Exactly what the title says I know we've chatted about this before, but I thought I'd revive the topic with a new thread. With Chic Week coming up and new collections/products/lines dropping what feels like every day, what brands (collections, too, since Sephora's offering can be limited at the brand's discretion) do you wish you saw on shelves? For me, it would be Chanel, Tom Ford, and YSL's Spring collection. Chanel's Illusion d'Ombres (cream shadows) and Glossimers (lip glosses) are calling to me with their siren song, as are Tom Ford's lippies, quads and contour palettes (however exorbitantly priced!!!). I love YSL lippies, so I wish the new colors got some love here at Sephora. Oh, and while we're on the subject, ByTerry and Chantecaille wouldn't hurt, either! I adore both, and don't own nearly enough of either!
What makeup is everyone wearing today? Today I am wearing: 1. Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation in Champagne 2. Benefit Coralista blush 3. TheBalm Mary-Loumanizer 4. Dior Creme de Rose Lipbalm 5. Dior Addict Lipstick in 454 6. Benefit Creaseless Cream shadow in RSVP and under all this I am wearing Neutrogena Pure and Free Liquid Sunblock SPF 50 So c'mon now...confess!
So I ordered a hair mask and several lipsticks from ulta, and I just got the package....like this. What the F***? This would NEVER happen with sephora! I am so disgusted and pissed off. This is so unacceptable.

Hi, My name is Jessica, and I am a Sephora Addict. xx
does everyone else enjoy browsing through the beauty board? I love seeing all the different people out there...all the many ways of doing makeup and hair! It is so fascinating seeing the variety of women--the face shapes, hairstyles, makeup applications. I especially love the ones who are smiling and happy! Enough duck lips and trying to look so seductive. Isn't it fun getting a glimpse at real people and what they wear? The only thing I have noticed is that whenever I try to click on the products or the photos, I get booted off the site. Has anyone else had this happen?
Horray for calamityjane85!!!!!!!! Not only is she an awesome person, but she applies eyeshadow way better than me! Congrats to her and for setting up the rouge system too! Heres to many more hearts calamity!
Go raid that piggy bank, because you can now turn in your loose change for a gift card at Coinstar! go to: coinstar (dot) com/kioskfinder/Sephora to find a machine that dispenses Sephora cards near you. I AM SO EXCITED!
I've been on the Ipsy waiting list, but still look at the thread. I thought we could have a shared thread from all the subscription boxes (including non-beauty ones likes underpants and lifestyle such as Wantable and POPSugar). That way we can live vicariously through each others goodies! (I know there are unboxing videos on YouTube, but I do not have the patience to sit through a five minute video about someone apologizing for the state of their hair. And I know there are blogs where I can see photos, but everyone usually gets different items in their boxes)
1. What's your favorite product that you are wearing today? 2. Anything you are looking forward to? 3. How are your fur babies doing? 4. What are you currently jamming out to? 5. What's for dinner? 1. Guerlain gel pencil eyeliner, I'm on a kick! 2. The weekend! It's supposed to rain, but I've got this excited feeling about this weekend, like anything could happen, I don't know why. 3. My cat just had a bath, so hes enjoying being fluffy and sticking out his chest to look all majestic. 4. Icons Pop, yes it's their I Don't Care song from last summer lol! 5. No clue, taking the fiancé out on a date, waiting for him to decide . He doesn't know I'm buying yet.
I'm trying SO hard not to break my wallet so I'll live vivaciously through y'all's hauls until end of the month. If you are an April baby, don't forget to take advantage of the numerous b-day offerings everywhere(sometimes it take a few days after signing up to get the offer): http://community.sephora.com/t5/Beauty-Insider/Bir thday-Gifts-and-Promos-from-Cosmetic-Companies/m-p ... And of course, before you place an order, don't forget to check the current perks and promo threads that will rob you of all your points and will power: http://community.sephora.com/t5/VIB/Active-Promo-C odes-8-The-quot-I-hope-I-don-t-get-into-trouble/td ... http://community.sephora.com/t5/VIB/Active-List-of -100-Point-Perks/td-p/869671 http://community.sephora.com/t5/VIB/Active-List-of -250-500-and-Male-Point-Perks/td-p/869679 And ebates or whatever rebate website you are using. So what did you get this month?
Does anybody else look at makeup not only as a hobby, but as a distraction? I find it as an escape sometimes. I'm in a long distance relationship, go to school, and work full time. Makeup is a way for me to numb and distract myself. Anyone else feel this way about makeup?
