I have dry skin underneath my nose just above my lips and also on the sides of my nose, sometimes it is flaky and sometimes it's bright red and inflamed. Does anyone have any suggestions. I would really appreciate your help!!x
Hi all! I've been loving the Luna Sleeping Oil by Sunday Riley for the last month and have definitely noticed some huge improvements in my fine lines and discoloration. However. I'm still finding myself breaking out a bit in clusters. I've heard great things about both the Artemis and U.F.O. oils from Sunday Riley and was wondering if anyone had a preference between the two. For reference, I'm about to slide into my 30s, have normal-oily skin. I wash my face daily with a Clairsonic and use the Dr. Dennis Gross Acne Eliminating Pads which have definitely been helping as well. I'm basically just looking for the last push in my skin care routine. I'm good applying morning and night and am open to any combo of suggestions. Thanks babes!
I use Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer and RCMA No color setting powder and I've noticed that my under eye after makes my eyes look old and wrinkled. I feel like by setting my under eye with power I look aged. What can I do to prevent this. I want to be able to look more youthful. Am I not using the products right?
I have extremely sensitive skin + oily acne prone skin. I tried Estee Lauder Double Wear and it made me break out so much I got white painful bumps all over my face. I think it might have been an allergic reaction to some ingredients. So I wanted to try a matte medium to full cover foundation and I'm debating between Kat Von D Lock it Foundation and Becca Ever Matte Shine Proof Foundation. Which one should I get ?
I have EXTREMELY oily skin, work in a restaurant in which I am around heat a lot and run around, and I live in Texas where the humidity is decently high. I have yet to really love a foundation that controls my oil, I love power foundations but am open to suggestions.
so, I've recently notice a lot of white bumps and some blackheads on my chin. which product would get rid of that and will work on my sensitive, but OILY skin? I'm desperate to get my smooth skin back, please help me.
I am 35 years old and while I'm begin to get concerned about mild signs of aging, my biggest concern is the acne and bumps I have on my cheeks, chin, and the lower side of my jaw. I use retin-A, and plan to continue doing so, but I've had a hard time finding a cleanser and toner, and perhaps foundation, that works well for me (too many products out there!). Recommendations?
Often people ask for recommendations on a skincare routine or for specific products/combinations. This might be a place to share your everyday skincare, both AM and PM. A skincare "what are you wearing" as it were. Hope this is useful. *Age - 40 Skin type - oily/combination Current skin condition - quite dehydrated (winter/indoor heating)* 01/17/16 - AM skincare in the order I used 1. Nude Jelly cleanser (love) 2. Pixi Glow tonic (5% glycolic toner - love) 3. Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Spritz (sample) 4. Radical Skincare Youth Infusion serum - hydrating and anti-ageing (new to me. Testing) 5. Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream (like) 6. Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine cream (really like as an AM moisturizer) I will try to post PM skincare tonight so the post can be comprehensive. General comments - Okay skin. Apparently the age between 38-42 is a transformational time in hormones (dehydrated skin/spots), so I am more aware of how my skin performs/reacts . My skincare definitely has more "actives" now than before.
I am 26, and am usually pretty awful about taking care of my skin. I never really had an acne issues as a teenager but recently have had really troubled skin. I get oily in my t-zones and am dry elsewhere. I suffer from milia, not around my eyes but most often on my cheeks. Also heavy black heads on my nose and chin, with some in my cheek area. I do own a clarisonic pro which I use when I remember. I live in Florida so I get decent sun exposure. My skin isn't overly sensitive but can be with really abrasive products. Hoping for some good suggestions for a full skin care regimen... i.e. cleanser, toner, serum, eye cream, weekly mask, etc. Anything to help and start preventative work as I get older!
So I was browsing Instagram today and saw something very exciting!! There were several pictures of new Sunday Riley products that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere before. One was an oil (possibly replacing Artemis, since it's being retired?) called UFO Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil. It's a 1.5% salicylic acid dry oil aimed at oily to combination skins and is supposed to target blackheads, acne and signs of aging. There's also a interesting sounding product called Martian Mattifying Gel Toner, though I couldn't find a clear picture of it. Apparently the oil and the toner have already launched in some Sephora stores! I know there are a lot of Sunday Riley lovers here, so I thought it was strange that I haven't heard anyone talking about this! Neither Sephora nor Sunday Riley has mentioned the products at all, so perhaps the stores put it out too early?? I'm very curious, does anyone have any information about it? *Photo credits go to Themakeuprepublicofficial on Instagram
my skin is usually pretty clear, but once in a while i start to feel one of those deep pimples about to surface. is there anything i can do to prevent it from fully forming? i try everything to make it go away as soon as i feel it coming, but within a day or two it turns into a huge blemish that takes weeks to go away. are there any good products i can apply as soon as i feel it coming to stop it from growing? price isn't an issue as long as it works, I'm desperate lol thank you!!
