Hi, I looked through the forums but didn't see anything on self tanners. I'm pretty pale and every single self tanner I've tried has left my legs and arms streaky and orange or even sparkly. I've read and tried all the best practices like exfoliating etc and nothing seems to work. I've purchased cheaper drugstore stuff like jergens and more $50 bottles of highly rated tanner, same results across the board. I'm looking for either a gradual tanner lotion that I can put on daily and the color will build, but also looking for options for just leg makeup that I can put on when I wear dresses or shorts that can wash off later. Products I've tried: fake bake, jergens, perfeckt, tantalizer, sally hansen, infomercial air brush tanner. Thanks,
Hi! I have incredibly fair skin and have been on the hunt for a foundation that does not cause flashback. Even the foundations that people say do not cause flashback, cause flashback on me. I don't know if it is because of my fair skin or something else but I am trying to find a fix to the problem. What foundations/powder foundations do you use that do not cause flashback? Any advice or great foundations you have heard do not cause flashback? Thanks!
I have a $50 gift card. And was wondering what you all would highly recommend I try out? I don’t want the total to be over $50 so it has to be within that much including taxes/shipping. I plan on doing it through US Checkout once it is fixed because my gift card is Canadian. It still won't allow me to checkout through US without it reverting back to Canada all the time. I was going to go with the UD Correcting Concealer in Peach and the ABH Brow Wiz. What are your highly recommend, best products worth trying within a $50 gift card?
I'm starting a thread specifically for PLAY! subscribers that want to find more of the products they love and have a place to give away the products they don't! I think since they are samples, we really can't "sell" the products to each other. But I think asking for shipping and "handling" may be appropriate. But please let's keep things realistic (i.e $1-2 handling fees, NOT $10). Rules: 1. Paypal only. Do no gift unless you know the person. 2. Honesty. Send what you say you're going to send. 3. State clearly what you're sending/trading for. If it's half gone, say so. 4. Communicate. 5. Be fair.
I wanted to create a poll for fun and see which is more popular among women. My preferences are rosy, pink nude with little shine, I guess moisturizing can fit in here too.And for those that wear minimal makeup like me or for those that are looking for everyday wear and want to explore more options. As for me, it is seriously hard to find the perfect lip gloss even though I compare every single one to my inner lip color.
I recently purchased the bareMinerals bareSkin® Sheer Sun™ Serum Bronzer online, when I got to use it, it was not as faltering on me as I hoped it would have been. I thought it was because i rushed my makeup that day, but as the following day came I noticed there wasn't much of a difference. is there anyway i can return/exchange the product for something else at sephora I know i used it twice but I'm just wondering if its possible? also I don't have the packing slip for it, and don't own a printer so how would i go about that if i take it to a sephora location?
Okay, I can't help it!! So my friend is really intrigued by this product. She lives in the Philippines and I buy stuff for her from here when it's not available there. Now there are some people selling this "Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation" - and I'm kinda baffled because I have never heard of this! They claim that it's not yet released and kind of prototype thing... but I'm so not believing that. I think it's fake... but your thoughts? Ever encountered this? ADD : And they said this is from Canada?
Hopefully I am not stepping on any toes with the No-buy thread or P10P of the past- but I know I require inspiration to use up long neglected products and have never actively sought to finish something up. It can be thrilling! It's almost as good as buying new product, right?* Feel free to join me in forcibly integrating products I should probably just throw away into my routine in an effort to finish them off. Pick 5 products (doesn't need to be full size, baby steps) and begin! My 5 Pan Challenge: 1. Chanel Rouge Gabrielle 2. Benefit 'That Gal' highlighter 3. Glossier face mist 4. MAC eyeshadow quad from circa 1912 5. Dr. Jart Cermadin day tint deluxe sample (*Wrong)
After using the mask, I know it draws impurities from the skin, therefore, would it make sense to use an exfoliating peel the day after applying the mask just to get rid of those that have risen to the surface? Or do you think it would be too much for the skin in a 2 day time span?
Hi everyone, I received a sample of the ABH concealer from Sephora and the ingredient list on the back includes p ropylparaben. However, when I go to the check it out on the Sephora website, it is listed as paraben-free. Moreso, the ingredient list on the website is completely different from the one on the back of the package. Has it been reformulated? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you guys!
