So after researching under-eye skin care, I am finding some controversy over whether we really need to purchase moisturizers specifically for the eye area or not. What I am reading states that a good daytime face moisturizer or serum should be sufficient for the under-eye area. The products specifically formulated for under-eye are just twice as expensive for less product. Is this true in your opinion? I have fine-lines under my eyes at age 46 that need moisture in order to resist the 'concealer creasing' that occurs throughout the day. There's got to be a good daily moisturizer that does the trick without having to spend a fortune on these little bottles of eye cream/serum. What do you think?
So I have friends who work for both companies and each swears by their own products. I've been a slacker in terms of skin care and want to find a good regimen to commit to. Any thoughts about these two brands? Or is there a third one that will show more dramatic results? My biggest concerns: - Puffy dark circles around my eyes - Wrinkles around eyes (not super strong, if I have to pick one, the puffiness is worse) - Skin is rougher on cheeks but I get pimples in my chin more often then I think it's fair Maybe three times a month or so... There's one starting right now So I think maybe something with retin acid could help...
I've probably spent the last half hour searching through BT's data base, as i'm trying to decide what skin care items that I want to invest in, when November's 20% off sale rolls around. I've found bits and pieces but nothing concise. My first question is Sunscreen. What kind of skin-protecting product works well under makeup? I just (Sept. 21st) turned 27. (But I still look much younger) And in turn, I'm taking a good hard look at my life as well as my skin care regime and changing what I do not like about it. I've never really used any type of sunscreen product under my makeup. And even though my foundation is spf 15, I do not feel like that it enough. Secondly, Anti-aging skin care products. I'm thinking of trying Murad's "Essential-C" line. I'm trying to start preventative anti-aging care and to heal my skin from my past of dermatillomania. I figured this would kill to birds with one stone? Also here's where the few life questions come in... (location: Ontario,Canada) I want to upgrade my highschool credits ( i graduated when i was 17 but didn't know what i wanted to be when i grew up and honestly just know actually came to a conclusion - it just took me 10 years to figure it out lol) Has anyone upgraded or got new credits before? What site did you use? I think I have to get chemistry, biology and probably math. I want to go to school to become a Vet Tech. Snowboarding. Any advice for a beginner snowboarder? I have never even gone before. I do not have any equipment. I am starting from scratch, so please be gentle lol. Well that's it! I'm not sure where to post this..
Hello - My favorite lightweight moisturizer was discontinued (Shiseido The Skincare). I seriously hate moisturizer that is heavy on my face. Especially, because I put tinted moisturizer over it. I also don't understand the need for the moisturizer to have an SPF AND the foundation to have an SPF. That's a lot of Zinc that seems like overkill to me. I tried the white lucent moisturizer. It is lightweight but I am not in love with what it does to my face. Can anyone recommend a fragrance-free moisturizer that is lightweight and contains no SPF protection or very little?
I live in a tropical climate with dry, sensitive skin and I have a lot of redness especially around my t-zone and chin. I've been experimenting with different products and I need help figuring out why my makeup never turns out the way I want. Lately I've been using Benefit Porefessional and Clinique Moisture Surge Liquid Foundation (I also use Missha BB Cream) and a Clinque compact and when I use those products (especially when I use the compact) my face looks cakey and I'm not sure how to fix it. Should I avoid powders altogether? I think my skin just can't handle too many layers of makeup but with foundation alone it's not enough to fully cover my redness. Please help because I am completely lost on what to do.
I was hoping to find the Bliss micro roller at Sephora! I heard good things about it! Anyone used other micro rollers like Derma Roller in the past? Which one(s) would you recommend? Care to share your experience%
I recently purchased the Glamglow Supermud Mask. I was just wondering, how many times a week do people use the mask? I know on the instructions it says to apple as often as needed, but was wondering what other people's suggestions are. Also, did it help with redness or random breakouts? How quick did people see results? Thanks!
I recently have been noticing small skin colored tiny bumps (5 or so) right under my lower lash line. Since they itch from time to time, I believe it's dry skin. I use my Clarisonic probably every other night and it's been doing an "okay" job of removing the similar types of texture on my face. I do not have acne or oily skin; but normal with dry patches rarely under my nose and eyes. Since my Clarisonic can't really reach right under my lash line without me cleaning my eyeball as well, is there any thing someone can recommend to get this crap gone!? I have a Clinque eye gel that I've been using. I also wear contacts and all the constant touching and tugging on my eyes is literally making me get crows feet at age 20. lol. HELP. P.S. This picture really creeps me out, so I apologize in advance.
