I received a sample of this with my recent order from their sale. It looks interesting. Has anyone tried it? From the directions on my sample it sounded like it would be a good makeup remover before using my regular cleanser. Just looking to see if anyone has any feedback because even across the internet I couldn't find much. Thanks!
I have noticed that Origins has discontinued their Brighter by Nature SPF 35 face moisturizer. Is there another Origins product set to take its place at Sephora? I'm currently using the Perfect World with SPF but don't like it quite as much. Thanks!
Hi ladies! Just a quick note to let you know that Peter Thomas Roth is having a massive sale on several (looks like nine) of their skincare items over on their website. The popular retinol serum that retails for $85, for example, is on sale for $24! So if you are in the market, you should check that out.

This Week's Skindition: EVERYTHINGS GOOD! So, because I love y'all, I feel like sharing my life story on BT in this journal today. Skip this paragraph if you're completely uninterested in my stupid little affairs. Today, I finally got to witness someone within my group of friends getting asked to winter formal. Or at least, that's what I thought. I was walking with one friend and we saw a poster and a crowd of people so I figured that someone was going to get asked. Since this was my first time actually being witness to a proposal, I whipped out my phone and joined the crowd. After a minute or two, I started asking them who was getting asked and a couple of them looked at me like I was mentally impaired, so I asked again. My homie yelled at me "YOU, YOU FOOL!", and I stood there for another minute or two just going "huh?". All in all, it took me about 5 minutes to figure out I was getting asked to winter formal. I'm a fool. Okay, back to the skincare stuff. So the nightmare pimple I had last week just went MIA, which is something I'm sure its pimple friends would cry over, but I was having a little party when I realized the little devil was gone. My skin is disgustingly oily these days though If I run my fingers down my face, my fingers get all shiny. I definitely need to switch to using the Ultra Repair Cream at night, and use a lighter moisturizer during the day. The sunny side (because there must always be a sunny side of everything) of ultra oily face is that I now have a portable tempura frier. Oiliness aside, my face is pretty clear, with the exception of a small bump that I caught while taking today's pictures Barely noticeable at this stage, and still easy to get rid of, but if I didn't catch it today, it'd probably grow into something I wished I killed before it hatched by tomorrow. TY SOS journals. I've been taking a break from makeup this week, although I'm still so addicted that I HAVE to use it on someone, even if it's not me, so my friends have been feeling my wrath this week. Keeping Up with Skincare Goals: So far, I've done a pretty good job with sticking to one routine and putting on SPF. Unfortunately, I'm starting to run low on my FAB pads and cleanser, plus its 2x skincare points so I'm VERY tempted to cheat on my current skincare products. The new Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer I purchased has SPF in it, so I'm covered everyday ^_^ Sadly, I've been neglecting my facials, cutting down on the oily foods (I blame the holidays), going to the sauna (I ran out of tickets!), and I can't stop rubbing my eyes (boring lectures make me sleepy D . I'm also going to start exercising (or attempt to) since I've gotta lose some weight to fit into any dress -_- Product Review: There's not much new stuff this week aside from the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer. I wouldn't really count that as skin care though. I don't feel like it's moisturizing enough on its own, so I do wear it on top of the Ultra Repair Cream. To be honest, I feel like this tinted moisturizer really wasn't worth the price. It offers no coverage and little moisture. The only thing I use it for is the SPF. Stuff I'm Getting (over time): Dear FAB, I apologize for being an adulterous being towards you, but I have a free spirit and a loving heart with lots of love to give, thus I must spread my wings and try other stuff from other brands too! You know there's always a place for you in my heart of hearts <3 I've had dandruff woes this month, and I'm out of my shampoo and conditioner, so I figured it was about time to try a different kind. I've put in a moisturizing mask, a blemish control mask, refill on the FAB pads (they grew on me :/), a toner (still not quite sure if I need it), a new makeup remover for when I'm on the go, a new facial cleanser, and all the hair crud. Shoot... That's a lot of money I guess I can do without the sponge, the hydrating mask, scalp treatment, and toner... or can I? Enable me please. Making Use of Rouge: I figure that I might as well break up my order into several orders so I can get more samples. So far, I feel like this is the only advantage Rouge has given me, but I'm feeling guilty just thinking about it... Do any of you do this?
I had great results from the product, "Brazilian Peel." Will it be back? If not, what products are comparable? It saved me so much money! I can spread product on my face as well as an esthetician, and I can read a clock to remove on time!
I'm looking for an under eye cream that does not burn or irritate if some happens to get in the eyes. Also something that doesn't have almond oil or soy in it. Can anyone suggest an eye cream like this?
