PLAY! by SEPHORA has some exciting news to share with you. Starting in May 2016, we’re expanding PLAY! to the lower 48 states and giving our PLAY! boxes a makeover!

For those of you already on the waitlist as of April 8^th, 2016, we will be sending out invitations in waves until all available spots are filled. Invitations will be sent based on when you joined the waitlist. Spots are still limited, so please act quickly if you receive an invitation. As a reminder, when you receive your invitation to join, be sure to enter the same email address used to join the waitlist. If you don’t receive an invitation this time around, or you joined the waitlist after April 8th – don’t worry! As more spots open up each month, we’ll continue to send out invitations on a rolling, first come, first served basis.

If you would like to join the waitlist, please enter your email by visiting www.sephora.com/play. You will be included in future months’ invitations.

Q: When will invites be sent out to people who are on the waitlist?

A: The first wave of invitations for signup will be sent during mid-April 2016. They will continue to be sent out in monthly increments as the program grows.

Q: Where does PLAY! by SEPHORA ship?

A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is currently only available in the U.S. and can ship to any address in the contiguous 48 states.

Q: If I do get an invite, am I guaranteed a box?

A: Box quantities are limited each month. If you are invited to subscribe to PLAY! by SEPHORA, please redeem your invitation and claim your spot as soon as possible so that you don’t miss out on that month’s box.

Q: Will Canadians have an opportunity to subscribe?

A: PLAY! by SEPHORA is not currently available in Canada; however, we will keep you posted on any plans for expansion.

Q: I am a US resident and do not live in one of the contiguous 48 states. When will PLAY! be available to me?

A: We are currently exploring ways to expand our shipping capabilities to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and US Military Bases. We'll be notifying clients as soon as we have an update and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

Hi please read the top of the thread, or some part of this thread before posting please. This question has been answered multiple times. It has to do with where you are located, and even then not everyone who was located within those test areas were picked.

Q: Where is this being offered?
A: The limited release markets for the initial months are Boston and Cincinnati / Columbus. We may be adding additional limited markets later in 2015, before the full national launch in 2016.

Q: Why Limited markets?
A: As with many of our programs, we roll them out over time in order to best ensure that everything happens as we planned and that our clients have an excellent experience. Our goal is to prepare for a national launch in 2016.

Q: If I live in one of the limited release markets, will I automatically get an invitation? What about if I signed up on the waitlist?
A: Because the quantity of boxes available during the initial release are limited, not all clients in the test markets will receive an invitation. However, as we grow the quantity of boxes available each month, more clients will have an opportunity to sign up.

There is a waitlist for the reasons already given. Also there are thousands of Rouges, if something is limited in release, it normally means that there aren't thousands available.

Nope, seems like you have to have a CC as an option because it is rebillable.

I have been a VIB and loyal customer for years. With that said, there should have been a criteria for the invitations with VIB at the top of the list. I believe others have received invitations in my area of the country. Bad move Sephora....

Hi Glamat!  I posted on here a week ago (maybe a little longer) wondering how to get an invite because I saw other girls in my area received theirs and this morning I got my invite!!  I'm not sure if it would have happened at the same time either way, but I was on the waiting list since I heard about Play with no invite.  If others in your area are getting invites, you might not be too far behind!!

Were you on the waitlist? I don't see where you posted if you were or not. And if they were going to be using that criteria, you would think that it would be rouge at the top of list, the VIB. But i am not sure that it went that way at all. My SA did tell me that at this point it was only rolled out to rouge clients in select cities. But lets get real, we know more than they do so I am not sure if this is right or not. If you are on the waitlist, then you should get an invite at some point. And if not, then you should add yourself to the waitlist that way you are eligbile for an invite when they do start to send them out again!

But there are hundreds of thousands of Rouge customers and even more VIB ones...I don't think they have enough products during the beta trial to go around.  Though it's a nice idea, it just doesn't seem realistic to me I guess.   

I wanted in too...but oh well; it is what it is and I'll join next year when it's open to everyone.  Let's be happy for those that did get in 🙂

I wish the VIB program would have been considered as criteria for invitations. Seems a little disingenuous to cultivate a frequent shopper's club and then overlook them with an initiative such as this one.

I believe it was only certain areas of the country included regardless of VIB or Rouge status

I'm really excited about this!  I've been wishing Sephora would do a monthly beauty box subscription, and here it is!  Like most of you outside the test markets, I can't wait until we can subscribe!  My daughter and I both love Sephora, and this will be great to get each month!  Plus you can earn Beauty Insider points with your subscription and earn bonus points when you make in-store purchases using your Play Pass!  How awesome is that?!

My box arrived yesterday!  It was really fun to receive and I love the idea of getting a nice surprise with deluxe-size samples to try every month.

How to they decide who to invite? I added my name to the wait list a while ago and I've been seeing a bunch of girls in Texas and specifically in Austin (where I am) get invites. Should I add my name to the wait list again?

I got mine 😄 I'm still really excited I even got to sign up. Southeast Texas is pretty far outside the "test market" areas.

I will say, though, that I already own the Elizabeth and James White larger rollerball from the point perks, and the Sephora Peony from another promotion. I've also gotten the Glam Glow face wash and the BB Invisible Oil Primer in other beauty subscription boxes. I'm still excited to have more samples that I love and really excited to try the MJ liner and the eye cream.

I'm so jealous you have the MJ blacquer. I finally snagged one when it went back into stock as a 100pt perk...but it melted in transit and is sold out again 😞