It had been years since I purchased anything from the drugstore until a good friend started telling me all about the great stuff she would find. Lilahtov found those amazing Milani lip colors. Since I am on a serious low buy the next few months I thought I would give some of her product suggestions a try and VOILA! Many of the things she suggested are great!! Then I realized that there should be a thread specifically to share these low cost gems! I mean the Queen of Blending swears by Milani lipsticks, Spoiledbrat loves Wet&wild....why shouldn't I branch out? Maybelline full and soft mascara is my HG after all. How awesome would it be to actually have an idea of what you are buying, and to have even maybe have seen a swatch? Please share your drugstore hauls, swatches and reviews here and share your wealth of knowledge! I know there are lots of us who have favorite things that come from a drugstore And for those of us on a low buy this could be a life saver! Here I go: I bought a Milani lip liner in fuchsia ( love it- definitely worth 4$) , a wet & wild palette in Poster Child, Milani baked shadows in I heart you (red) and Must have fuchsia ( hot pink), and Revlon super lustrous lipstick in creme Cherries in the Snow ( inside swatch) and Revlon super lustrous lipstick shine in Fuchsia shock! So far I know I LOVE both lippies and the lip liner. More to come... All right my savvy shopping beauties! Share your best kept drug store secrets with the rest of us. I can't wait to hear and see!!! for those friends interested in cruelty free drugstore cosmetics here are the brands found to be cruelty free so far***** sulfate found : Milani, NYX , ELF, Wet & Wild, Burt's Bees, Physicians Formula and Jordana
Today I managed to drop my brannnd spankin new MUFE Flash palette Help me feel better by telling me I'm not alone - what have you accidentally dropped/messed up lately? *tries not to get tears on the newly cracked case* And to make matters worse, Hourglass cancelled my order for ONE ambient lighting palette because they thought I was a third party seller??! Today is just not my makeup day.
So I know a lot of us order from Sephora quite frequently, and the boxes are clearly marked with "Sephora" on them. I get several packages a week on average, and today I got two. That also doesn't include any other packages I receive from Ulta, Beauty, etc. I'm sure my post office can sort my mail without looking at the name or address just by looking at the boxes! Anyone else feel this way?
Happy Thursday BT babes! Since "throwback thursday" is such a huge trend, I thought it would be fun to do a "love it or leave it" throwback. Share your fav makeup trend throughout the years... and the one you are SOOOO glad faded away. Enjoy!
Love, love, LOVE it - Classic 50s inspired makeup. That perfect winged liner & a well defined lip. It transcends the decades & really will never go out of style
The 80s. Its fun to reminisce, but I don't think I'd ever be able to pull of the the bights colors, heavy liner, major shadow... just not me!
Cant wait to see what some of your #TBT posts!!
I was just watching a review done by RAEeivew I didn't watcher her videos from the beginning.. so I might be missing something but she literally buys everything high end and in multiples too. as in 6 different Giorgio Armani foundations in her own skin color (I got the feeling that she's buying stuff for her own use) Does she just have a job that pays like a celebrity or is she inherently rich like her dad owns Samsung does anyone know?
Hey all!!! I was just woundering if i go to an ulta store and ask a sale associate for a sample of a product will they give it to me like at sephora. I have been dying to try some Dermalogica products but want samples first. please help
Come and let everyone know if you've done a trade with someone or they've been an awesome TSB contributor! Let's give kudos to our BT BFFs! So a post could be one persons feedback on another, how a trade went, did they ship quickly, etc. and others could reply if they dealt with the same person and how their trade went.
So I'd like to maintain a board for the Canadian customers. A place where we can share our events, promos, problems etc. I sometimes see deals and info for Canadians and rather then posting a new convo all the time maybe we can just share on this board. I think it would be easier to communicate with each other if we only had one board to follow. - I recently posted that Nail Polish Canada has free shipping on any orders for a limited time. EDITED: Anyone interested in getting Tonymoly products you can contact them via their Canadian Facebook page to place an order. 5$ shipping, free over purchases 50$. I think they have a store in Pacific Mall in Markham ON Tarte now ships to Canada!
I've read a lot of reviews about face masks that mention how hard it is to get them off... and I recently saw a thread on beauty talk about favorite masks with a lot of comments about how this and that mask sticks to your skin, so I just wanted to share a quick tip. I'm sure most of you will roll your eyes but maybe someone hasn't thought of it:
You know how some masks say to use a hot damp towel to open your pores? well a damp towel is also a really really good option for washing of a mask without making a huge mess. I have a stack of these IKEA-towels in my beauty cupboard. They are only 49 cents so not a major beauty investment:
When it's time to rinse off, I just soak a towel in warm (not hot) water, wring it out, put it over my face to "wet" the mask and then use it to gently "scrub" my face clean, rising the towel as I go. It only takes a minute, it doesn't create a massive flood on my bathroom floor, and it very gently exfoliates the face. After I get all the mask off I just rinse the towel out and throw it in the washer.
If you're struggling with a mask being annoyingly hard to wash off... give it a try! I think it helps a lot