Hey y'all! I've been looking around this message board for the past half hour or so and I figured I would ask my own question, sorry if it's already been answered! I'm 22 years old and up until about a year ago I had perfect skin, I had the occasional break out but that was mostly around my period. Now? My entire chin and both cheeks are full of blemishes, scars, white heads, it's ridiculous! I don't know what to do, I don't know if it's hormonal or just a circumstance of stress and poor diet. I have combination skin (I think) sometimes it looks dry, other times it's like it's oozing oil (sorry!) and it's sensitive. I've tried Proactiv and it didn't work, I bought a Clarisonic brush but it didn't really help much. I don't know what works and what doesn't. If you've been through this and you've found a miracle product (I know everything is not going to work for everybody) would you please share your tips and tricks? I've heard of washing your face with something like coconut oil but I'm on the fence about that, I feel like it would just break me out more. Thank you!
My skin is super oily. I have a hard time trying to find a foundation that will stay on all day and not look like a greasy mess. I am currently using Bare Minerals bareskin foundation. I love the coverage but it does not help my oily skin and almost makes it worse. I have also tried Naked foundation too and found it doesnt have enough coverage for me. Help!
Hi I am in my last trimester for my pregnancy how are Lancôme products are they safe. I have combination skin vs Clinique I am so confused tried a lot of products I ahav e some blemishes and scarring but my forehead is uneven and I have congestion please help
I have recently had to change my birth control that no longer offers me acne control. I have oily combination and sensitive skin, ALL the don't want's with skin. I was hoping for a foundation/concealer that mattifys but has good coverage. I'm also looking for one the brightens my face. Seems every time I look in the mirror after applying makeup my face is dull. I'm of with a tip to open my eyes up even to make my face look brighter. The second issue I'm looking to resolve is a skin care product that helps prevent acne and balances out my skin complexion and colour. I need a toner and a cleaners. Would prefer ones already prepared in wipes or pads. A good spot treatment would be good too , however I am allergic to salicylic acid.
Anyone have any suggestions as for a cheaper alternative to Eve Lom Cleanser? I use Retin A and am near-constantly resurfacing & need something as effective for exfoliation. I have combination skin w scarring from acne - old and new. Thank you for ANY input!
I'm a skin care fanatic. I only really got into makeup a few years ago but skincare has always been a focus. Looking through all of the holiday sets (skincare) and what great values they seem to be I thought maybe I should try some new brands. Buying skin care…well…it isn't like I won't use it! So, does anyone have suggestions for which holiday sets I should try? My skin is dry and rarely breaks out. I use Kate Somerville, Philosophy and all the samples I get but haven't tried most of the Sephora skincare brands. Best values? Best skin care? Thanks!
So recently, in the past 4 months or so I have noticed that every once in a while (maybe once a week) after washing my face at night I get this very red warm flush across my face that starts at the top of my cheeks and goes down to my chin. It looks almost like I have a sunburn, and feels uncomfortable and warm. Last night was probably the worst I have ever got it. So I have decided I need to try a new cleanser, currently I am using neutrogena naturals purifying cleanser. So my question is I have acne prone skin, it's combination, and I usually am always breaking out around my chin and jawline, is there any good sensitive skin cleanser/products for sensitive/acne prone skin ? I prefer a paraben free product under $30... But I am open to all suggestions drugstore or high end. Thank you for your time.
I've always had combination skin, but over the last year or so, I've noticed that my skin had become excessively oily (to the point I'm shining like a disco ball within 2-3 hours of makeup application in the morning) and my pores have been enlarged. I've recently switched to Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless foundation, and Matte Translucent powder. I find these help to a degree, but now I'm looking for cleansers and toners that would work for very oily, sensitive, acne prone skin. Any suggestions?
Hi, I have sensitive skin with broken capillaries on the cheeks, slightly oily t-zone and dry cheeks. Years ago I used NeoStrata Level 1 which has approximately 2% glycolic acid. They don't make this product anymore. I used the product once a week and tested along my jaw line and slowly built it up to other areas. Eventually use the product once a week. My skin felt great. Does Sephora carry a glycolic moisturizer with a low percentage? Any rec's for someone with sensitive skin? Thanks!
So, I finally called to get an appointment for a microdermabrasion treatment! I have been wanting to do it for as long as I can remember! I have acne scars that are not hyper pigmented, but I have holes all over my cheeks (like giant pores) that not amount of primer or foundation can cover! Any stories (good or bad) to share? Would you do it again? Is it worth waiting for a groupon or something? Any at home peel or treatment that would be as good? Thanks!
