Hello all! I've been gone for awhile but I of course severely went through BT withdrawal! So before I post my general question to the group, I need to reference these two recent incidents I experienced.: 1. The Sephora SA doing my makeover suggested I start using night cream for my eyes. Hello!!! I'm only 36 years old, I have never really taken care of my face except for a ever so needed makeup wipe at the end of the day. Her advice was like brick to my face. 2. After getting a recent facial my t-zone was a dry crumply mess. (btw, never happened before) It not only hurt but my face was bright red. So with that being said, I have adopted using the products below per suggestions for others. And it got me to thinking. I would love to know your routines! Please post your morning and/or evening routines with pics if possible. I will heart everyone's first post to this thread so we can hopefully get the discussion going. Can' wait to hear what all of you have to share! My bedtime skincare routine:
I've been dealing with a particularly stubborn patch of eczema on my eyelid since the end of January. Nothing would hold any moisture in this area. On a whim I decided to apply a bit of the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask (in clear) to my eyelid. The next morning the patch felt smoother and wasn't itchy anymore. After 3 days of applying twice daily, the skin on my eyelid felt normal again. I thought maybe it was cured, but the patch returned after I stopped using mask for three days. Now I'm back to using it twice daily, and again my eyelid is clear of eczema. So I guess it's not a cure, but it's definitely a somewhat unconventional but effective treatment!
It's called "Vivo Per Lei skincare", I went to a mall kiosk, and this salesman was pushing it at me and it did seem to work. But it was only on my hand, and I'm afraid of breakouts which the product could cause me (because I have sensitive skin). Has anyone else tried this product?
Okay! Pre-Cleansing and shaving with coconut oil and water, cleansing with ole's aloe cleanser, then sodium PCA with rose water and glycerin applied after dabbing face dry to tone, then ole's truth serum with some additional absorption time, then neutrogena break out free sunscreen, then olay's sensitive moisutrizer mixed with two drops pure argan oil for extra hydration. Doing this same routine at night but instead of serum and sunscreen I treat with Retin-A and moisturize with First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. My skin just won't calm down, I know it may seem like I'm over-doing it but just a few hours later my skin is flaky, dry, and irritated! I read all my ingredients and make sure everything's alcohol free and as calming as possible but no matter what I do these breakouts are really just horribly irritated shave bumps followed by unquenchable dry patches with an oily t-zone. Taking care of my skin has been something I've been proud of since I was fourteen, sunscreen everyday and hour long bathroom skin routines. No matter what I do or try the unevenness, the acne, the irritation, the dryness, the oiliness, etc IT WON'T STOP Please help
I would like to try some few products from Caudalie. My sister told me that it is a good brand. If you have used any of these products below, please give me your opinions. -Caudalie vinosource serum -Caudalie vinoperfect day fluid spt15 -Caudalie C15 detox oil My skin type is combination, and then to get dehydrated and congested. I also have uneven skintone.
Hi beauties. Got and tried this mask in the mini mask sampler and while I like it, I've only used it once. Does anyone have any experience with using it over a period of time? Was thinking to pick up a full size before the sale is over, but would like to hear from others first. I'm no pumpkin junkie, but the smell is pretty nice. thank you!
You may have seen that I post that I love my Maybelline Dream Finish BB cream in Dark. 'Cause I do! But I've noticed that I get lots of compliments on my skin when I wear it. One person said my skin looked gorgeous (I also use a NARS concealer stick for dark spots). Another person said my skin was glowing. Seriously. And most of the time I use my Lancome Teinte Idole foundation, but it's nice to know that the BB cream does a great job, too. And I love that's so light on my skin.

I received a sample of this with my recent order from their sale. It looks interesting. Has anyone tried it? From the directions on my sample it sounded like it would be a good makeup remover before using my regular cleanser. Just looking to see if anyone has any feedback because even across the internet I couldn't find much. Thanks!
Hi ladies! Just a quick note to let you know that Peter Thomas Roth is having a massive sale on several (looks like nine) of their skincare items over on their website. The popular retinol serum that retails for $85, for example, is on sale for $24! So if you are in the market, you should check that out.

