I know that Sephora markets their "love" list as a place to save products your actually love AND products you want to try and send to people as a wish list. I hate this! I am partially posting just to get some validation that I am not the only one who feels like this!! There are several flaws with this system: 1) This artificially inflates the popularity of a product when you are considering purchasing. It makes it seems like products that are talked about a lot are highly loved - when in reality it could just be that a bunch of people want to try it. If they separated loves and wish list we could see who wants to try versus who bought and really loves. This would help the products because it would make what I want to buy again more clear but would also help consumers because we would trust the "loves" more to where they might actually sway my opinion on whether to buy. Right now, when I see a highly loved product it's a worthless number. Having 330k loves means nothing when I don't know if people really love it or if they are just interested in trying it. 2) It makes it IMPOSSIBLE to differentiate what I have bought and liked versus what I want to try. When you buy as much makeup as I do you forget what worked and what didn't sometimes. The section that keeps track of my purchases doesn't help either because it includes samples which clutter and confuse the list. I want a clean, self curated list for when I try a product and liked it so much I want to repurchase when I run out (loves) versus things I am interested in and want to buy (wish list). I find myself scrolling through my loves constantly asking myself "Did I try and like that? Why is it here?" 3) Last, but not least, I cannot SEND a wishlist to my family that includes things I have!! If my birthday is coming up and I want makeup, I can't use this feature on Sephora because right now my loves and interests are mixed. I may have added the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea foundation to my loves when I tried it and decided I wanted to repurchase. Now, if I send the list to my family they might accidentally repurchase for me the basically full foundation I already own. When in reality, if I send them a wish list I want them to get a list of products I want but DON'T HAVE! The solution to this currently is to not "love" products that I already own but want to repurchase, however that is a poor solution for brands because in five months when I finish the Tarte foundation if I don't repurchase right away (which I won't because I will have eight other foundations to finish) I will forget about it. This mixed wish-list/repurchase list doesn't work as either! Both functions suffer as the result of being mixed with other. I don't see why I can't have a "love" list and a "wish" list.
Hello. I see that the Tarte Make Believe brush sets have been available on Sephora Canada for a few days now, but the rest of the collection isn't available (like the eye & cheek palette). It's been out for the USA site for a while now. When is it going to be available online for Canada? Thanks.
so I've been on the hunt for moisturizers without silicone(anything ending with -cone or -oxane) in it and there's no option to be able to search that specific. I have to go through hundreds of items and look through ingredients tab (if provided) to know if one does/doesn't contain certain ingredients. It's really time consuming! not to mention quite a lot doesn't have ingredients list, and nowhere to find on the internet, like some dior products (don't know what the deal is). I like to know what I put on my face and it could prevent people from buying products with ingredients that they might be sensitive/allergic to. same for hair products and makeup. so please add silicone-free option to the 'ingredient preferences' list. I think it is really important. As well as pretrolatum/petrochemical/mineral oil-free. Also please add more breakdown into moisturizers consistency/formulation/type. I saw oils, gel, lotion, cream, balm, etc all in 1 but there's no way to narrow it down to a specific consistency I want to find. I hope someone who deals with the site read this and will be able to implement it soon enough.
I would love if we would be able to create folders on our loves list to further organize. We could create multiple folders and name them whatever we wanted, that would be so useful and I'm completely sure others would agree!
I just signed up to be a part of this community after 10 yrs of being a Sephora customer, & my very first post is a complaint about how AWFUL the new Sephora website is!!! When are they gonna get this squared away?!?!! It's been at least a week already! Grrrrrrrrr
I loved that Sephora had a drop down menu of all the brands they carry. I used to be able to select a brand and see all the products available. Why was that feature taken off the website?!?! Sometimes I end up finding (and buying) new products based on those searches because I like a particular brand so I want to see what else they offer and find great new products that I fall in love with. BRING THE BRAND SEARCH FEATURE BACK!!!!!!! Seriously!

Hi, I'm trying to order Nars Pop Life Velvet Matte Lip Pencil. It seems to be permanent, and HBC here in Canada sells it, but it's not listed on the Velvet Matte page on the Canadian Sephora site. Is this not being sold on the Canadian Sephora site? Thanks!

Does Sephora do their 15-20% for VIB Rouge members in March? I am trying to remember what months they do those special discounts. I think I remember one last November but cannot remember when the other month is... Anyone else know?
Thanks that's really sweet of you. I just want what I've asked for. Sephora is the only beauty company I have dealt with that is 100% unable to send me the samples I ask for. Today, I opened 2 more Sephora boxes and both had all 3 samples wrong and I immediately logged in and of course there they are, the samples I asked for, in living color, still in stock. I called the rouge line and once again was told that my distribution center doesn't carry the samples listed on the website. I consider this fraud. Your site should connect me to the samples available at my distribution center. It's simple if you want it to be and care about your customers. Also, if anyone has noticed, Sephora has stopped listing the samples you ask for on the invoice. Is this so you can get away with sending me crap that I didn't ask for and don't want? You are the only beauty co I have ordered from that doesn't send me the samples I ask for I can not for the life of me understand why you can't get it together and get it right. I live 30 miles from a "D" level store so going there is pointless which is why I order online and often only place an order for the promo and samples. The woman on the rouge line says you weren't bought out by another company so why has your service gone so far downhill? I'm just going to start returning orders that don't contain the correct samples if I log on and see they aren't out of stock because your website says subs will be made if out of stock so if you aren't out of it I'm simply going to start returning the orders and placing them with different companies that send correct samples. Maybe if I return enough orders you guys will do something to ensure I get the correct samples.

I was browsing the Sephora site and I don't know what happened, but suddenly I have a Canadian flag near my basket and I don't know how to get rid of it. I don't live in Canada and I'm not shipping to Canada, but the website insists that I'm in Canada. How can I change this?
