Hi ladies, Read on a blog about getting great discounts on high end beauty items. I think she said the website she buys from is cosme-de. Does anyone have any experiences with this site? Is it legit? Do you guys know of any other LEGIT discount sites? I really am wary about buying online in general, but esp. from not well known international sites. TIA x
For some reason, it's not letting me post this in the main Empties thread, so I'm posting it here. And since I had attempted a dozen times to post and don't want to type out everything again, feel free to ask about anything in the pic. Also, post your own empties.
Hi guys, you are so awesome! Thank you so much. ❤ I just did an update, thanks and mini-rant to the thread I mentioned above, but it didn't show up here on the main page. . Must have gone somewhere else, maybe some of you can find it and check it out. Thanks again sweet friends, new and old.
I am pumped. I don't know if we will get the same sort of offerings as our neighbours down south but I sure hope we get some good deals. There are so many Canadians willing to purchase awesome makeup and just not enough companies/websites etc.. for us Canadians to purchase from. Some websites like Too Faced have started to ship to us but not without the hefty duty price tag and off course our exchange rate sucks right now (and there's always that darn shipping threshold). Even when our exchange was par we have been paying quite a bit of a difference from Americans. We always seem to get the short end of the stick but I'm hoping that changes soon- especially with the launch of Urban Decay (perhaps breaking barriers and offering Canadians what we want?)...
I just wanted to make a suggestion to those that post reviews of products: when you talk about how great a shade or color is, PLEASE, PLEASE also tell us the shade/color name in your review that you are talking about! I get frustrated when someone has raved about a specific shade, and they don't tell me which shade they are raving about! Ugh! They will say "this is the best color for light toned skin", and then they don't say which one they are talking about. Just a suggestion that would really help those reading reviews!
I want to try it out. I am a little skeptical because a lot of unsponsered youtube videos are saying it does not work at all. I already ordered it and im waiting for it to come in the mail but now i am kind of regretting my purchase. For those of you who have tried it AND workout, does it actually help loose stomach fat?
Hi Beauty Pic Pros! I am seeking a good camera for pics of products and makeup selfies. I would also use for traveling pics but mostly concerned about about the aforementioned purpose. l am COMPLETELY ignorant about camera specs and have no idea what attributes make a good camera lol. So if anybody takes pictures for their own blog or instagram or any professional aspect please comment your recommendation here. I am open to any price range but would like to see mid to high price recommendations. Thank you
I was in one of the stores on Tuesday, Sept 1 and there was a song being played that I loved! It sounded like it was sung by Cher or someone that sounds like her - didn't recognize the lyrics or the song. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi ladies! My mom and I have started getting more and more into volunteering and I am trying to compile a list of different purchases that can become tax deductible surrounding the event(s) where the volunteering is taking place. Here are a list of items that I'm not sure whether they would be tax deductible (if tied to volunteering) or not: -gas purchases -food/drink purchases -any purchases while volunteering (buying merchandise, etc) If you know any other tax deductible items, that would be great to share. Thank you!
Hi everyone! I've been off of BT for nearly two months now! I really wish BT worked on my phone... I miss all the lovely BT gals. I will try to get on BT more often; just most of the time I fall asleep before my face hits the pillow. I'm sure a lot of us know the struggle. I'd love to keep in touch with my BT cohorts... does anyone use Instagram? If you do, please send me a PM and I'll add you!! I miss this wonderful amazing supportive community!! Hugs to you all!!
Hey everyone, Just wanted to drop by and share my experience with GetGiftz, an iOS app to earn free gift cards. I only downloaded it because I saw they also offer Sephora cards Basically what you need to do is complete some missions such as surveys, watch videos or test apps for which you earn points and then you can redeem them for the gift cards. I only share this because I already received my first gift card so it really works! Here is the link and if you want 50 free points for the start use my promo code: caparker https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/getgiftz-earn-free -gift-cards/id957306947?mt=8
Hi, all! I'd like to make a place where "spoonies" (people with chronic illnesses and disabilities) can dish. If you're not familiar with the Spoon Theory, check out butyoudontlooksick dotcom. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia (among other things) over a year ago, and it's been an arduous journey. I've found that makeup provides me with an escape from reality; I might feel terrible on the inside, but on the outside I look good Feel free to vent, rant, encourage, and share your experiences with chronic illnesses here. All are welcome!