This Week's Skindition: EVERYTHINGS GOOD! So, because I love y'all, I feel like sharing my life story on BT in this journal today. Skip this paragraph if you're completely uninterested in my stupid little affairs. Today, I finally got to witness someone within my group of friends getting asked to winter formal. Or at least, that's what I thought. I was walking with one friend and we saw a poster and a crowd of people so I figured that someone was going to get asked. Since this was my first time actually being witness to a proposal, I whipped out my phone and joined the crowd. After a minute or two, I started asking them who was getting asked and a couple of them looked at me like I was mentally impaired, so I asked again. My homie yelled at me "YOU, YOU FOOL!", and I stood there for another minute or two just going "huh?". All in all, it took me about 5 minutes to figure out I was getting asked to winter formal. I'm a fool. Okay, back to the skincare stuff. So the nightmare pimple I had last week just went MIA, which is something I'm sure its pimple friends would cry over, but I was having a little party when I realized the little devil was gone. My skin is disgustingly oily these days though If I run my fingers down my face, my fingers get all shiny. I definitely need to switch to using the Ultra Repair Cream at night, and use a lighter moisturizer during the day. The sunny side (because there must always be a sunny side of everything) of ultra oily face is that I now have a portable tempura frier. Oiliness aside, my face is pretty clear, with the exception of a small bump that I caught while taking today's pictures Barely noticeable at this stage, and still easy to get rid of, but if I didn't catch it today, it'd probably grow into something I wished I killed before it hatched by tomorrow. TY SOS journals. I've been taking a break from makeup this week, although I'm still so addicted that I HAVE to use it on someone, even if it's not me, so my friends have been feeling my wrath this week. Keeping Up with Skincare Goals: So far, I've done a pretty good job with sticking to one routine and putting on SPF. Unfortunately, I'm starting to run low on my FAB pads and cleanser, plus its 2x skincare points so I'm VERY tempted to cheat on my current skincare products. The new Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer I purchased has SPF in it, so I'm covered everyday ^_^ Sadly, I've been neglecting my facials, cutting down on the oily foods (I blame the holidays), going to the sauna (I ran out of tickets!), and I can't stop rubbing my eyes (boring lectures make me sleepy D . I'm also going to start exercising (or attempt to) since I've gotta lose some weight to fit into any dress -_- Product Review: There's not much new stuff this week aside from the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer. I wouldn't really count that as skin care though. I don't feel like it's moisturizing enough on its own, so I do wear it on top of the Ultra Repair Cream. To be honest, I feel like this tinted moisturizer really wasn't worth the price. It offers no coverage and little moisture. The only thing I use it for is the SPF. Stuff I'm Getting (over time): Dear FAB, I apologize for being an adulterous being towards you, but I have a free spirit and a loving heart with lots of love to give, thus I must spread my wings and try other stuff from other brands too! You know there's always a place for you in my heart of hearts <3 I've had dandruff woes this month, and I'm out of my shampoo and conditioner, so I figured it was about time to try a different kind. I've put in a moisturizing mask, a blemish control mask, refill on the FAB pads (they grew on me :/), a toner (still not quite sure if I need it), a new makeup remover for when I'm on the go, a new facial cleanser, and all the hair crud. Shoot... That's a lot of money I guess I can do without the sponge, the hydrating mask, scalp treatment, and toner... or can I? Enable me please. Making Use of Rouge: I figure that I might as well break up my order into several orders so I can get more samples. So far, I feel like this is the only advantage Rouge has given me, but I'm feeling guilty just thinking about it... Do any of you do this?
Has anyone tried any of the Maskeraide masks? Not at sephora, but I have been eyeing these as [cheaper] alternatives to the masks I have been using. They have a variety (I believe 6 different) masks, and I was hoping to hear some feedback on them! Ps. For all my ladies and gents sitting in front of BT tonight, WOOO! Happy New Years everyone!
For those with moderate to severe acne, cut out (or down on) dairy products. Use an at-home mask with oatmeal, chocolate powder, honey and cottage cheese. For those with eczema: Take warm, short showers (not hot). Don't use wash clothes, they are too irritating. Moisturize immediately after the shower. Look for products with oatmeal, licorice extract and ceramides. Recommendation: Eucerin Eczema Relief. Happy New Year and I wish lovely skin for all of you!
