i can't believe it's already march ! i love discussing monthly favorites because the positivity and enthusiasm just cheers me up. for me, hmmm: SKINCARE NUDE omega jelly cleanser. i declared it HG status back in late 2014, but feburary i rekindled and reaffirmed my love for it (check the skincare HG thread if you're interested in why ) TATA HARPER replenishing nutrient complex. a facial oil, i got this mid-january, but did not use it much until feb. i love it. it makes my skin happy. it absorbs well and smells divine. skin feels fed (particularly when used in conjunction with the nude cleanser) NUDE miracle mask. i got this as a gift for xmas (yay !) but was hardly able to use it until february as well. i am really enjoying it. it reminds me of the amazing REN glycol lactic mask, even though the nude one does not contain lactic acid (ah, if only it did...) in terms of consistency. it's very gentle and effective so i'd be very confident in recommending this to people wanting to try out AHA masks..... MAKEUP LAURA MERCIER caviar eye sticks.....and cream shadows in general. i've had these since december but only realllly fell in love with them the second half of feb. i love cream shadows because they're easy, they set (when well formulated, and, i've found, not layered on too thick) and while you can layer them for a multi tonal effect, i don't find it necessary. single shades are multi-dimensional enough to really create a beautiful effect while blended out....and i actually prefer 1-2 colors only on my lids, so these are perfect . i can't wait to explore the world of cream shadows even more NARS semi-matte lipstick in catfight. picked this up and it was instant love. their semi-matte lipsticks are just a wonderful formulation and i'd recommend them to anyone looking for a matte lipstick that is non drying (yet non-slippery). GUERLAIN maxi lash mascara. maxi lashes, no clumping, new favorite. smells faintly of roses. ...and finally NARS all day luminous weightless foundation. this has been a very interesting journey. when i trialed it with a sample, i decided to skip it. upon my last day of use i tried a different application method, and i decided i didn't want to go without it. siberia is a perfect match for my skin, and as long as my skin is well prepped, it doesn't look like i have on makeup. layers well for more coverage too (though i'd advise letting a thin layer "set" before applying another layer...and it doesn't take long as this foundation sets fast) HAIR my new SEDU revolution flat iron. i haven't had to purchase a flat iron in nearly a decade. i mourned the death of my chi because that thing has been through e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. with me, traveled the world with me, and patiently waited for me as my head was shaved. but, alas, it's time came and i lovvvvve this new straightener. and, for whatever it's worth, looks super chic with it's black ceramic plates too ! i didn't know my hair could look this shiny. how about you ? any new or rekindled beauty love affairs ?
I have a tremendous amount of samples and have been trying to use them as much as possible --some days I'm more successful than other days. Since I'm on a low-buy, I’m planning on posting the samples that I use on a daily basis and try to really incorporate as many as I can into my daily routine. This will encourage me to make a serious dent in my huge stash of samples and challenge me to keep using as many as I can each day. Who’s with me? Feb 28th: Algenist Eye renewal balm x2 Algenist Retinol Firming and Lifting serum x2 Philospohy renewed hope moisturizer Tom Ford True Coral Lipstick Fresh lip polish x2 Fresh advanced lip therapy x3 Algenist overnight restorative cream Tata Harper Resurfacing mask—I love this and plan on purchasing the full size Lancome Hypnose Star mascara
Today as I am looking through the orders that are on the way to me I noticed that I ordered 2 more of the same product. One I have already (GA Brow Maestro-ordered same color, wanted to order a different one). And I placed two different orders for Glamglow Thirstycleanse! What a dumbo! Now both those orders will have to be returned...ugh! I just can't believe I did this considering I was checking and rechecking my orders. And yes...I ordered them all from Sephora! Go ahead laugh and tell me what I already know,...I am indeed an addict and a goofy one at that. I'm blaming it on the weather since I think it's causing more confusion than usual! Ok that and a serious lack of sleep...zzzzzzz (I wish!)
I know we still have a few more hours until the 1st, but I thought I'd start us off, anyway! I got the email that the Shiseido Veiled Rouge lipstick I tried to buy earlier this week (but got a shadow shipped to me instead, lol) was back in stock, so I decided to try buying it again. Come on guys! Let's hope the second time for Skyglow is the charm What've you hauled or will be hauling this month?
I love buying beautiful powders, and the fact that they perform well is a bonus. However, most of the time the beauty is on the powder itself and goes awway after use.....but it look so pretty on the face it's a shame not to use it......but it look so gorgeous in the pan it is a shame to ruin the embossing/color..... The item in question for me is Guerlain Parure de Nuit, which I KNOW I won't be able to finish in the next 3 years if I use it. It's already a bit smeared after a few use and I'd hate to ruin the gorgeous peacock pattern. I kind of want a back up so I can use my current one without worry, but it's produced at least a year ago and buying a $50+ something that I might not use for another 2 or 3 years is...... Do you ever have such dilemma? Back up of something pretty just so you can use the current one without guilt?
Is the white and the black version the same package? It's confusing. Also, with that tray, you do your top teeth first and then the bottom or just put the mouthpiece in your mouth? How often do you need to redo the treatment? in other words, after you do the first set of treatments, how long does it last? Anyone have any firsthand experience?
Just have to share - ordered some clothes and make up from ASOS and it actually ships from the UK (it's a UK based brand), to my house in Detroit practically overnight. The order was placed in the wee hours of the this morning, 2/25, and it's set for UPS delivery tomorrow. I'm impressed! They carry some fun brands and jewelry and beauty - though some of their clothes are pretty poor quality - I love that they have plus sizes too. Anyway I'm excited about this shopping experience and wanted to share with someone.
