I was going to use my beauty insider today since it the last day before it expire..and when i am checking out and enter the beauty insider, the card balance is 0 even though i never use it yet.. it a loyalty reward ($15 0off $50)
I went to my local Sephora store yesterday (Boca Raton, FL) and was disgusted to find out that Sephora has a somewhat new return policy for returns without a receipt. (It's new to me since I usually keep my receipts, unless the item was a gift) I was told by the rude store associate that because I made a return without a receipt within the past 365 days that I would be unable to return the items. I received a number of gifts for my birthday, which was two months ago, that I never used and decided that I would be better off with a store credit to purchase something that I would use. However, I did not have the packing slips or receipts for the items. I usually keep my receipts and packing slips and this and the other return without a receipt were isolated instances. One of the items happened to be a perfume body lotion that is only sold online, but I did not want since I did not get the matching perfume. The store associate initially argued with me that it was not from Sephora until I informed her that it was an online only item. I do not appreciate being treated like a criminal for wanting to make a return! This is not the proper way to handle a VIB customer. I understand that customers were abusing the return policy and that Sephora had to do something about it, but these items were unopened and in the original packaging. The body lotion even had the plastic around it! There should be a different policy for unused and unopened items. I do not have a long history of returning items and have spent a significant amount of money at Sephora over the years. However, I now plan to curtail my spending at Sephora due to this new return policy. One allowance every 365 days is a bit extreme! I recently made a purchase online that was a birthday gift for a friend and I did not give her a gift receipt because the packing slip had multiple items on it and I did not have a gift receipt for the item. That was for a Sephora brand item that obviously could not be mistaken as being bought elsewhere. However, I now regret making that purchase for fear that my friend will not be able to exchange it if she wants something else instead. I was just about to make a purchase of a birthday gift for another friend and opted to purchase it somewhere else due to this situation. Additionally, I was planning to buy many holiday gifts at Sephora and due to this instance, have changed my mind. You are punishing good, honest customers for the mistakes of others and I hope that other customers, like myself, think prior to spending exorbitant amounts of money at Sephora this holiday season until you start treating us better than the criminals you are trying to protect yourselves from! This is not the first complaint I have had about Sephora in the past 365 days, as I was very disappointed by the way the Epic (Fail) Rewards situation was handled. Just as Sephora is not giving me the benefit of the doubt with more than one return without a receipt within 365 days, perhaps since this is the second strike for Sephora within that timeframe, I should not be any more lenient and should take my business elsewhere.
Hello! I was just wondering how long it will take for Urban Decay's Cannonball Ultra Waterproof Mascara to be back in stock online? I've been to two Sephora stores already and they don't have it either.
I wanted to post about an experience I had at SiJCP at a mall in North Carolina (The Streets at Southpoint - Durham) . For the second time in a row, I happened to be in NC when I found out a Rouge event was happening! This last time I couldn't attend the event, but later the day of the event I went to the mall and visited both Sephora and SiJCP. I had fun at both stores, but... There is an employee at SiJCP, Skye, who is truly a great SA. She was fun, helpful, friendly and above all - professional. I appreciated her feedback and direction, and when she asked if there was anything else she could help me find (as we continued to chat quite a bit after I checked out the first time) I made a flippant comment about a lipstick that has been OOS for months and was discontinued and kind of laughed it off, when she told me to wait, she thought she might have it, and went to check. She had two! She looked for more but she ended up just having two unopened, perfect lipsticks that I had been hunting high and low for! I was very excited to get them and even more grateful that she was aware of her store inventory - it truly was my lucky day to have Skye working on the day I visited!
So supposedly Sephora is supposed to be the "no hassle stores" of customer service, and I just have to bring this into view after trying for almost two months to get any help from the staff of this store. I made a 42.00 purchase at this store and I have asked continuously for the points to be added to my BI account with no result. The staff is very non caring, rude and acts like they want to spend no time with the customers with any issues. I ask than an administrator takes the time to look at this issue and come back to this post with a positive result. The staff of this store could use customer service 101 all over again. Very irritating!!!
When will Sephora finally come up with a makeup recycling program? MAC has a great program where you get one free product in exchange for bringing in six empty packages/old products. It's 2015, time to help the environment a bit!
I like testing the color of the products before I buy them, the swatches on the website are great but I can never tell from them or the description if I'm going to actually like the color and if it will look good on me. I really want to try some of Nudestix magnetic eye color pencils, but the two closest stores that stock them are 2 hours away and crossing the border or 3 hours away. There are at least 28 Sephoras between those two locations that are easier to get to and closer to me, why can they distribute product availability more evenly? I get that the Canadian sephoras never have as much variety but there is 20 sephoras that could have been stocked with it closer to the Detroit area, instead of all the way in Lansing.
So I came out of Sephora with a negative balance (second time in two days, this is weird) but this time it was at a JCP Sephora. Can I use JCP Sephora gift cards at regular Sephoras, or just JCP Sephoras?
I've been a VIB for a few years now, and my local Sephora is within walking distance of that "other" brand. I've heard rave reviews about their rewards program, most especially about their generous giving of free product with each new level reached and not samplers. Today, I headed to my Sephora store for the VIB event, got my bag loaded up, and then...went to Ulta. I was actually there to get a tube of NYX lip gloss since I've heard so much about it, but I went through the whole store out of pure curiosity. The verdict? While Ulta does carry drugstore brands and their rewards are pretty lofty in comparison...Sephora has my heart. Ulta felt too "superstore-ish". No offense, but a little...below...the standard and prestige of Sephora. So, Sephora, heed our call! Amp up our VIB rewards. Tidy up the shelves and demos in your stores (our store is a tad lacking in that dept.). And, keep up the great work! = )
I am currently looking for a foundation that is comparable to MAC Pro Long Wear. I really like the makeup but they don't make it the color of my skin tone, it is either too dark or too light. So, I'm going to find something else that works just as we'll. I have oily/sensitive skin that becomes easily irritated. The MAC foundation kept my oil controlled and didn't slide off my face, or come off on my hands and I would like to find something similar, or even better, hopefully. All recommendations are welcome.