Was debating whether I want to get this book. None of my local BN's have it so I would have to order it online. However without taking a peek inside I don't know how useful it is. Does anyone have it and can give a review?
I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place, but it's sort of an off topic subject so I thought it would fit here. I'm trying to find some other people in the makeup enthusiast community in Delaware (US) If you have any ideas, please message me or share..thank you!
Hello, everyone. I am 18 years old and I have a passion for makeup but as a hobby-past time. My local sephora has openings to be a beauty advisor I would really love to apply but the only problem is it would be my first job but I've volunteered at this local store in customer service before. Anyways the problem is theres this part in the qualifications/skills section saying 'experience preferred' which do I actually need experience or no? and another thing it also says 'cosmetic experience required' I usually do makeup on myself but I don't have very much experience on giving makeovers to others. Anyways, I really would love to apply but I don't think I can if I don't have any experience / do makeovers on others. What do you guys think? thank you.
Most beauty products make some type of claim to lure us in.... long lashes, no pores, skin as radiant and soft as a newborn. Every so often, a company will make a claim that is just outrageous. What outrageous beauty claims have you seen? Did you try the product? If so, did it live up to its claim? Here's what showed up in my inbox today:
Someone posted a cute tote bag which I believe is sold at Sephora (may be a GWP or something). That got me to thinking...hmmm I wonder if Sephora will branch out into other makeup related things? Even if it was only available at their largest stores and (or) online it would be so fun to be able to purchase stuff that is makeup oriented but NOT makeup. Feel free to add your ideas I love a good tote bag (I know others hate them) I would love to have them in cute colors with makeup related sayings. Maybe even with coordinating makeup bags. Makeup related t-shirt/sweat shirt. PJ sets SHOES. I would LOVE for them to do a collab with TOMS or KEDS or even Nike! Tervis cups ( or coffee mugs, margarita glasses etc), OHMERGAWD I collect those things. Cute storage units, think Alex drawers but in fun bright colors! Candle holders or picture frames with makeup items stamped on them or ones that look like makeup items. So what are some items you would love to see?
I received a pm from SarahBT saying she got my msg that we were having issues starting new threads and IT had taken care of it so this is just a test. It's obviously working for me. Please post here if you are still having issues. Thanks!
My dad just got back from a business trip in France and obviously my mother and I made a list of France-exclusive products that we wanted to get. The only downside is that when my dad gave the SA our list (which was individual product page print outs from the Sephora FR website) she mistakenly gave him a Chanel Allure Deodorant instead of the Chanel Coco Mademoiselle deodorant. Which we obviously can no longer return. And of course my dad didn't think to double check the list because how hard can it be to read and look at the picture and give him the correct product? But he did get everything else on the list and I'm really happy with my Chanel Coco Mademoiselle France-exclusive products like the Hair Mist and the Body Mist. The body mist smells soooo nice!! And my mom is super happy with her YSL Rive Gauche and her Chanel stuff. And the amount of samples he came home with was insane!! He got 4 deluxe samples and they were huge!! And he also got 10+ perfume samples. All of this he got at checkout without even having to ask (and he didn't even know you could ask for samples). They even threw in a Guerlain laptop/ipad protective cover/bag (at least I think that's what it is). I was really really impressed that they gave him all those samples. When I spend the same amount of money here I have to practically beg them for a sample with my purchase (and I only get one) and in France they're giving them out like candy. Next time he goes back to France for business I will get my Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Deodorant.
