Hi! I was seeing if any ladies out there had some recommendations for products they have been using. I'm turning 25 in a few weeks, and looking for some new products. I have comination skin, acne-prone and scarring. Looking for day and night products! Thanks!
I will be going to Hawaii for a month and I think that due to the humidity I will need a primer to ensure my makeup has some staying power. Right now I am using the NARS Radiant Tinted Moisturizer and it lasts for me without any primer until about 3-4pm when applied at 7 am. I am in between choosing three different primer options at the moment. Any thoughts on the following: Sephora Collection Beauty Amplifier Ultra Smoothing Primer http://www.sephora.com/beauty-amplifier-ultra-smoo thing-primer-P412147?skuId=1829274&icid2=products% ... Cover FX Calming Primer http://www.sephora.com/calming-primer-P388019?skuI d=1641281&icid2=products%20grid 388019 NARS Pore & Shine & Control Primer http://www.sephora.com/pore-shine-control-primer-P 415963?skuId=1900117&icid2=products%20grid 415963 Or any other recommended primer? I do have oily skin when it comes to the afternoon and more dry in the morning.
I have suffered from oily skin for my entire life. I try to be thankful because I know I'll continue to have fewer wrinkles when I'm older however, for right now I want to die! I have acne prone skin as well (as if it doesn't already go hand in hand!) and I'm currently looking to totally revamp my skincare/makeup routine. I've used foundations such as Kat Von D lock it foundation which moved whenever I would even touch my face, transferring to my hands, you could actually SEE where I had touched my face because the foundation would transfer and separate so badly. I've also tried Nars foundation, Tarte Shape tape concealer which I actually love, but don't think it's great for my oily skin sadly I'm obsessed with Laura Mercier setting powder, and have tried some drugstore foundations, but everything seems to literally want to slide off my face. I have used benefit porefessional primer for about six months and though I love it, I also don't think this is great for oily skin. My Becca poreless primer seems to work well, but I'm open to other suggestions as well. I'm thinking a lot of this could be helped over time with the right skin care. The right wash, toner, moisturizers, and masks could really do the trick as I notice the difference with masks almost immediately, my face loves them! Any good face/sheet mask suggestions for oily/acne prone skin? I've read that I should be hydrating my skin more even though it is oily... I'll literally take all the help I can get! Thanks! xx
Often people ask for recommendations on a skincare routine or for specific products/combinations. This might be a place to share your everyday skincare, both AM and PM. A skincare "what are you wearing" as it were. Hope this is useful. *Age - 40 Skin type - oily/combination Current skin condition - quite dehydrated (winter/indoor heating)* 01/17/16 - AM skincare in the order I used 1. Nude Jelly cleanser (love) 2. Pixi Glow tonic (5% glycolic toner - love) 3. Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Spritz (sample) 4. Radical Skincare Youth Infusion serum - hydrating and anti-ageing (new to me. Testing) 5. Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream (like) 6. Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine cream (really like as an AM moisturizer) I will try to post PM skincare tonight so the post can be comprehensive. General comments - Okay skin. Apparently the age between 38-42 is a transformational time in hormones (dehydrated skin/spots), so I am more aware of how my skin performs/reacts . My skincare definitely has more "actives" now than before.

Hey ladies, I've been using the Klairs C serum for the last three months, pretty religiously and it's been amazing. However, this morning I noticed a little yellow spot inside the pipette that disposes the serum. It's too large to enter or exit the pipette so I'm fairly certain that it's a fungal growth. I tried getting a picture but it's too small and the pipette glass is too reflective for a helpful image. However, like I said, I've only had the serum and been using it for 3 months. The serum has a shelf life of 12 months from opening the bottle. Has this happened to anyone else? I purchased the serum from sokoglam in late November. Also, what do you guys think? Is it contaminated?
This is a place to discuss everything skincare. - Have a question about a product (Or type of product) - Need recommendations - Learned a new tip or trick you want to share with fellow skincare junkies - New to skincare and lost about where to start - Have a skincare emergency ( Bad reaction, broken dropper, lost lid of a jar) Images From top left to clockwise (Essencz, Garnier, Men's Fitness, Harper Bazaar) We have some great thread about skincare but I feel we don't have a general place to discuss skincare which is open for everything from lowend products to luxury skincare. I use the Origins Vitazing moisturizer every day instead of foundation - it gives me a perfect smoothing look without a 'foundation-y' look and it's low maintenance and doesn't make me break out. But Sephora has been out of the Vitazing for weeks now, and I'm running out! Is there another lightly tinted moisturizer that would be a good substitute? Any suggestions? I've tried Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer which I didn't care for (too sunscreen-y smell and too tinted), and Dr Jart's BB cream which looked fabulous but made me break out something awful.