I found an awesome website where I can get a particular brand of skin care that sephora doesn't carry...and monkey spit hot sauce at the same time! Hilarious ! Totally lovin it! (and my husband will too!! Hehe)
I just bought it & got it in the mail today - going to try it for the first time tonight. Apparently it's raved about like crazy and always sold out in the UK (thanks to Caroline Hirons). However, I haven't found many reviews on it besides one Pixiwoo one on Youtube and a on couple of blogs. I'd like to know what more people think about it.
Good afternoon lovely BT-ers! I was wondering if anybody who uses Alpha-H Liquid Gold would be willing to share their experience with it. I've never used a chemical exfoliant treatment before but one of my favorite beauty bloggers featured it as one of her favorites recently and I wanted to get some more opinions before I drop $62 on it (yikes)!
This is the first time I've used cold cream as a makeup remover (followed ole henriksen truth to go wipes). I am so surprised how soft my skin feels and radiant it looks - even in my oily t-zone. Anyone else use this method? Are there any other uses for it - got a huge tub of it?
I just bought my first peeling milk! I'm pretty sure it's meant to exfoliate the skin, but I found very little online about it. Still, I thought I'd give it a try. It's a creamy formula that is rubbed into the skin, then washed off. Your dead skin cells are supposed to come off with it. I just rubbed it on for 20 seconds, then washed. I think it's comparable to the Cure Aqua Gel, but I'm not really sure how to use peeling milks just yet. The brand I bought is called "Watson Green Tea Peeling Milk." It smells very fresh! Anyone have some experience with any peeling milks? I'd love to know if I'm actually using it properly!
my skin is red, uneven, and I have a few breakouts. I need clear, even skin by may 18th ( I have a formal and want good skin ) so please give me good drugstore skincare recommendations/routine so I can fix my skin. thank you so much! bye!
So I'm just slowly starting to use retinol things (retinyl palmitate mostly, baby steps), but I'm getting a lot of whiteheads on my chin. Granted, that's where I get oily and have some bumps, which could be under the skin whiteheads that the new products are bringing out, and it's only been 4 days....unless the products are the cause of the whiteheads. And it's only under the chin, nothing else. So, I was wondering whether anyone went througha purging phase with a product? where and for how long? Thanks!
I have been interested in the Koh Gen Do skincare products, so I have been perusing their website. I had some questions about their products and my skin concerns. I emailed their "Beauty Advisor" on the contact us portion of their website with my questions, and I requested some samples to address my skin concerns, I also gave them my mailing address in the email. I had a response the same day, saying that they would be happy to send out some samples, and they also suggested a skin care regime for me. 5 days later and BOOM, an envelope full of 13 different samples (some were doubles, but 13 items nonetheless). So if anyone out there is interested in their products, I suggest you do what I did and hopefully they will be as kind to you as they were to me! I tried to post a pic of the samples, but it wouldn't load
I have to say I am the worst when it comes to sensitive skin. But most recently my daughter recommended Nude Skincare. I started with their ProGenius Treatment Oil. So far my skin has not reacted its been about 6 days since I have started using the product. I actually really love it. Does anyone else have any thoughts about this product and brand since I am so new to it.
The other day I was in my local Sephora and my room mate and I came across Nude skincare. After testing some products and being introduced to this line by an associate, we were dying to try it. So she and I decided to buy the Cellular Renewal Moisturiser. I have say just implementing their moisturiser, my skin is radiant hydrated and feels just amazing, especially in this dry winter weather. I just wanted to put my feedback out there. If anyone was on the fence about investing into their skincare I say DO IT!! Two thumbs up! Love this stuff! I can't wait to start using the whole skincare line!
In the morning my skin around my eyes is dry and rough. Right now I use strivectin eye cream and also Shea Terra Argan Oil and Coffe Bean Oil. They help but really aren't soothing enough. Also I have little bumps that look like blocked pores. I have been to have facials with extractions, but the bumps remain. I really need a good cleanser. I use peeling pads by Phillosophy. But they haven!t helped. I hope someone can help. I am blind and have type1 diabetes. I have a caregiver during the day and a husband of forty years. My caregiver is great and does my hair and makeup energy day.