Hello there! Since I was 15 years old (now I'm 34) the only problem I had was T-zone oily skin so I used Lancôme Hydracontrole for years, then they replaced for Lancôme Pure Focus, they finally discontinued Pure Focus, I contacted Lancôme and they were useless, they said they didn't have any other replacement. I really would like to stick to Lancôme if you know what product I could us. My only concerns are the tzone oily skin and I really need some SPF. Any advice will be truly appreciate it! Thank you!
All of the sudden my chest and face have broken out with a rash like patch. It is red, dry, and it itches like crazy!! Maybe Rosacia or Eczema? i probably should go to a Dermatologist, but I wanted to see if anyone had any quick fixes for something like this! Does anyone recommend something that will help? Thanks!!!!
Does anyone has any experience with the Lea Journo plum oil? It looks interesting, and the reviewers uniformly LOVE it. I've always liked using oils on my skin, and just bought the NUDE oil after trying it in samples. Is plum good for the skin or just the hair? Thanks for any answers!
Has anyone tried any of the Maskeraide masks? Not at sephora, but I have been eyeing these as [cheaper] alternatives to the masks I have been using. They have a variety (I believe 6 different) masks, and I was hoping to hear some feedback on them! Ps. For all my ladies and gents sitting in front of BT tonight, WOOO! Happy New Years everyone!
For those with moderate to severe acne, cut out (or down on) dairy products. Use an at-home mask with oatmeal, chocolate powder, honey and cottage cheese. For those with eczema: Take warm, short showers (not hot). Don't use wash clothes, they are too irritating. Moisturize immediately after the shower. Look for products with oatmeal, licorice extract and ceramides. Recommendation: Eucerin Eczema Relief. Happy New Year and I wish lovely skin for all of you!
I found an awesome website where I can get a particular brand of skin care that sephora doesn't carry...and monkey spit hot sauce at the same time! Hilarious ! Totally lovin it! (and my husband will too!! Hehe)
I just bought it & got it in the mail today - going to try it for the first time tonight. Apparently it's raved about like crazy and always sold out in the UK (thanks to Caroline Hirons). However, I haven't found many reviews on it besides one Pixiwoo one on Youtube and a on couple of blogs. I'd like to know what more people think about it.
I had this recommended by one of the cast mates at my Sephora. It works wonders! It's called DERMAdoctor Ain't Misbehavin' Medicated Acne Control Serum, and let me tell you, one week and my skin is clear. And it doesn't irritate my skin. I have been searching high and low, so I am thrilled!
In the past, I have been blessed with pretty good skin with minor breakouts and have never really worried or cared to wash my face at night and moisturize with quality products. However, I am nearing 30 and recently started noticing fine lines on my face. This is the main reason that brought me here and now I am like a kid in a candy store with all the options for skincare AND high quality makeup! My question is how much is too much in terms of peels and masks? I have used samples of DDG extra strength alpha beta pads and saw an improvement almost immediately. I also used a sample of Ren Radiance renewal glycolic acid mask and loved that as well, so I plan on stocking up on both during the sale. I am ALSO eyeing up the PTR Age Defense Kit with the 1.5% retinol serum and am wondering if this is necessary at my age? Are any of these products better than the other?
Good afternoon lovely BT-ers! I was wondering if anybody who uses Alpha-H Liquid Gold would be willing to share their experience with it. I've never used a chemical exfoliant treatment before but one of my favorite beauty bloggers featured it as one of her favorites recently and I wanted to get some more opinions before I drop $62 on it (yikes)!
Has anyone used this? I thought about it, and rather then layer a mositurizer on top of my SPF I'd prefer a 2 in 1 knockout. I tried the Murad Mattifying SPF, and while it was mattifying which I loved, the texture was bleh...really sticky and didn't feel nice on the skin. So I did a search and the DDF Mattifying Oil Control UV Moisturizer SPF 15 came up. If you all have more suggestions for Mattiyfing Moisturizers with SPF, bring em on
Hello all of you beauties out there =D I just thought you might be interested in checking out this blog that will bring out your natural beauty simply by using ingredients from your kitchen and a little bit of your time!
Anyone taking advantage of the Shiseido Bonus - never used their products before. Purchase 2 or more skincare products, receive a skincare bonus of your choice: Ibuki, Bio-Performance, White Lucent, Pureness, and Benefiance. I think Ibuki is sold out.
Just got matched today and am looking to see what products people have used and how they liked them. My current match is Smashbox BB cream in Fair. I usually use MAC makeup so am interested to see how the IQ system helps over time. My MAC colour is NW15.
This is the first time I've used cold cream as a makeup remover (followed ole henriksen truth to go wipes). I am so surprised how soft my skin feels and radiant it looks - even in my oily t-zone. Anyone else use this method? Are there any other uses for it - got a huge tub of it?
