Just started using Kate Somerville products about a week ago... used the Eradikate treatment which I dip q-tips into, and for the past few days I have been using the Eradikate line cleanser and have used the foaming face mask twice.   Here's where it gets complicated: I have combination sensitive skin with cystic acne. I only get a few at a time usually, or just one, but they are always big and horrible. A couple weeks ago my cystic acne turned into impetigo, a staph infection on my face. This has been healing for awhile now and I waited to start Eradikate until it was all closed up.    Eradikate has not been clearing up my cysts at all. I really, really wanted it to work because of all of the raving reviews, but the size does not shrink At my last derm appointment where I got 3 cortisone shots for a couple of cysts, he asked if I would try accutane, but I said no. I have physical health issues and do not want to complicate things with accutane.    Here's the other thing.. I was an idiot and have not been moisturizing since starting Kate Somerville's products. I was leaving the pink sulfur treatment on overnight and knew that my skin could possibly dry out, but figured that just a few days without moisturizing would be ok.    Now my skin is dry, scaly, bumpy, and looks horrible . Tonight I used the glam glow hydrating treatment mask (only for 5 minutes because it burned my skin), then followed up with using Kate Somerville's daily moisturizer for the first time.   TLDR: I am wondering if there is something better for me to use for my sensitive and cystic acne-prone skin than Kate Somerville's line. I thought that it sounded great from all of its reviews but I'm seeing now that I may have been wrong. Tomorrow I plan to go to lush and pick up their full of grace serum to try to restore some moisture. Does anyone have good skin care recommendations for sensitive combination skin? I would consider exchanging my Kate Somerville products if something is more fitting.   Thank you so much.

I just received new order of Clair Light 01 concealer. I did not know the # for this concealer had changed although the name for the color stayed the same. Wondering if the 01 is as grey as it appears on outside of the tube. I hate to open it if the color is different than it was the last time I purchased Clair Light 02.

Hi! I have been using the Dr. Gross daily pads. I was not noticing that much of a difference until a night when I forgot to do the second step. Now I only use the first step and I love it. I am looking for a similar product so I don't waste half of my purchase. I am mainly using it for acne scars. Thanks!!

Natural & Organic
Before you start a course of chemotherapy your doctor explains all the common side effects to you, there are the standard ones we've all heard of before including hair loss, nausea and increased risk of infection and then there are the less known ones such as sore nails and taste changes. But changes to skin are not really talked about in much detail. I was warned that my skin would be more sensitive to sunlight and could become dry but I was so preoccupied by my impending baldness that at first I didn't really think about my skin - that soon changed.   So how did chemotherapy affect my skin? I found that it made it very sensitive and dry, but a plus point was that I never really got blemishes which was a welcome change for me. The steroids I took turned my face a lovely shade of puce for a few days too (I used make up to help with this and will reveal more in a later post). I quickly found that I had to adapt my skincare routine to suit my now very different skin type. At first I did a lot of Googling, blog reading and general online browsing, then when I had the energy I went to department stores and asked for samples to try. I highly recommend this. It is important you try a product before you buy it and do a patch test because skin reactions can be common during chemotherapy and the last thing you want is an even redder face.   For Info : https://fightcancerwithbeauty.com/25-skin-care-for -cancer-patients

Skincare Stories
I love the LXMI Crème du Nil Pore-Refining Moisture Veil but I travel a lot and every time this creme leaks out of the container.  Does anyone have a suggestion I can try to avoid the leaks?  I cannot imagine not using it but it is getting expensive to lose so much product all the time.  I wish they would redesign the packaging as it seems this may be an issue.  My original order leaked out and had to be replaced with the one I am using now.   BTW....this stuff is so good...particularly after a long flight or a late night.  I just love what it does for my skin.

I have an issue with closed comedones. It does not look good when I apply makeup and I have been using several things to try to get rid of them. I use the Belif Problem Solutions Cleansing Foam and the Moisture Bomb cream. I also use Paula's Choice Resist BHA and their Skin Recovery Antioxidant serum that has Retinol in it and COSRX AHA.   I don't know if there is any product that isn't harsh since my skin is sensitive that you can recommend to get rid of these closed comedones.
Oily Skin
I used to have dry patches and oily skin, but I've switched to using Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb, May Coop Raw Sauce, Son & Park Beauty Water, and I use St Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub as a cleanser. My skin has stopped being dry, but it's still oily. It's not as oily as it used to be but I really want to find a way or product(s) that would help my face not be so oily or shiny during the day. Also, I don't wear makeup.
Oily
Hello!  I have very oily skin and enlarged pores.  I currently am using the Clinique 3-Step and I have been using it for about 3-4 months.  I previously used Dermologica and some other random products.  Right now I use the 3 step-in the morning and then at night I use the Clinique City Block Charcoal Clenser in the evening (instead of the 3 Step Clenser) and use my Clarsonic.  I also use the Clinque Moisture Surge after using the gel moisterizer and I like the way it does feel.  I have stopped using it a few days to see if the moisture surge was causing the extra oil.  I am looking for products or regimines, things I can change to make my skin less oily and at least reduce the breakouts.  I can start doing something mid-day to cut down the oil, but the breakouts need to stop! haha.   Thank you for anyone's help!
Antiaging
I am 27 years old, going on 28 in 2 months. I want to continue with anti-aging and wrinkle-prevention skincare. However, I have oily skin and still get blemishes on my cheekbones and have an oily forehead. Is there a moisturizer that can have the anti-aging and wrinkle-prevention effects without causing excess oil on my skin? Thank you!
All Other Concerns
Hi! I have very fair skin so any time a pimple goes away (which thankfully isn't often anymore) it leaves a red spot behind.  I've tried a number of products but they either break me out or just don't work for me.  Any suggestions?

I'm approaching 72.  Have been using Origins A perfect world moisturizer but am wondering if I should switch to Origins starting over age erasing moisturizer?  Or do you have a recommendation for another product for dry, aging skin?

I have combination skin.  I still break out in acne around my chin, especially around my period.  I also am very very fair, so will have discoloration from acne for months after.  So I have oily patches, but then will get dry patches too.  I am a HUGE Sunday Riley fan (Good Genes, Luna).  I was wondering if anyone with a similar skin type recommended UFO or Tidal Cream as part of their routine (or both!)  Thank you!

I am traveling to Antigua in the new year to meet my boyfriend's family. The weather will be very hot and humid compared to what I am used to. I have oily skin and have had trouble with acne since I was twelve years old. My makeup will always come off after a couple hours. I am looking for recommendations for a primer, foundation, and setting powder that will last in hot and humid temperature even with very oily skin.

I've been using a clay mask for a couple weeks that was recommended to me by a lady at a Shoppers drug mart and it seems to be making my skin worse. My skin has become rough and bumpy. I have a s*** ton of blackheads on my forehead and chin that weren't there before and the pores on and around my nose have gotten a lot bigger. Is it just this particular product that I'm using or do clay masks do more damage than good?
