I just changed my clarisonic brush and underneath there was some mold beginning to form. I took an old toothbrush and scrubbed it clean, but still..... Anyone have suggestions on how to fix/prevent this and what is the best way to clean them if it cannot be prevented?
Is it going to be back in stock ever? Or has it gone the way of the dodo? It's been OOS for ages now. If it's not coming back, what's a good substitute? I'm not looking for a self-tanner, just something I can put on my lily white legs when required.
Hi ladies. This is the first time I have ever been on Beauty Talk and I'm needing some input on Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector. In theory, I love this product. I've had it for about two weeks now and have used it and played around with it every day. My problem is that when it dries it leaves white, flaky spots on my face that look exactly like dried glue. I warm the product between my fingers before application and pat it on as opposed to rubbing it on. Still have problems with flaky, white unattractiveness. I really don't want to return it because like I said I love the idea of this product I really want it to work! Anyone have a similar experience or tips on how to apply this product without it looking like dried glue? Any help would be MUCH appreciated!
I am thinking of investing in Tarte's Pure Maracuja Oil. I've read reviews saying it made people's skin less oily and softer, but I've also read it helped people's dry skin. What are your thoughts on it? I have combo skin. I get oily on my nose and forehead, but I have occasional dry patches on my cheeks. Also, how do you sleep with it on without getting oil all over your pillow? How do you apply it?
I feel a little embarrassed to ask this. lol I really have never used wax to keep my brows in line but as it came in my lorac brow kit, I would like to get some use of it. I'm just not sure on the application for it! Do I use a brush or fingers? So stupidly confused on this. xD
Afternoon BT! I got the Medi-Spa Peel from Dr. Dennis Gross from Sephora au gratis and these are the results. Today 8/22 is Day 1. I will switch off each day with Alpha Beta Original strength peels. Results with 1 use: smoothed my skin, reduces a majority of redness, helped dry up 2 under the skin pimples that have been driving me crazy, and my skin glows! *I never ever post pictures of my skin without make up or some additional skin care but you all are so nice it makes it much easier!* Here we go! Before: AFTER : So Far So Good DDG never disappointing with his products. The pads felt softer than the AB.Peels, and they have specific directions to follow for actually putting it on your face. Very easy to follow. The smell is mellow compared to the peels. I'll update every other day as I use the Medi-Spa peel but I'll take pictures every day Cheers!
My love for Sephora continues. I was sent a comped, brand new, full sized Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Medi-Spa Peel (launching 08-26-14) to review. I will use it for the first time tonight, so check back to this post if the product interests you.
Why do I keep seeing the Boscia mask duo only to have it tell me it's sold out? My friend wrote to Sephora asking if it was still in stock about two weeks ago and was told they no longer carried it and she should look at dif masks. If this is the case why is Sephora still putting up the products in the sale section? I've been stalking it for weeks! Has anyone had luck in purchasing this recently?
I'm always on the lookout for fun pretty sets for gift giving - like the ones Sephora launches every Fall. Do you guys have your favorite-ever pretty sets? I loved the 2013 Sephora set (the one that opened like a vanity and I'm pretty much in love with the Pupa dolls that have been around for a couple of years...
Let me just start off by saying that I absolutely love all of the Glamglow masks! However, my two most favourite masks are the Supermud Clearing Treatment and the Powermud Dualcleanse Treatment. Can anyone let me know if this is a good routine for both masks: I feel it would be very beneficial to have a clearing treatment and a deep cleanse in one regime. I was thinking of using the Supermud every Wednesday and the Powermud every Sunday... is this a good regime or is using both masks once a week too much for the skin? Let me know! All input is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance! Ps, my skin type is combination oily, acne prone, and dehydrated.
I love the scent of the baby products - baby wash, lotion and powder I know that the shampoo is a bit less effective than the "adult" versions but does that apply to the washes as well? is the baby wash enough?
