PLAY! by SEPHORA has some exciting news to share with you. Starting in May 2016, we’re expanding PLAY! to the lower 48 states and giving our PLAY! boxes a makeover!
For those of you already on the waitlist as of April 8th, 2016, we will be sending out invitations in waves until all available spots are filled. Invitations will be sent based on when you joined the waitlist. Spots are still limited, so please act quickly if you receive an invitation. As a reminder, when you receive your invitation to join, be sure to enter the same email address used to join the waitlist. If you don’t receive an invitation this time around, or you joined the waitlist after April 8th – don’t worry! As more spots open up each month, we’ll continue to send out invitations on a rolling, first come, first served basis.
If you would like to join the waitlist, please enter your email by visiting www.sephora.com/play. You will be included in future months’ invitations.
A: The first wave of invitations for signup will be sent during mid-April 2016. They will continue to be sent out in monthly increments as the program grows.
A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is currently only available in the U.S. and can ship to any address in the contiguous 48 states.
A: Box quantities are limited each month. If you are invited to subscribe to PLAY! by SEPHORA, please redeem your invitation and claim your spot as soon as possible so that you don’t miss out on that month’s box.
A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is not currently available in Canada; however, we will keep you posted on any plans for expansion.
Q: I am a US resident and do not live in one of the contiguous 48 states. When will PLAY! be available to me?
A: We are currently exploring ways to expand our shipping capabilities to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and US Military Bases. We'll be notifying clients as soon as we have an update and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

Seriously Sephora? You knew there were no boxes left BEFORE you sent my invitation on the 22nd, yet you continued to send invites, based on the comments here, well after the 22nd. You were aware of complaints at least by 4/21 but clearly did nothing to rectify it. The mods here don't even try to address the problem, they have stopped posting the same lame, non apology "sign up for the waitlist AGAIN and thanks for your patience". No explanation as to how this happened and apparently is continuing to happen. Hello, does anyone at Sephora know what they are doing?
The whole thing is super sketch, why should we go to the bottom of the list because of your error? Or is Sephora rebuilding the email database so they can sell our emails to another company? It simply does not make sense that these emails continue to out go and people have to send their email address again.

I am having the same issue but they me loses on Saturdays and I really hope I receive an invitation again because it's unfair if our invitation says we still have time to buy one.
I went out of my way to call Sephora customer care service because I knew an email wasn't going to be sufficient in this case. I see that so many other people are having the same problem I'm having. Frustrated by this issue, their response was that they have their IT department trying to fix the link as soon as possible and that when its fixed they will send EVERYONE who was sent an email a NEW one with the correct link in which you will be able to subscribe. I was concerned about loosing my spot due to the countdown to subscribe so I asked the guy again if I would receive another email, not because I was put back on the waitlist but because I have already received an email and they FAILED to have the correct link with the email they keep sending everyone. He assured me EVERYONE will get a new email with the correct link and it should be ok from there. Lets see how long this takes.

Thanks for the info. I came back looking for customer service contacts to email/call for myself. Hopefully Sephora will do what they told you they were going to do. Wait and see.......
I don't want to say I'm glad I'm not the only one having this problem, I'm actually really pi$$ed!
Sephora lies and False Advertises there is no other way to look at this...same thing happened to me as everyone else on this thread! They don't care at all about customer service otherwise they wouldn't lie, spend your money at Ulta, Nordstrom, Dillard's, Macy's pretty much everything Sephora sells is available elsewhere! I am shocked that they would do this, if you have 100 people on your wait list and you have 100 products available send out those 100 invites, then move on to the next group, its not rocket science, unless of course they actually could care less about their customers!
Sephora lies and False Advertises! I've been on their wait list for months, I got an invite with a certain amount of time for me to respond and sign up. I tried and all it did was allow me to sign up for the wait list again! I called and their rep admitted they lied and false advertised, I thought it must have been a mistake! He said they sent out way more invites then they could handle. I asked if I go to the bottom since I had to re sign up? He just kept telling me that I would get an invite later so who knows? I sent Sephora a bunch of e mails, this is some BS...seriously!
I was so excited to get my invite to (finally) join Play! But when I went to subscribe, the website told me I had to join the wait-list again. Not gonna lie... I almost don't want it anymore. So frustrating...

Same , I got my email saying I am off the wait list . But now I am back on ? I responded way before the invite was to expire

But why? Why did they send out so many emails without that many spots available? I am so disappointed. I tried to redeem the email right after I received it and still I was put back on the wait list. I am a VIB and I still got the shaft. It makes everyone feel like Sephora doesn't care that they are treating us poorly.
Looks like I'm having the same problem as others. I received an invite to join, enter my email, put back on the waiting list. What gives???
Ok Sephora so how are you going to rectify all of our complaints about receiving an invite to join, only to be put back on the wait list??? Very unprofessional that you have not responded to any of our complaints. I clicked on my invite just to receive the message that I will be placed BACK ON THE WAIT LIST!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS. Your website says all who received an invite would be given a subscription if accepted before the 15 day window expired. Obviously that's not happening. So what gives?? Very disappointed with your company.

I was beyond thrilled to receive my invitation to join Play and told my husband this is what I want for Mothers Day. Only to try and join then be put BACK on the waiting list!!! If Sephora is only going to give you a limited amount of time to join, then that time limit needs to be correct in the email. Don't lie and say we have 15 days then rescind the offer!!! Birchbox will be getting my money again after this letdown.
