Clinique's 3-Step System: Good, Bad, or Ugly?
Through the years, I've gone on & off Clinique's 3-Step skin care.  While I love the price point, I wonder if it truly is beneficial.  I've heard and experienced so much as far as using alcohol-free toners, yet almost all of Clinique's have alcohol in them.  I've heard that oily skinned folks need to stay away from foaming cleansers because they strip the skin and cause the perfect setting for bacteria to grow.  And, of course, oily people are always trying to use only oil-free products.   Tell me, if you have gone back on their 3-Step, if you're currently using it for more than 6 months, or if you left it altogether.  And why, please.   BIG appreciation!

Why do we use our ring finger to apply eye cream?
I've heard the myth that our ring finger is the weakest, so using it on the delicate skin around our eyes is best. But it's just that.. A myth. Our ring fingers are considered the weakest, but really, the range of motion in certain activities is different from other fingers. The ring finger is just as likely to cause damage if used improperly as the pointer finger is to not cause damage if you apply a feather-light touch.   So, my question is.. Why use it? Is it just comfortable now, since it's out of habit? Do you use a different finger or another method of applying eye cream?

Thinking of returning my Clarisonic... Thoughts?
Is the Clarisonic terrible? No. Absolutely not. In fact, I do enjoy using it. Did it make me break out? No. Did it take away the dry skin that I wanted gone? Yes. (However, so did my light exfoliator scrub before that.) Did it make me feel smooth? Yes! Is it fun? Absolutely.   BUT...   A week ago I had to exchange my Clarisonic due to the body brush stopping mid cycle, wether it was low in charge or charged. The girls at Sephora were great, got it exchanged, no problems! (I truly love Sephore, all the super nice and helpful workers, and the customer service!! :] ) Yet, it's still doing it. I charged it for 24 hours before using it first. I don't drop it. I keep it clean. But the body brush just doesn't seem to like me. Now I know, easy fix, just charge it all the time. Fine. Doesn't seem hard... but for $200? Yeah, no.   The biggest reason I think I am going to return is because I noticed fine red lines that upon searching are called Capilliers? I've NEVER had these pop up, and now from reading I understand only lasor surgery can treat them? What? I didn't press down with the Clarisonic, barely feeling a tickle.   I'm really at a hard place, because I want to love it, but I am afraid to cause permanent damage. I have very sensitive skin, this also being proven by the array of cleaning  products that I have bought and returned.   Anyone else have any of the same or comparable experiences with the Clarisonic?

