A little bit about my skin: I am 24 and have combination/dry skin I am currently using Philosophy Time in a Bottle as my serum and am really liking it, however I am running out of it and looking to switch it up for a bit. I just don't want my skin to get too used to Time in a Bottle since I am still young and will probably really "need" it in the future lol. I do want a serum with anti-aging benefits and hydration is always a plus. Thanks for taking the time to read this! Looking forward to reading all the suggestions
Hello there! So my aunt, who's probably in her 40's, has some pretty severe hyper pigmentation on her neck! She's constantly embarrassed about it and she has tried many products. Unfortunately I can't list any of them since I don't know and has even gone to a dermatologist... and that has failed. From what I know she has used only lotions and gels. I am hoping for some of you beauty lovers to have an idea or a cure or even know someone who has been able to overcome it and recommend what they used. She's pretty desperate at the moment on trying to get rid of it. to have an idea on what her hyper pigmentation looks like I will link some photos below (not her but what it sort of looks like). Just try to imagine this all on the front of a neck... There isn't anything graphic just a picture of a neck and cheek if you were wondering! https://escholarship.org/uc/item/4580r7rs/1b.jpg http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3BbOj5vt2zA/TkEF2sDjL9I/ AAAAAAAAAE0/rNQg5-PR4yQ/s1600/acanthosis-nigricans ... Please help!
I love her makeup she by far has some of the best products available and doesnt get the recognition she deserves I'am a huge mally beauty fan lipstick , concealer , eyeshadow and all highly recommend her products to everyone here you can thank me later.
Do you agree with her views on skincare products? I'm on a hunt for my Summer night serum & moisturizer. I think I'm going to purchase the Perricone Blue Plasma even though it stinks so bad of fish & I hate fish. I've been researching products a lot and one of the sites I was on was Paula's Choice. She is not a fan of the serum... Actually the more I read through her "beautypedia" reviews, it seems like she's not a fan of a lot of products. I also got a feeling she was mainly trying to push her own products and Olay. Examples: - She's against treatment cleansers since it's just "washed down the drain". I have to disagree with this. When I use a treatment cleanser, although they can be drying, I do see improvement in my breakouts. - Witch Hazel is bad. I find witch hazel to be an important ingredient when choosing a toner. She think it's just as bad as alcohol if not worse. Products she gave a "poor" rating to: - Anthony Logistic's Glycolic cleanser got a poor rating because it doesn't contain any glycolic acid. - doctor dennis gross's A/B pads since we can just skip step 2 by simply splashing water on our face to deactivate step 1. - Dior Capture Totale One Essential Serum because it's not a "miracle serum" since it's primarily just "water, slip agents, and alcohol" - ExfoliKate - Just about every Ole Henriksen product I love - Origins Checks & Balances, Charcoal Mask & every other decent product from them - Most Murad products I do agree with a few points she makes, like companies need to stop putting active ingredients in clear vials so the sun doesn't break down the properties of the treatment. Also jar packaging is a big no-no for her. I understand that some creams are too thick to be put in a pump, but what about those airless jars that Bosica & Dermadoctor are using? I hate sticking my fingers in jars & the air does break down the active ingredients over time... Overall though, I don't think I'll be going to her site when I'm researching a new product I want to try.
I am suffering from wrinkles and rough skin problems. My friends suggested me to use equinox skin care cream by sheridan labs. I have read some scams and some complaints but there are some positive reviews also. Now I am confused, is there anyone who suggests me about it?? Scam or not?
I have lots of eyelashes however they are very short. I know it's weird. After wearing mascara, it turns out quite good. However, I'm so tired of wearing mascara at the moment that I'm considering wearing fake lashes everyday (even at work). I work at an insurance firm. I'm just wondering if you girls will wear fake lashes too during the day at work? Thanks.
I have suffered with kp for years since junior high on my legs. It causes breakouts and scabs to occur. After they heal, I am left with black spots/scars on my legs. I also have this problem on my buttocks. Do you have any suggestions on how to fade these scars/spots?
I'm going to watch a concert tonight. I really like Irina Shayk's hair and makeup look here. Is this a good look for a concert? I also posted what I'm going to be wearing... Let me know if you have any suggestions or if you think this should be fine. It's been awhile since I last watched a concert.
