Daily Skincare - what are you using?

Often people ask for recommendations on a skincare routine or for specific products/combinations.  This might be a place to share your everyday skincare, both AM and PM.  A skincare "what are you wearing" as it were.  Hope this is useful.

*Age - 40

Skin type - oily/combination

Current skin condition - quite dehydrated (winter/indoor heating)*

01/17/16 - AM skincare in the order I used

1. Nude Jelly cleanser (love)

2. Pixi Glow tonic (5% glycolic toner - love)

3. Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Spritz (sample)

4. Radical Skincare Youth Infusion serum - hydrating and anti-ageing (new to me.  Testing)

5. Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream (like)

6. Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine cream (really like as an AM moisturizer)

I will try to post PM skincare tonight so the post can be comprehensive.

General comments - Okay skin.  Apparently the age between 38-42 is a transformational time in hormones (dehydrated skin/spots), so I am more aware of how my skin performs/reacts .  My skincare definitely has more "actives" now than before.

Re: Daily Skincare - what are you using?

I just got home after a few days of debauchery - rated S (for sourdough).

1. Cleanse - Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm

2. May Lindstrom Problem Solver - do the whole mask thing

3. FAB Radiance pads (gentle enough that I am okay using after PS today...I need it).

4. Caudalie Grape water spritz

5. May Lindstrom Blue Cocoon

6. May Lindstrom Youth Dew

7. DDG Retinol+Ferulic Eye cream

8. Aurelia Cell Repair Night Oil

Pray for me.

Re: Daily Skincare - what are you using?

I love skin care and science, so I have combined both passions over the years to perfect my skin care routine and cut out harmful drying/sensitizing ingredients.

My skin used to be very dry and red (on cheeks and chin) but now has calmed down so much I can skip moisturizing a lot of times.

AM routine day 1.

1 oil cleanse. DHC's Cleansing Oil

2 foaming cleanse. DHC's Cleansing Milk

3 toner. DECIEM Hylamide's Hydra-Density Mist

4 serum. Drunk Elephant's C-Firma™ Day Serum

5. sunscreen. Drunk Elephant's Umbra Sheer Physical Defense SPF 30

**If I am short on time I will skip step 1 and 3.

AM routine day 2.

Same except different serum: DECIEM The Ordinary's “Buffet” peptide serum

PM routine day 1.

1 oil cleanse. DHC's Cleansing Oil

2 foaming cleanse. DHC's Cleansing Milk

3 toner. DECIEM Hylamide's Hydra-Density Mist

4 aha/bha exfoliant. Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos™ Glycolic Night Serum

5 serum. First Aid Beauty's Ultra Repair® Hydrating Serum

6 moisturizer. Drunk Elephant's Lala Retro™ Whipped Cream

PM routine day 2.

Same except different aha/bha exfoliant and serum: 4 aha/bha exfoliant. Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant

5 serum. DECIEM The Ordinary's Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% blemish formula

Once a week I switch out a PM serum for DECIEM The Ordinary's Advanced Retinoid 2%.

It might seem long and complicated, but it doesn't actually take me very long to do my routine (less than 30 minutes usually).

PS. I am always open to suggesting and helping people with their routines, if anyone is interested! It is a fun hobby of mine to curate skin care products for friends & family haha.

Re: Daily Skincare - what are you using?

I could totally use help!! I wanted to improve skin care regimen and ended up with a horrible reaction over 2 weeks ago so my face is still healing. It looks fine and doesnt burn or anything like that now but it is just sooooo dry!!! I'm always dry but since this happened i just cant seem to get enough moisture. I have very sensitive skin but the only allergy that I am aware of is Rose. I have occasional breakouts but nothing too bad, red cheeks and nose, and more bumps/ texture than I'd like. For now I am cleansing with cerave hydrating cleanser. Ive tried coconut oil, avacado oil(best luck w this), argan oil, FAB ultra repair moisturizer, skin fix serum and lotion, cerave spf 30 daily facial lotion(irritated my skin so I had to wash off), new cerave eczema creamy oil( feels great but ends up feeling dry), I even tried puting the cerave moisturizing cream on my face. Again it felt great but the feeling didnt last long before my face just felt tight and dry :(. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Re: Daily Skincare - what are you using?