What's your post Winter skin routine
I'm slowly transitioning out my winter products to get ready for Summer & am wondering what everyone else's routine is. I've completely stopped using La Mer and a cream cleanser. I've never had a big issue with oil, but lately it seems like my forehead is a little oilier than normal. Could it be age, I'm turning 30 next month. But overall I tend to be slightly dry, with hormonal breakouts on the chin, redness around nose, with milia and whiteheads on my cheeks (they will never go away, I've accepted that). I got a bunch of samples of the Korres Wild Rose + Vitamin C Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial for my night time moisturizer & will be coming up the the "14 day trial" on Thursday. I'm thinking of purchasing it, but am open to other suggestions. I also want to stop using retinol, my skin is too sun sensitive to use it in the Summer, no matter how much SPF I use I always feel like I'm burning. Thoughts on Perricone's blue plasma?  http://www.sephora.com/blue-plasma-P377324 I'm looking for something to help with the redness, acne, wrinkle prevention & post acne scars. I wear more makeup on the weekends when going out, then during the week, so I don't like to use a treatment Friday - Sunday to let my skin breath a bit.  I have a ton of OH deluxe sample size & full size that I got for free during their cyber monday & F&F sales. Some other products I own, but don't have in rotation are the nurture me moisturizer, vitamin plus and the pure perfection moisturizer (it's too strong to use with my treatments). just finished off sheer transformation.   Here's my routine from the past few weeks: Monday AM - Wash with AmorePacific Treatment Enzyme Peel - Treat with OH Truth Serum - SPF/Moisturize with PTR Retinol Fusion AM Monday PM: - Wash with OH On the go cleanser - Tone with OH pick me up tonic - Treat with PTR retinol fusion PM - Moisturize with Korres sleeping facial Tuesday AM - Wash with AmorePacific Treatment Enzyme Peel - Treat with OH Truth Serum - SPF/Moisturize with PTR Retinol Fusion AM Tuesday PM - Wash with OH On the go cleanser - Tone with OH pick me up tonic - Treat with OH invigorating night gel - Moisturize with Korres sleeping facial Wednesday AM   - Wash with AmorePacific Treatment Enzyme Peel - Treat with OH Truth Serum - SPF/Moisturize with PTR Retinol Fusion AM Wednesday PM - Wash with OH aloe vera deep cleanser with the clarsonic sensitive brush head  - Tone with OH pick me up tonic - Treat with PTR retinol fusion PM - Moisturize with Korres sleeping facial Thursday AM - Wash with AmorePacific Treatment Enzyme Peel - Treat with OH Truth Serum - SPF/Moisturize with PTR Retinol Fusion AM Thursday evening... Keratosis Pilaris - or - "Chicken SKin"
I have Normal combination skin, which is ok I guesss, however since about sixth grade I remember having dry bumpy patches completely covering my legs that are non itchy, though very noticable all just centameters apart from each other I think after talking to a friend the other day whom has a sibling with something similar said it was something called chicken skin also known as Keratosis Pilaris. after browsing the internet and doing a little research of my own I think that I do have the "Condition of  Keratosis Pilaris on my legs" now the problem is finding a good effective product in the form of a moisturizer or wash that works for making htis go away or at the very least minimize it. Does anyone  know what is the most effective product @ Sephora for treating this condition?? it would be immensely helpful because I haven't worn anything close to shorts since i was about thirteen as I got teased about it...now I'm twenty six years old & I am still afraid to wear shorts or skirts without leggings or darker tights. someone please h,elp!!! To Clarisonic or not Clarisonic, That is my question!
Lately I have been feeling like my skin doesn't look as great as it used to. I'm switching up my skin care routine, and I was considering purchasing a Clarisonic Mia or Mia2. I have read all about what they do, and I have watched plenty reviews about them (mostly good, a couple bad). I'm just afraid of dishing out that much money and not liking it! So I thought I would bring it  to the beauty experts and see what everyone else thinks of theirs.   Which one do you prefer the mia, mia2, or the plus? How long have you been using yours? What are your favorite products to use with it? And the big question, In your opinion do you think it's worth the money?   I will be saving up for this (so I don't feel as bad spending a bunch of money on one beauty product. Ha.)! I would love to hear what everyone has to say, and a big thank you in advance! ( :

How long do you take to shower?
So there's lots of articles saying things like, oh, you should not stay in the shower for more than 10-15min. I don't understand how you can wash everything in 10-15min cuz, honestly, skincare alone take ~10min, so does the hair, and the body (5 min to rub things on 5 min to rinse things off thoroughly). I'm physically incapable of taking less than 30min shower unless I skip washing something (and usually it's 40min). How long does it take for you to shower? Any time saving tips? o.O

How does your skin purge when new products are introduced?
So I'm just slowly starting to use retinol things (retinyl palmitate mostly, baby steps), but I'm getting a lot of whiteheads on my chin. Granted, that's where I get oily and have some bumps, which could be under the skin whiteheads that the new products are bringing out, and it's only been 4 days....unless the products are the cause of the whiteheads. And it's only under the chin, nothing else.   So, I was wondering whether anyone went througha purging phase with a product? where and for how long?   Thanks!

