Hi everyone - this is my first post! I'm looking for some suggestions for my mum who has never used a dollop of skincare in her life besides cetaphil/sorbolene on her skin. She is going to attend my brother's wedding and wants to look great and has asked for my help in what she should do for her skin. She want to start seeing results in 4 weeks. Some quick facts about her: She's a 64yo Chinese lady Has only just started using Simple cleanser and L'oreal antiaging day cream with SPF 15 and night creams She has large pores and bags under her eyes Needs to focus on moisture Any guidance on the best products for her?
Does anyone out there know a face serum that is comparable to Nude Advanced Renewal Serum ? The product is no longer available at Sephora and I'm dreading running out of the bottle I have. I need to find a good replacement!

OK I don't know if its just me or everyone is has issue find a foundation that not only feels great on their skin but also is the ACTUAL color OF THEIR SKIN! I live in a small town so it is extremely hard for me to find good high end foundations - we do have a Sears which has clinique, and Shoppers which has Nyx and smash box ext. But the problem comes with the undertones being too pink or too yellow! Benefits are ALL to yellow in their under tone, SmashBox is like pink on me, Clinique *which I own the Stay Matte in 08 Golden Neutral* isn't horrible in under tone but is a little to light for my skin! It also has been cracking and flaking through out the day and driving me nuts. I tried powders, creams, liquids, foams, sprays everything and anything to just try and get something that is natural looking but still hides everything i want. Does anyone have any suggestions on what foundation they like, and how they found their color online? and how to match yourself as people who work in the beauty area's I'm in couldn't match me well at all! Thanks xo !
Does anyone have any advice on what the best product to help reduce skin redness for sensitive/dry skin that is prone to breakouts? Not to cover but something to help correct the problem. Thus far I have used moisturizers from Fresh, Ren, Nuture Me by Ole Henriksen and every product from Mario Badescu with no luck. I've even used DYI solutions such as Manuka Honey. Everything burns my skin. FYI, I've also cut out dairy and wheat.
Hi girls, so I recently found out i've got acne ( sad face!! ) and i'm 18 19 this year and how found I am limited to what makeup products i can use on my skin. I normally only use Clarins products as they're plant based and my skin lovesss their products! I'm wondering what contour kit, cream and powder would be best for my skin due to being prone to acne...please help answer my question all advice and best products is appreciated! <3 I won't use Anastasia's contour kits due to having heard it can be known to break you out into spots
I've got mild acne and some DEEP acne scars. when the new acne fades it leaves light pink scars for a few weeks but fade with time. I basically want something that will help diminish the deeper scars over time (I know it will take FOREVER and I've looked into laser treatments, but for the next year or so I'm trying exfoliators), will help fade the newer scars faster and will do SOMETHING for the deeper scars, as they're probably impossible to get rid of without some sort of laser or filler treatment. Thoughts?
I am in my 20s and have oily skin. Even though I put a pore control bb cream I still get shiny and oily during the day. Blotting paper barely helps. I use Cetaphil Gentle cleanser and their moisturizing cream along with a Japanese brand toner and it still gets oily. Are there any brands to make my skin smoothe, and matte?
HI there! I'm a G80 in foundation but I'm having trouble finding the correct color for the item Tarte Amazonian clay. I don't know if the color Deep Sand or Deep Honey is the correct color for my skin tone.
I know this question has been asked a lot, but I would love some recent responses as a lot of them on here are old, possibly new(er) products. What self tanners for face for pale-ish skin do you recommend? Not ghostly pale but definitely fair skinned. I have a tendency to break out a lot so no oils. Would prefer spray or wipes maybe?? Anybody have suggestions? Thank you!!!
Hello beauties, I need your help with my skin care routine. I didn't care much about until a couple months ago! I live close to Ottawa and in Germany. Every couple months I fly, which makes my skin very dry for a Dareus afterwards! Any recommendations what I can do here? Right now, I just use a moisturizer from nivea for combination skin. I have a special moisturizer though that I put on just when I wear makeup. It's a German brand. It makes the makeup last longer too. To clean I use a cleanser/facewash from Neutrogena. Extra gentle. I was thinking of buying the cleanser from Cetapil because I heard good things about it..... But I haven't really found a moisturizer that I really really like. And I'm looking for a real skincare routine! Right now, I try the philosophy moisturizer. Hope in a jar! That's so far the best I ever had. (When I'm in Canada) When I'm in Canada my face is just a like oily but in Germany mostly an hour after I applied the make-up or cream it is very very oily. If I wouldn't have makeup on, I probably would wash my face! Lol But the skin in my nose is so dry (just when I'm in Germany). What can you recommend? Thank you!
I am currently using a drugstore Retinol, Neutrogena Anti-Wrinkle Cream for night. I know drugstore retinol is pretty diluted and the percentage is pretty low. I was wondering if anyone knew any Retinol products that I could use to gradually climb to higher percentages when the time comes for me to get a stronger dosage. I am 22 so I have no lines or wrinkles YET! Only trying to PREVENT them. Any thoughts and comments are needed, Thank you!
I am a sunless tanner and have been for years but, I recently within the last year have developed a severe allergy to Dihydroxyacetone (DHA). I was a big St. Tropez fan but, cannot use it anymore without developing a horrible itchy/bumpy rash. I have even tried other brands thinking maybe it was just the St Tropez but, I've gotten the reaction with everything that I've tried. Does anyone know of a good Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) free sunless tanner? Help! I'm pale and desperate for a little sun(less!)tan!
I'm debating on trying the Clinique Turnaround Radiance Peel set for my cystic acne red hyperpigmentation. I have fair skin that is slightly sensitive, and responds pretty well to salicylic acid. Any advice with this peel/other peels for this issue would be appreciated. Thanks!
I've been dealing with a particularly stubborn patch of eczema on my eyelid since the end of January. Nothing would hold any moisture in this area. On a whim I decided to apply a bit of the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask (in clear) to my eyelid. The next morning the patch felt smoother and wasn't itchy anymore. After 3 days of applying twice daily, the skin on my eyelid felt normal again. I thought maybe it was cured, but the patch returned after I stopped using mask for three days. Now I'm back to using it twice daily, and again my eyelid is clear of eczema. So I guess it's not a cure, but it's definitely a somewhat unconventional but effective treatment!
Hi! My skin is dry but oily on my lower forehead. I have a few acne spots and a lot of dry patches below my eyebrows, on the upper half of my chin and on my lower cheeks. This is what my routine is now. I use cetaphil to wash my face with a Clarisonic and then I use the neutrogena hydro boost gel creme. I then use a beauty blender to apply either the Too Faced Born this way Foundation or the IT cosmetics cc creme, and apply a Mac setting powder. when I take my makeup off at night I will sometimes put on Vitamin E creme or Aquaphor on my dry patches to help them go away but it doesn't do much. Any suggestions?