Let's say, hypothetically, that I'm going to Japan and will be able to buy anything I want....... what would be something awesome to get that we don't have here? I know there's the Maison Laduree rose petal blush (I'm really hoping it's not as expensive there) and Guerlain Meteorites Aquarella, maybe? Anything else? ps. If there are any amazing places/food I MUST see/eat, let me know, too. =)
I was told by a SA at Sephora that I don't need serum with this night treatment. She also recommend to put oil (OH pure truth activating oil I got in a value kit) before OH invigorating night treatment. I'm I wrong to think beauty oils must be put on face after serum/treatment? Thank you guys for your help!
So, on a whim I decided to give Estee Lauder Bath Oil a try last night. Let's just say, the fiance wasn't a massive fan, but I was pleasantly surprised! It is the scent that my grandmother does use, and at a whiff, I do get his point that it smells old lady-ish, but it is also very complex. If you don't stick around to deconstruct the notes it isn't nearly as enjoyable! I was getting hints of rose, woods, and incense with a hint of tuberose. I am quite happy, maybe not an everyday scent, but I like it! The only problem with these complex scents is it's also very easy to overdo it, you know, the "drop a drop a drop of glue, any more is too much glue" poem definitely goes hand in hand with perfume. Admittedly, I did overdo it a smidge last night lol!
Take a look... It's not on Sephora's "what's new" section yet nor the "view all" section of Too Faced brand but if you are on the Too Faced home page and scroll over the "what's new" of Too Faced its there. http://www.sephora.com/ill-stop-world-melt-with-yo u-fall-2014-full-face-collection-P388105?icid2=too ...
Has anyone had a chance to try this yet? Is it the same formula as their previous tinted moisturizer? http://www.sephora.com/product/productDetail.jsp?k eyword=1621283&skuId=1621283&productId=P388108&_re ...
I haven't been all that happy with professional brush cleaners for the prices I've been paying, particularly when it comes to liquids and creams. So I decided to start checking out DIY. A lot of them seem great, my problem is they all claim to be the best/easiest. So I'm asking you guys. What are the best homemade brush cleaners? Do you prefer different ones for different types of brushes? Quick, in between color cleaners vs deep cleaners? Which ones should I avoid at all costs? I can't wait to see your input!
I normally have dry skin but as soon as I put on make up the oil starts to come out leaving my face very shiny. I'm looking for a moisturizer that will keep my face looking shine-free and matte for most of the day. I typically use a drug store brand moisturizer under my makeup which consists of; NARS Sheer Matte Foundation and MAKE UP FOREVER Pro-Finish pressed powder. I've read some great reviews about the following products SHISEIDO Pureness Matifying Moisturizer Oil-Free MURAD Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15 PA++ NARS Aqua Gel Luminous Oil-Free Moisturizer I got a sample and of the Murad Mattifier and got good results but I would like to explore further and get some input as to what people think about the other two.
I have found out through google and retailmenot that Kate Somerville has a 30% off holiday sale sitewide for the "holidays" I am wondering does anyone remember from years past when the sale is? I am just wondering and hoping that my current oil free moisturizer jar will hold out as I want to get the luxury size from the website and also stock up on her toner. Thank you!!!
So I got an expert opinion! What's funny is that I was looking to buy something bright but once her paw landed on "Beige Plume" I'm suddenly thinking I want to add another peachy beige to my collection, haha! I wanna see more cats (and dogs and birds and bunnies and lizards!) in and amongst your makeup! Please post some pics! =^.^=
What products have you gotten samples of and loved so much, you bought it full sized and it is now your HG product? For me, it's Murad's Acne Spot Fast Fix. I got it as a sample and fell in love. It makes my acne less red and smaller in a few hours. What about you? What products did you get as a sample and fall in love with?
I'm starting up my own channel. I honestly don't know where to begin. lol I spend countless hours doing my own researching and experimenting with products for myself so why not share my findings with everyone else? I have a good amount of background experience having previously working for sephora and clinique. Currently I'm in cosmetology school and once I finish plan to go back into the industry to make it as my career.