I see that lots of others have had the same trouble with missing samples. I hardly ever shop at the Sephora store just because they never have any samples at all. :-( So I order online especially to try out new things. Some of my favorites have been discoveries I've made only because of samples, e.g., Dior Addict Fluid Stick in Aventure: Once I tried the sample, I couldn't wait to buy it! (I actually got it at the store, because I couldn't wait!) So it is just so, so disappointing when I don't get the samples along with my order. It happened again today. I tore apart all the packaging and the paper filler and everything, just couldn't believe my Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation sample wasn't in there, especially since it is listed on the packing slip. But it's not there. I could understand if they ran out of a particular sample and replaced it with something else, but that's not the case. This is not the first time it's happened, either. I've always felt like, well, it's a freebie, I shouldn't complain, but now it's happened again and I do feel like it shouldn't be offered if it's not going to be fulfilled. My customer experience: Not So Good.
UGH--so busy today and didn't get a chance to check out the sale section today There was a huge markdown on the Tarte cheek stain set and the MUFE set but it looks like its out of stock already! Still--lots of other goodies at great prices there! Lots off OCC and the some Smashbox LE items
I have oily skin, but I am fond of the dewy glowing look! Not the oily shining look! I want to know exactly how I can create this look? I know I need to do strong oil control at skin care and base, so that I can use a dewy/glowy foundation. But I see on Korean girls, even before makeup their skin is SUPER glowing. How can I get that??? I was trying to attach a photo but somehow I can't I'll figure how to attach a photo. Pls advise me how oily skin can get glowing dewy skin without the oily shine!!!! thank you!!!!
I have my face under control I use dr. dennis gross extra strength peel regularly and then put my proactive step 3 on after that before bed and this keeps my face clear but i always end up with pimples in my hairline and farther back into my scalp!! It's extremely irritating and I have thin hair especially towards my face so sometimes they are noticeable...Does anyone have any suggestions for something that could help this? Shampoo/Conditioner combo or some skincare that wouldn't grease/ruin my hair???
I have a lot of blackheads/whiteheads and have small breakouts often, so I usually lay on a ton of makeup. I want to move towards improving my skin so its healthy and glowy and fresh so I can pare down to a really simple makeup routine. Should I switch to a BB or CC cream in lieu of foundation? Or try natural products? Or invest in one of those expensive skin cleanser brushes? I don't know where to start.
hello i was thinking of getting the clarisonic opel does anyone have it and does it really work? Read a lot of good and bad reviews about it, so before i spend that much money i would like know from you beauty ladies your opion please thank you.
i have a great night moisturizer from peter ? and am looking for something during the day (in morning before makeup), the studies on this look incredible , all high 90s on improvement - i have had luck with his peters facial wash and also night cream, so i thought this might be good to try, but its a hefty investment and i wanna be sure i understand what it is, what it does, and if it will help me first 2 questions 1) does this have any harsh chemicals i need to be worried about? would it leave any redness or effects? 2) do i need to put on another moisturizer after or does this product "regenerate" and also moisturize?? i am 34, main goal is to prevent wrinkles, nothing so bad yet. also my face on cheeks can be a bit blotchy with redness but its mild-moderate and doesnt bother me too much
I am looking for some skin care products to help with my dry, sensitive skin (I have eczema). I am also prone to blocked pores if the formula is to thick and doesn't absorb well. I have my daytime moisturizer with SPF squared away, so this would be more for nighttime/weekend use. I tried the High Potency Night-A-Mins™ Mineral-Enriched Renewal and it didn't work for me. My skin never got moisturized, but would end up greasy and has started breaking out. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Does anyone have any suggestions for a great dark circle skincare product or cover up?? I have fair skin and very noticeable blue/purple dark circles under my eyes. To make it worse I have a face full of freckles, which I do love, but if I try and use concealer on my dark circles it draws more attention to the area because it becomes the one non freckly place on my face. Any suggestions? Thank you!

I am going on vacation in October and I plan on doing some serious make-up shopping. I would love to hear some suggestions on products to try. I love a glowy look and I love color. Anyone have/used the PETER THOMAS ROTH 21st birthday set. I'm up in the air to use it. Want to get some feedback. I have oily acne prone skin - medium tan. Please leave a comment if you have it!!! thanks !!
I am looking for a wonderful face primer to put on before my foundation routine. I have oily to combination skin...very large pores on my cheeks by my nose (I need a primer that will shrink those) and I am acne-breakout prone. I have tried porefessional, it it breaks me out every time. Any recommendations on a lightweight primer that won't clog my skin but will also help mattify my skin throughout the day and will make my skin look glowy? Thanks!
