grey (sorry, don't recall the name) and Vertigo, a shimmery dark taupe brown. Vertigo came home with me. Whoohoo for Costco! I had no idea they carried prestige brands, it was my first trip there ever.
What makeup is everyone wearing today? Today I am wearing: 1. Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation in Champagne 2. Benefit Coralista blush 3. TheBalm Mary-Loumanizer 4. Dior Creme de Rose Lipbalm 5. Dior Addict Lipstick in 454 6. Benefit Creaseless Cream shadow in RSVP and under all this I am wearing Neutrogena Pure and Free Liquid Sunblock SPF 50 So c'mon now...confess!

I feel we need our own thread for all of the awesome stuff we get for our furry friends. I love to spoil my two cats almost as much as I love spoiling myself with Sephora goodies And honestly, I can always use more ideas on how to incorporate awesome looking cat toys, climbers, or whatnot into my home. I'll share my current faves in the comments!
A while back I had made a look using the colors of the stray cat that took shelter in my home, I've fed and given her water ever since. This is the second time she's had kittens, unfortunately the last litter didn't survive and from what I know she only had two this time but only one has made it to the barely opening eyes stage. She had them on July 1st. I haven't named the kitty yet, but here's a picture of his(I'm thinking it's a he) cuteness. Taken today.
I was always one of those kids growing up being deathly scared of getting braces. I'm now turning 24 this year, and also going into my second year of having braces. I wanted to improve my confidence kind of like what some of us do with makeup. The braces really have improved my teeth, smile, and confidence over the past year which I'm very thankful for. They are also barely noticeable (clear ceramic) which is great for my profession right now, and wearing red lipstick So long story short, I went to get them tightened yesterday and to no surprise I'm told they will be adding something onto my teeth...a "tongue crib". Without giving me anytime to ask questions or think about this option, they placed the anchors into my back molars to get ready for the device next visit in June. Now, you guys maybe wondering what this tongue crib appliance is...It is basically an orthodontic appliance to resist the tongue from thrusting against one's teeth which causes an overbite and protruding front teeth overtime. After doing some pretty extensive research, I've found it to be a very impractical option for me. I don't have an overbite for one and my front teeth are not protruding forward. I work in a corporate environment and have to socialize with people often, which the crib actually gives you a horrible lisp (which I already have a slight lisp as is). They said I would have to wear it for 1-2 years. I'm just so frustrated right now and don't really know what to do. I already feel like a 12 yr old in a suit with braces on, but adding a tongue crib that has metal spikes in my mouth will make me now talk like a 12 yr old. Ugh! Does anybody have any advice or has experienced orthodontic appliances as an adult? I took a pic of the crib at my orthodontist yesterday. It looks like something out of a horror movie!
I have been picking my skin ever since I was a teen up until now. I didn't know it was an ocd trait. I didn't even know that it had a name - Dermatillomania. It feels strange to put a name to such a habit that I feel is so hard to stop. All I've known for many years is that I have to stop, that this "condition"? was not only harming my skin, but my self confidence as well. Now I'm on a mission to let my poor skin rest and get back to health. Also apparently you can be addicted to sugar. I kind of already knew that I have one hell of a sweet tooth but what i've found just confirmed my suspicions. This habit (disorder?) makes it impossibly hard to stick to a healthy way of eating, which I need to do - in order to lose weight - in order to feel better. ( Not just confidence wise, but health wise too) I've just been stumbling into a lot of interesting, complicated and deep subjects recently. I should probably start (and maintain) a blog lol. What have you found out?
Happy Mani Friday, BT! It's gonna be a beautiful weekend in the Bay, so I wanted a shimmery, summery mani that makes me happy when I look at it. Enter Mermaid's Dream by Deborah Lippmann, an old favorite from my stash (so I suppose this entry doubles as a "Still Obsessed"). Personally, I think it's one of the most perfect glitter polishes I've ever seen. What do you think?
What are you rockin' on your tips this weekend? Show and Tell!
Come and let everyone know if you've done a trade with someone or they've been an awesome TSB contributor! Let's give kudos to our BT BFFs! So a post could be one persons feedback on another, how a trade went, did they ship quickly, etc. and others could reply if they dealt with the same person and how their trade went.
I know this may sound harsh, but I really dislike all drugstore makeup. I'm sure there are many products out that are of great quality, even better than some high end makeup, but I have never found a drugstore product that I have liked. I've tried primers, foundations, powders, eye shadows, eye liners, mascaras, lipsticks, lip glosses, and lip stains, but each product has left me disappointed. I've also tried makeup removers from the drugstore, but they also left me disappointed. Does anyone else dislike drugstore makeup? I've stopped trying drugstore makeup all together now because every product has left me disappointed; which led to quite a bit of money being wasted. I only get high end makeup now because I am rarely ever disappointed with my purchases.