Overnight Restorative Cream
Hello. I am in my early twenties and am healing from acne. I use clindamycin pads along with tretinoin 0.5% cream during the night time. I currently got a sample of the Algenist Overnight Restorative Cream with Algornic Acid & it works amazingly with my skin. On that note, I also use the Clinique Dark Spot Corrector before applying my tretinoin cream to help heal the dark spots faster followed by the sample I recieved for the Algenist Overnight Cream. Unfortunately, the overnight cream is $ 90.00!  Which is a bit too much. Are there any other overnight  creams out there that will give me the same results? The cream makes me wake up to soft skin with fewer acne marks and my scars have been reduced  immensely since I have began using it! Help please!

Deciphering skin type??
Hello,   I have a question about finding out what type of skin I have. Recently I have been very confused as to what my skin actually is...   I am 25 years old (for starters). I have acne around my jaw line primarily and sometimes I'll get a random zit up higher but it's not too often that happens. The jaw breakouts do not go away at all. They'll start to heal, but then more pop up. It's not ALL along my jaw, either, it's just the middle of my jaw on each side.   I thought acne was the result of too much oil production, but now I think it's diet related as nothing seems to be helping my acne (I've tried ProActive, Clean & Clear, Dermalogica, etc etc and am now on Boscia which I do like because it seems gentle but alas, it doesn't clear my skin. So, I've decided that it was time to not focus so much on acne clearing products because they make my skin feel so horribly dry and itchy and just start treating it as to the type of skin I actually have.   I used to think my skin was oily, but recently I have been re-evaluating this. It's not that bad! When I leave my skin alone with no makeup on it, it feels a little greasy but nothing unbearable. BUT! it feels weird, like a bit tight and sometimes itchy?   Is it possible to have "dehydrated" skin and still be a bit on the oily side? What products would be best for dehydrated oily skin? Some days my skin still feels a bit on the dryer side but that could also be from the weather as Florida winter is known for blasting its residents with cold weather and then boom, hot weather for a week before jumping back into a cold snap.   This probably doesn't make much sense but I honestly do not know what skin type I have! I've just been trying to treat it the best I can and not use too many heavy products on it because then I notice a film type of texture to my skin which I absolutely hate!   If you've read this far, any input would be greatly appreciated and many thank yous!!

Koh Gen Do Skincare and Samples
I have been interested in the Koh Gen Do skincare products, so I have been perusing their website.  I had some questions about their products and my skin concerns.  I emailed their "Beauty Advisor" on the contact us portion of their website with my questions, and I requested some samples to address my skin concerns, I also gave them my mailing address in the email.  I had a response the same day, saying that they would be happy to send out some samples, and they also suggested a skin care regime for me.  5 days later and BOOM, an envelope full of 13 different samples (some were doubles, but 13 items nonetheless).  So if anyone out there is interested in their products, I suggest you do what I did and hopefully they will be as kind to you as they were to me! I tried to post a pic of the samples, but it wouldn't load

Problems with eye cream...
Has anybody experienced any problems with their eye cream? I ask this because for the past 3 weeks I've been using my first ever eye cream for prevention further down the road and it seems like it has been making my eye area look worse! I have puffiness with a slightly red ring around my orbital bone in the mornings when I apply at night. I don't apply more in the mornings because I'm afraid it will just get worse throughout my entire day. It only lasts a couple of hours every morning, but still...it bothers me that a product is doing the opposite of that it should. I was pretty careful in my choices of picking an eye cream, I have a sensitive eye region and went with Boscia Enlivening Amino-AG Eye Treatment since I didn't want to risk the "burn" of retinol. Is this just a purge period or should I switch eye creams?

Q. Make products last. Fridge or no fridge?
I like to "stock up" on skincare products, samples and perfumes. However, my apartment doesn't have AC and can get to be ~80-90 degrees during the day---which is fine for my powder make up, but wouldn't too hot temperature make moisturizers or perfume spoil since they always say to store them in a "dry and cool place"? I can store them in the fridge, but fridge is ~40 degrees, and I'm not sure if very low temperature is bad for them, too? especially perfumes and serums that have lots of vitamins and special ingredients?   What are your thoughts? I know things can go bad when temperature is too high (how high is too high?), but have your skincare, make up or perfume ever went bad because it's too cold or being stored in the fridge?