Hi, I would like to know if there is a good moisturizer you would recommand me for an combination skin. (My T zone is really oily) I tried a few like : caudalie, clinique, la rocheposay, Khiels, argan oil josie maran, nothing helped me... Thank you for your Help !
Do you agree with her views on skincare products? I'm on a hunt for my Summer night serum & moisturizer. I think I'm going to purchase the Perricone Blue Plasma even though it stinks so bad of fish & I hate fish. I've been researching products a lot and one of the sites I was on was Paula's Choice. She is not a fan of the serum... Actually the more I read through her "beautypedia" reviews, it seems like she's not a fan of a lot of products. I also got a feeling she was mainly trying to push her own products and Olay. Examples: - She's against treatment cleansers since it's just "washed down the drain". I have to disagree with this. When I use a treatment cleanser, although they can be drying, I do see improvement in my breakouts. - Witch Hazel is bad. I find witch hazel to be an important ingredient when choosing a toner. She think it's just as bad as alcohol if not worse. Products she gave a "poor" rating to: - Anthony Logistic's Glycolic cleanser got a poor rating because it doesn't contain any glycolic acid. - doctor dennis gross's A/B pads since we can just skip step 2 by simply splashing water on our face to deactivate step 1. - Dior Capture Totale One Essential Serum because it's not a "miracle serum" since it's primarily just "water, slip agents, and alcohol" - ExfoliKate - Just about every Ole Henriksen product I love - Origins Checks & Balances, Charcoal Mask & every other decent product from them - Most Murad products I do agree with a few points she makes, like companies need to stop putting active ingredients in clear vials so the sun doesn't break down the properties of the treatment. Also jar packaging is a big no-no for her. I understand that some creams are too thick to be put in a pump, but what about those airless jars that Bosica & Dermadoctor are using? I hate sticking my fingers in jars & the air does break down the active ingredients over time... Overall though, I don't think I'll be going to her site when I'm researching a new product I want to try.
My mother has had red and inflamed skin for a while. She has asked me recently what to do about it but i am not familiar in this area. I was thinking a cooling mask/cream or something of that kind but i am not sure. Any help?
I am looking to change up my skincare routine, and do not know where to start. Any advice is greatly appreciated!! I have been using my Clairsonic nightly with Purity face wash, followed by Clinique clarifying lotion 2, and then Clinique dramaticaly different moisturizers for so long! I have been hearing that i shouldn't use my clairsonic every day. I have very normal skin, not really oily or dry. I tend to have a few breakouts right beside my chin, and a few blackheads beside my nose. My questions are: how often should i use it? what cleanser should i use with it? should i use the same cleanser in the morning, and on the nights i don't use the Clairsonic?
Everyday I feel more and more uncomfortable in my skin. I have fair, sensitive, acne prone dry/combo skin, with acne scars on the sides of my cheeks. Seeing girls with flawless skin and makeup applications makes me feel more self-conscious about my skin and makeup that never seems to look right on me. Too drying and matte, too illuminating and oily, too powdery etc. No matter what foundations or techniques or primers I've used, nothing seems to change. I'd like to toss out everything that I've got and start fresh, including my skin care products and choice of foundation, starting with skin care first. Currently I'm using Garnier face wash for sensitive skin, L'oreal alcohol-free toner, and moisturizer also from Garnier with SPF 30. Once in a while I exfoliate, but I've flipped flopped between products since my skin is sensitive to abrasive beads that are usually in those products. Any suggestions would be amazing! Thank you!
I've been using Pure Perfection for almost a year now and I love it! However, I'm also interested in trying some other Ole moisturizers (especially Express the Truth and Nurture Me), and I see almost all of them have great ratings. Has anyone tried different moisturizers from the line, and if so what are your thoughts on them?
For about the past 2 months my foundation looks gross aroundmy nose. The top of my nose is a little oily, while the sides of nose are dry. I use either the Nivea mens post shave balm that everyone talks about or the maybelline baby skin primer. I switch out between my Loreal infallible pro matte, Maybelline fit me matte and poreless or the revlon colorstay foundations. I have stopped wearing makeup because I don't know what to do. Im looking for something on the affordable side if possible, no more than $30. Thanks!!
