Clarisonic Vs. Olay Pro X
I'm currently using the Olay Pro X face cleansing brush because it was only $15 on sale. I've wanted a Clarisonic for the longest time but can't settle on one. I've been on the edge of getting one for months. But I also don't want to buy one and it be the same quality as my Olay.   Is the Clarisonic better than the Olay? Is it worth the splurge? /.\ I can't decide and I've done so much research over the last few months!

Twice bleached platinum blonde hair and am now lost in a sea of products.
I have read every article on how to treat, shampoo, condition, etc.. bleached platinum blonde hair and am now lost in a sea of products. I have processed my short hair twice in the last 4 or 5 months. While I am lucky that my hair is fairly healthy, it is obvious that the ends of my hair have weakened (I notice tiny white/blonde hairs on my shirt after I blow dry and style). So there is definite breakage going on. I really want Davines products but they have to be ordered online and so on.. Need something pronto before my cool beige hair loses its coolness before Christmas.

HELP ME TO SPOT IF MY CLARISONIC LUXE CLARSONIC IS FAKE
Hello, I got a Luxe Cashemere brush as a gift, but I'm suspecting it could be a fake, cause in the other Clarisonic brushes i own there are a clock icon and a number in the center on the back of the brush, while on this, I can't see any clock symbol and the number is on the outern circle and not in the center. Since this is the first Luxe brush I got, I can't compare it, so can you help me and check out yours?thanks so much

A review reader's pet peeves
So most of you have probably seen the thread about Benefit reviewing there own product with 5 stars. That got me thinking about some reviewing habits I hate.   1. Rating something poorly because the shopper bought the wrong color.  This is my #1 annoyance because I see it so often. They'll have no complaints about the product, might even love how it works, but they'll give it a 2 star review because the shade doesn't flatter them.  If a foundation oxidizes really orange, or if the pigmentation of a product is terrible, by all means, give it a bad review. But when you buy a foundation without testing it first, or realize the shade of lipstick you bought isn't as flattering as you first thought, don't blame the product.   2. Rating something badly when the shopper knowingly used it wrong. You know how a lot of people like to multipurpose makeup, or store it in odd ways? It's great when it works, often resulting in fun looks for the home and for the face.  Thing is, some products aren't made to work two jobs. You might have the best lipstick in the world, but it sucks as a cheek stain. Why? Because it's a lipstick and was designed to go on your lips, not your face. Unless you bought one of those products made to multitask, don't give bad reviews because you used a product for an unintended purpose. Same goes for storage. Don't complain that a mascara dries out quickly if you say you've got a habit of leaving the tube open for days on end.   3. Unrealistic expectations for price/quality range This one can be hard to judge, both as a review reader and writer, which is why it's last on my list. Some people get angry when a $5 product doesn't work as well as a $50 product that they're used to. The product might work great for it's price, but you'd never know that from reading the review. Likewise, some people might be over enthused by $50 product that works better than the $5 product they're used to. The $50 product might be terrible for it's price, but the reviewer doesn't realize it because the product is still better than what they're used to. From what they write it might be the best product in the world, when really it' s a waste of money.     If you guys can't tell, I've also just sorted through a bunch of poorly done reviews while trying to research products, so I needed a little venting haha. Does anyone else have any major review annoyances?

Cheaper to Buy Less?
Today I noticed two products where it is actually cheaper to buy the smaller product size than the larger version. Normally the more you buy the more you save, but I wonder if I am missing something? ( Canadian Prices ) Is this to get rid of old packaging or is it simply the way they are priced?   1st is Fab Radiance Pads. • 28 for $14 = $0.50/pad • 60 for $37 = $0.61/pad   2nd is Miracle Worker by Philosophy • 0.5 oz for $5 = $10/ounce • 2.0 oz for $74 = $37/ounce

My First Impressions of GlamGlow's Thirsty Cleanse
I received my samples from GlamGlow yesterday and was really itching to try the cleanser. I just used the Thirsty Cleanse so I wanted to share what I think.    First of all I must say that I absolutely HATE the Thirsty Mud Mask. I cannot stand the smell. This cleanser doesn't small as strong (and since I only had it on for a short time and than washed it off that makes a difference).   The way you use this cleanser is that you apply it directly to your dry face, massage it in, and add a bit of water for it to emulsify. You massage that it and than wash your face completely. I don't really like some of the cleansers out there that have this method because I feel like I have to rub my face raw to get it to turn the way it's supposed to. But this one is much faster. It works very quickly.    After I washed it off my skin does feel very refreshed and hydrated. I actually really like the way it feels and I bet after using this sample I would totally buy the full size. I can't give a true "review" since this was just a 1 foil sample I was sent (they also sent me 1 packet of Super Cleanse but I will pass that to a friend).    I just thought I'd share my humble first thoughts on this product

What do you do with products you hate?
Use them?  Burn them?  Gift them?  Return them? I tend to try to force myself to use up products that just don't work for me, whether it's a bad lip shade, a sad tube of mascara, or even a foil I just don't like.  I was thinking the other day that I should probably learn to toss things and move on, since I have plenty of things around that I love and should get my attention! Price Adjustment Thread
There were a few times where I was shopping in a Sephora and noticed that the in-store prices on some products did not reflect the online prices. This seemed particularly wrong to me, as people who are shopping online were unknowingly paying more for their product, and vice versa. I don't know if this ever happened in the States, but I'm sure it has.    I've gotten a mod to help me with the price adjustments on a few products already, but I thought it'd be great if everybody out there keeps an eye out for price discrepancies, and posts them here in the hopes of getting a mod to look into it for us.

Reusing packaging
Of course not everything can be reused and we tend to keep it because we love the way it looks. But there's things like creams, or other bottles you can easily refill that we can put something in.    For example, I love the little Benefit skin care packaging. I kept the Benefit Moisturizing cream jar for the longest time, the other day I bought a moisturizing gel from clean and clear that smells divine and today I got the idea of squeezing that one out of the tube and into my benefit jar.    In a way, you get the sense that you actually rebought this item without much of the cost and stuff, filling that need to want to go buy more high end products.    This is a tactic that I'm using to fill my impulse to want to buy a lot of high end things (especially after this sale event we just passed!)   Have you guys ever done something like this? If so, with what? And now that I look at it, this clean and clear gel could totally pass for a benefit product! lol

Hi beauties!! I wanted to see how ya'll feel about products with parabens. There has been a lot of controversy with parabens stating that they may be related to causing cancer and as well as accelerating aging effects on face products. Sephora vs. Ulta - The Verdict
I've been a VIB for a few years now, and my local Sephora is within walking distance of that "other" brand. I've heard rave reviews about their rewards program, most especially about their generous giving of free product with each new level reached and not samplers.   Today, I headed to my Sephora store for the VIB event, got my bag loaded up, and then...went to Ulta. I was actually there to get a tube of NYX lip gloss since I've heard so much about it, but I went through the whole store out of pure curiosity.   The verdict? While Ulta does carry drugstore brands and their rewards are pretty lofty in comparison...Sephora has my heart. Ulta felt too "superstore-ish". No offense, but a little...below...the standard and prestige of Sephora. So, Sephora, heed our call! Amp up our VIB rewards. Tidy up the shelves and demos in your stores (our store is a tad lacking in that dept.). And, keep up the great work! = )