Happy 2017!

I arrived on the west coast this afternoon for a short getaway with my girlfriend.  This is my travel skincare for the next 3 days.

1. Cleanser - Oskia Renaisaance Cleansing Gel.

This works as both AM or PM cleanse for me.  It is a gel that when massaged turns oily.  I wear light makeup, so this works just fine.

2. Pixi Glow tonic (for a mild exfoliation)

3. DDG Extra strength pads (for a bit more exfoliation)

4.  Hylamide SubQ serum - for boosting daytime hydration

5. Darphin Retexturizing moisturiser - daytime moisturser

6. Skinowl Mangosteen Beauty drops - PM face oil

7.  Tata Harper Restorative Eye cream - eye cream for both AM and PM.

Wish you all a great skin year!

Re: Daily Skincare - what are you using?

Gossh your skin is gorgeous! You look so flawless! Skincare goals!

Re: Daily Skincare - what are you using?

My skincare routine is pretty simple. I'm 23, have oily skin normally but oily/combo in winter.

AM: Ole Henriksen African Red Tea foaming cleanser, used with my Foreo Luna Mini 2. Twice a week I use Lush's Ocean Salt to exfoliate in the mornings. I then moisturize with Olay Complete All Day Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15 for oily/combination skin

PM: Usually I will just remove my makeup with my Makeup Eraser and moisturize with the same moisturizer mentioned above. Every few nights I will use Lush's Cup O' Coffee face mask, or sheet masks. I just bought a set of Dr. Jart's sheet masks and I'm so excited to try them!

Re: Daily Skincare - what are you using?

20, very dry skin (especially in this cold winter)

In the morning I only ever wash my face with water, but in the evening I have a routine I stick to:

upload_5995390856184192991.jpg

Night Routine

1. Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Deep Dive Cleansing Gel

2. Lush Breath of Fresh Air Toner

3. Innisfree Green Tea Moisture Essence (just picked this up and I am loving it! smells soooo nice and is doing wonders for my dry skin)

4. Nivea Rich Moisturizing Day Care (a little funny that I'm using the day one for nighttime lol but it works)

Re: Daily Skincare - what are you using?

I love that Tarte cleansing gel! I need to buy it in full size. It always made my skin feel so silky smooth afterwards.

Re: Daily Skincare - what are you using?

How do you like the Lush Breath of Fresh Air Toner?  Would you recommend?  Anything you can compare it to?

Re: Daily Skincare - what are you using?

Between holiday foods, little sleep, lots of makeup wearing, and getting sick my skin has been sad.

AM:

water rinse

PTR 24K sheet mask

SR good genes

shisedo power infusing concentrate on big 6 areas

Orgins eye cream

Dr. Jart tiger grass cream

I have been home doing nothing but netflix, puzzles, and reading since Monday night which has been glorious. The couple errands I did do I wore minimal makeup (BB cream and eyebrows) and have been alternating moisture and brightening masks all week. Eating good, sleep and lots of skin love have me doing much better. I'll probably re-fight this battle next week after a 36 hour shift this weekend, new years is usually busy for us.

Re: Daily Skincare - what are you using?

23, normal skin

Stayed at home the whole day; no make up.

PM 12/29/16

TPRoth Strawberry Scrub

Son&Park Beauty Water

May Coop Raw Sauce

La Mer Eye Concentrate

Sunday Riley Luna Oil

Kiehls Ultra Facial Cream

Re: Daily Skincare - what are you using?

2. Jan Marini Clean Zyme Cleanser

Acne-prone skin. Oily. Just got laser treatment and PRP microneedling radiofrequency therapy for scarring.

Re: Daily Skincare - what are you using?

@aydasuI am looking forward to hearing the update of the laser treatment and PRP microneedling radiofrequency therapy!

Re: Daily Skincare - what are you using?

So far so good. My skin should produce collagen in the months to come 🙂 I will update as I see more and more progress! I also had fillings for my scars and they are more shallow by 50% or so so far. I might need a couple more treatments in the years to come but it is all good.