I have some pretty bad stomach issues & in between going to the doctor i"ve been told to try a detox. I never did because I'd always felt peculiar about them. Anyways - I finally decided to try it...& my face is HORRIBLE!!! Is this normal? Does this have anything to even do with it? Honestly, it just made me feel better just to blame it on something else rather than my skin just purely sucking! I also heard a cleanse would help my skin because I would be getting rid of all the gross yuck inside! Is this true? These are the products I'm using now (GENTLE! - I don't get it!) -Kate Sommerville Goatmilk Cleanser -Josie Maran - I switch back and forth between The Argan Oil, Face Butter, Day Moisturizer w/ SPF (mainly the SPF during the day & I'll add the oil if my face is pretty dry - it's been super dehydrated lately!) Kate Sommerville Exfolicate Wash - I just bought this yesterday bc once this is over I know I'm gonna need. Gotta be prepared! lol Bascailly - are these good products to be using during a time like this? Is there anything else I can do to help this issue?
Hi everyone! I'm looking for a good face mask to use once a week, that will help control my acne and prevent further breakouts. I know there are a ton of good ones out there, just trying to find something that will FINALLY work for me! Thanks, y'all. I appreciate it
I have pretty dry under eyes! I moisturize a lot so I don't have dry patches after applying concealer..but it looks and feels so dry. I currently use the Nars creamy concealer. Does anyone have a concealer that doesn't dry their under eyes/accentuate the dryness? I want to try the Urban Decay one but I heard its drying.
Hello, I was wondering if anyone had some skincare suggestions. I am fairly new to the world of skincare and I really want to work towards more radiant skin. I have sensitive and combination skin. I also have some acne problems, but those aren't my main priority at the moment. I was looking into some of Sephora Collection's cleansers and was wondering how those are. Also, how is the Urban Decay Hot Springs Hydrating Gel and would it work alone as a moisturizer? If you have any suggestions or tips, I would really appreciate the help! Thank you!
Hey guys, I'm currently in the market for a hydrating toner that isn't a facial mist that actually hydrates like it says it will. I have dry sensitive skin and on nights that I use a retinol or an acid serum I like to balance it with a hydrating toner, but I don't even know where to start looking. Help?
Do you have UV damaged dry skin like me? As we get older, two components of our skin, collagen and elastin, degenerate, setting the stage for the appearance of wrinkles, creases, folds, and furrows. The breakdown of these components, accelerated by sun exposure and gravity, results in the sagging skin of old age. I've started using a Anti Aging Collagen and Olive Oil Moisturizing Soap by Joesoef Skin Care for my every day routine. It softens and smoothes my skin minimizing lines and wrinkles. It's good for dry to Normal skin. I use the soap on my face and body. You can find their product online. Great moisturizer bar! <3
Hi Beautiful Friends, I am in my mid twenties and looking for a good eye cream. I have some very small fine lines starting on the corners of my eyes so any suggestions are greatly appreciated. As for my skin it's normal to dry and I'm looking to try a vitamin c serum. I've tried Glo cosmetics and liked that product, I'm currently using Argan Oil from Josie Maran and my skin soaks that up. Any travel masks you would recommend I'm going on vacation soon and would love to buy one for my trip.
I'm in my early thirties and started noticing my skin changing a bit. It's a bit rough sometimes and I have a few lines under my eyes. Also, my dark circles are getting worse. Nothing too noticeable, but I would like to get this fixed or prevent more if possible. Looking for suggestions on what works for other women in their 30s. What moisturizers, serums, etc. do you suggest? Also,I have the following items in my cart. Any comments on these would help too: Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream with Super 7 Complex SUNDAY RILEY Luna Sleeping Night Oil CLINIQUE Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief OLEHENRIKSENTruth Serum® Dr. Dennis Gross SkincareAlpha Beta® Universal Daily Peel
I have noticed a lot of chatter about natural skincare products in the beauty world. There is no perfect definition of 'natural skincare' but I am thinking of products that are labeled partially or 100% organic, sulfate-free, paraben-free, plant-based, or just made with simple ingredients.
There are a lot of reasons a product may be considered natural so without overcomplicating the definition I have a question for you all: What are your favorite natural skincare products?
Looking forward to reading your responses!
Does anyone know if Sunday Riley has discontinued its Bionic cream? It's no longer showing on Sephora website or at most other websites. This is the first anti-aging type cream with bells and whistles that I've been able to use without any reactions. Can a mod pipe in and confirm?
I have tried everything under the sun! I just want a really strong, extremely moisturizing eye cream that contains no sulfates, parabens, or frangrances and is ok for sensitive skin! the only thing that has kind of worked on me is burts bee's honey chapstick and olive oil....imagine that every day and trying to wear makeup and not look like you were punched in the face! I know I'm sadly not the only one suffering, please share any tips or tricks for relief and I will owe you for life! Thanks ladies Spoiler (Highlight to read)