I know there are many ladies on here that qualify as beauty addicts and product junkies and I was wondering, "How do I compare?" So let’s take a count (if you dare)! How much do you have? Foundations/TMs – Primers/Luminzers - Powders - Blush - Lipstick/lipgloss – Eyeshadows – Eyeliner - Multi-use Palettes -
I am sure we all have some products that we use the most and then we "run" to Sephora (or other stores) to repurchase and stock up on it, with a thought - "Just in case or I am about to finish up my other one, so I might as well pick up a back up now... etc" . What are your most used products, the ones you know you'll go and repurchase no matter what? Mine are: - Anastasia Brow Wiz - ohh boy - this is one of my little fave things that I use the most and I buy few of them a year, just because I use it so often. - Nars Creamy Consealer - does its job, so smooth and gives me the coverage I need! - When Travelmate face masque <3 - so amazing, portable, and travel safe/mess free!!
Are there any phrases and/or words that you think are overused and are starting to bug the heck out of you? The one that is getting on my nerves the most is "curated". For example, "this makeup line was curated by our beauty editor." I just feel it's so over the top and pompous. Also, the word "sweet" instead of "cool". I actually heard a woman who had to be at least 75 years old using it. I laughed so hard I almost fell over.
We swatched Bite Beauty's Best Bite Set to see how the color looked on different skintones. What do you think?
Do you have a swatch of this set? Post a pic in the thread below!

So I'd like to maintain a board for the Canadian customers. A place where we can share our events, promos, problems etc. I sometimes see deals and info for Canadians and rather then posting a new convo all the time maybe we can just share on this board. I think it would be easier to communicate with each other if we only had one board to follow. - I recently posted that Nail Polish Canada has free shipping on any orders for a limited time. EDITED: Anyone interested in getting Tonymoly products you can contact them via their Canadian Facebook page to place an order. 5$ shipping, free over purchases 50$. I think they have a store in Pacific Mall in Markham ON Tarte now ships to Canada!
Inspired by my new love for the YSL Babydoll Faux Cils mascara 100pt perk. What products (makeup, skincare, hair care, whatever) have you received samples of or perks of that have become staples in your collection?
So two nights ago I decided to pull out all my lippys and take a sorta inventory on colours and items that would be useful for summer looks. I ended up sitting there with cotton pads and systematically applying and removing one after the other, deciding if I would wear each colour this season or not. I must say I'm sitting pretty with quite a few bright summery lippys. the colours I deemed too dark were shuffled to the back of my drawer. i ended up putting six lippys aside for either my mother or my sister to pick at if they choose cause I thought they were mistakes for me. In the end I feel much more organized, with a better sense of what I own and my lips are super exfoliated from all the swiping and wiping. how do the rest of you keep track of your inventory? Or do you? It just occurred to me that I should have been disinfecting my lippys as I went.... Oh well.
I was at a friends last night and we ended up watching episode after episode of hoarders which was shocking and frightening at the same time. Today I read a comment asking to see my makeup collection so I pulled out my palettes out of their respective drawers for a photo and realized I have more than I thought. Also I realized how anxious I was about my hubby coming up and seeing how many I own. needless to say, they went back very quickly! I'm wondering if this is too many or if I'm just sitting pretty. I do use them all save for the nars ones. how many palettes do you own? do you use them all?
Ulta is the WORST and is impossible to deal with. I have had an issue with my Ulta account for a while now. Everytime I try to process my payment an error message comes up. I called Ulta's customer service about this problem a couple of time and they did nothing to help. All they said was to check my billing and shipping information and wait 24-48 and try processing the order again. They is nothing wrong with my information. Everything is correct. The problem is with Ulta. They have a horrible system. I prefer Sephora so much more. They actually help you with the problems you are having.
I've been on a massive Dolce spree lately... I tried their lipsticks and lip glosses and I'm in love! I also did my normal Kat Von D hoarding as well this month with all the new lippies. So much so, that I haven't yet did my normal Nars round up. Is there a particular brand that you have been snatching up lately anytime you have a couple of bucks in your pocket? What is the brand and how much do you think you spent on your brand addiction? And what do you love about it?
I stopped in to Sephora today , I usually only get there 1 time per month since I don't have one that close to me. I got a lot more than what I came in for lol but I had a great visits & can't wait to try my new items! If anyone has tried any of these products i would love to hear your thoughts on them. Are there any particular products/brands that you are completely loyal to? Ever since I discovered Josie Maran's brand 3 years ago, I have not switched my skincare. That is really saying something, because I am a beauty product junkie! Also, I'm super loyal to WEN since switching to it over 2 years ago. What beauty products/brands are you loyal to and would consider your ultimate holy grail?
