The Shopping List

[ Edited ]

It would be awesome if you could have a few different categories in the shopping list so you could organize the products. I use it as a remembering feature when I find stuff online, but some things are more of a "save up to purchase", while others are a "next time consider buying this!", and even others I save just to remember that they might be a "good gift for a friend".

Once I go and look at it though, they're all in there just mixed up together.

(Or even be able to add a tag to them so I remember why I added certian items...like buy again, or just thinking about them...)

What do you think?

Similarly, I would like to sort my shopping list by item type (lipstick, eyeliner. etc) so I can more easily review the options I am considering.

It seems like customers are interested in sorting their shopping lists by different criteria, so a general tagging functionality or drag-and-drop system would be very useful!

I love the idea of sorting by type!!!! That way I could compare brushes, makeup, skincare all at once!

Re: The Shopping List

I definitely agree -- I would like to keep my lists organized even into two sections: Staples/Favorites, for products I know and love (and of which I need refills) and To Try/Buy.

I second the idea, only having one category of shopping list makes it hard to organize. Seems like a mini-spreadsheet format with one column for the product, one column for immediate use/or priority, one column for archive info (stuff that you like and want to reorder, that way you don't have to go rummaging in your stash to find the bottle and look up the exact name or shade- so aggravating!), last column for items you are saving up for or hints for gifts.

The archive function would be most helpful to me, since sometimes the label is pretty abraded and it's hard to remember what shade or color something is, but would be recognizable if I had it in my shopping list. I just can't get it together to catalog all the shades/colors of things.

This would be such a help, then I wouldn't have to scroll up and down the list to find what I want to order at any given time.