In a couple of weeks, the ladies at my church are having a get together to get to know each other better. I've only been there for a month, so this will be my first gathering with them. They are asking that everyone in attendance brings 5 of their favorite things. They said total we should spend $25-30 to put together the five things. And somehow, I don't know if it'll be a game or what. But we are going to exchange things with other ladies. So I am trying to put together a list of my 5 things. So far I have: -Red nail polish (I'm hoping Ulta will have CG Ruby Pumps in stock for this) -Cadbury chocolate (I'm going to try to find the Fruit & Nut bar it is my absolute favorite) -Lipstick (Obviously most of my favorite lipsticks would eat up my whole budget, but I do have an NYX High Voltage lipstick that I've really been loving) I'm trying to decide on the final two things. If I can find a way to represent them and stay in my budget, I would like to do something to show my love for baseball and something for the Marvel universe. What would your five things be?
This afternoon I was playing around with my cart - I added a few things that I'm really lusting after and then I had a thought - What if someone told me that I could have the ultimate Sephora shopping spree and get every single thing that I want? Money is no object. There are a lot of things I would buy, especially if my shopping spree took place in store. I added everything that I would buy online to my cart and I'm rather surprised that it's only $1500.00 worth of stuff. There are a few things that I want that are OOS, but for the most part this is everything. Here's what I would buy. What would you get? Ive searched for this topic and nothing Im really looking for comes up. I have a small situation on my chin happening, and the heat has been messed up at work, so Im also somewhat sweaty. I need to touch up my makeup, but my makeup bag for my purse/desk at work is dismal. I need new stuff. I threw away the small eyeshadow compact, the cream blush, and the concealer. AllI have left are botting linens, a set of brushes in a roll, and eyeliner, and lip products. I just replaced my facial mist, and mascara. I need a small eyeshadow compact, blush, and a way to touch up my face makeup- powder preferable and concealer. AND anything else you gals have that work miracles in a pinch. i typically have bobby pins/perfume/safety pins/bandaids/etc- so no need for those recs. Thank you!

Hi Ladies, I would like to know what to expect when I experienced an incorrect pricing at ULTA. I know that Sephora will handle it promptly but I don't have much experience with ULTA, so I know what might happen next. The product that I purchased was Olay ProX Even Skin Tone Spot Fading Treatment which is listed as 29.99 on Olay website ( http://www.olay.com/en-us/skin-care-products/prox- spot-fading-treatment). However, on ULTA website, it is sold for 44.99. The product is marked down to 38.24 as one of the sale itms but still it is marked higher than the MSPR. ( http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp? productId=xlsImpprod5140199) It's understandable that ULTA does not offer price match but it looks like this is a simple error in their pricing. Can anyone advise what I can do to handle this issue? Will they offer me some refund?

Hello everybody, Happy Friday I need input on what to splurge on this weekend, but not Too expensive. I'm heading to a town tomorrow with the big malls and my Sephora My bday is on Sunday and I'm turning 34, and wish I felt happy about it. So, should I get Guerlain Meteorites or the new Nars eyeshadow palette? What did you ladies or gents buy that made you feel good? Thanks and I appreciate all of you <3
I know that she had been mentioned numerous times but can we please give a little bit of love to Jaclyn Hill. I think she is a stellar makeup artist and she simply seems so sweet. I know that some individuals don't like her (please don't hate here) but I think it seems like she has a great personality that is caring and kind. She also seems to have a great sense of humor. Obviously, I keep saying "seems" because I don't personally know her. Anyway, I just wanted to send some loving vibes out to her, because I was thinking about some of the posts that she has had about people being mean, and it just seems to hurt. I can't imagine putting yourself out there, just trying to help others, and for people to hate on you. Let's send some good vibes to Jaclyn.
I'm really sorry to post this on here but I need to unload this to someone otherwise I'll cause a scene at work. I just got a text that one of my oldest friend's grandmother just passed away. I have known their family my whole life. I didn't get to meet my own grandparents because they lived overseas and passed away early on (my dad's parents passed when he was young and my mom's passed while I was young) This lady who just passed was like a grandmother to me. I spent so much time visiting with her over the years. She always treated me like I really was her granddaughter. I'm not personally close to many people. I don't like people to get too close to me but I had a real soft spot in my heart for her. The last few years her health had been very poor and she was in a nursing home (she was over 90). When I would visit her it would take everything I have to keep it together in front of her. She was a shell of her former self. She couldn't speak and hardly eat. But she always recognized me and she always kissed me when I came. I know death is a part of life and we all have to go some time but it's still hard to deal with when someone this close passes. I'm sorry for this emotional post. I just can't help myself right now.
I know many of you do it. Where do you guys keep your sample stashes?? Keeping mine in the box that carried my Starbucks tumbler at the moment. But as you all can see. Time to move to bigger!!! I can't wait
Ladies, our dear BT community member mygreathair12 (Dan) is going through a difficult time right now. He asked me to share with those who wanted to know that his biopsy yesterday discovered a bit more cancerous growth than anticipated, and also some white spots. He is focussing on that right now, but asked me to reach out to those who had asked about him. I really think Dan could use a big bunch of all our love and support right now as he goes through this difficult time. I'm sure most of us have been touched in some way by cancer at one point or another, so you probably know how much any little bit of support can mean to someone. Please pop in and leave some positive energy for Dan when you have a moment. Dan, we're all thinking of you!!! Stay strong!
with those reviews that has the 20%___20%___20%___ ..I am seeing this a lot lately on product reviews it's irritating as all get out..something wrong with their computers or something? some sort of code?
Thought is start a fun discussion. there are always different rewards for points. Always changing. Which do you guys think have been by far the best offered by Sephora??? (You may say why or just list)
Thought this might be fun for today... what was your first job that you actually got paid to do? It was the summer I turned 15 and I worked at a concession stand in my neighborhood park. I got really good at making sno-cones and cotton candy!