I recently fell in love with Biotherm, and thought I'd share the love with BT! What do you love? What could be better? What's next on your shopping list? My most recent Biotherm haul (L to R): the Purefect Skin 2 in 1 Pore Mask, Biosource Daily Exfoliating Gelee, Spray Solaire Clear Body Spary SPF45, Aquasource Dry Skin cream.
Hi everyone, I have both the Origins Drink Up Overnight Mask and the Origins Clear Improvement Charcoal Mask. However, I got them as a gift 2 years ago and was out of country so I was not able to use them. I just got back and was wondering if they are still useable. I haven't opened them yet (there was no seal), but I do not know if they are still good to use. How can I tell? I obviously do not want my skin to be affected if they are out of date. All help is appreciated! Thanks a lot in advance.
I have oily skin but I want to know if coconut oil is a good cleanser for oily skin. I'm in my twenties and am looking for a great skin care brand for cleansers to moisturizers, toners, etc. that fits my needs. I want my skin to be oil free, matte and smooth. I use a pore control bb cream and I still get shiny and oily during that day. Recently, I found a homemade eye cream recipe on pinterest that has coconut oil, evening primrose oil, and vitamin e oil. I do use it on my under eyes for dark circles but can't see a difference so once in a while I use the oil mixture as an overall moisturizer and leave it overnight while sleeping. I wake up the next day and my skin feels smooth and soft.
Hi everyone, I recently have been having very bad breakouts and I need to start covering it up. It is seriously affecting me. As a result, does this skincare regime and makeup routine sound okay? I am going for a no-makeup look, I just want redness to be covered without the makeup being noticeable on my face. Keep in mind I have combination skin. Oily t-zone/dry cheeks So here we go: Cleanse: Ole Henriksen African Red Tea foaming cleanser Tone: Lush Eau Roma Water Toner (Rose hydrating spray) Moisturize: Lush Enzymion Primer? (Not to sure if I should use or skip): If I use it, it would be Makeup Forever Step 1 Hydrating Primer Foundation: Makeup Forever HD Ultra HD How should I apply it? Brush, beauty blender? Fingers? Should I opt for a BB cream instead? Set: Nyx transluscent setting powder Do I even need it? All help is greatly appreciated. Please let me know if I should make any changes! Thanks so much in advance!
Hi everyone! I am new to the BB cream world and am anxious to try them out! I first picked up the Clinique Acne Solutions BB cream, however, the shade was way to light! I went into Sephora and the lovely representative pointed me towards Cover Fx BB Gel mainly for its acne fighting properties. We then did a shade test and it ended up matching perfectly (I was so happy)! I am just wondering though, should I be applying a moisturizer underneath the Cover Fx BB Gel? I first assumed that I shouldn't be as BB creams/gels are supposed to be that 'all in one' product, which contains coverage, hydration, and beneficial skincare properties. But I am a bit confused with the Cover Fx; because it contains salicylic acid it seems as if it will be drying. The product claims to have hydration properties but I am just not sure! What do you think? Let me know! Thank you!
I have monolids but my lashes are short. They curl inwards occasionally and I have to pluck them out. Is there. Is there a eyelash curler that is easy to use and one that fits my needs? Aren't the metal ones hard to use?
I have a friend selling Rodan & Fields, with pressure to buy, and a friend selling Arbonne to help raise money for cancer research (also pressure to buy). I don't know anything about these products, and I think it goes without saying if I am part of this board that I do a lot of research on products, read reviews, read ingredients, etc, before trying out a product. I don't really have time to do that right now to really try and buy something to support. I was wondering if anyone has tried these products and can share a little information about how they worked out for you. Thanks!
Hi Everyone - I'm a big fan of the Sunday Riley skincare line but had a question about Tidal vs. or with Bionic. I'm 28 with normal (acne prone but finally under control with derm. help) skin that is finally looking the best I've ever seen it. I'm hoping to keep it this way and do as much as I can in the anti-aging arena. I currently use a gentle cleanser, Pixi toner, philosophy Miracle Worker Retinoid Eye Repair Cream Eye in AM and Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Intensive Eye Cream at night. Sunday Riley Wise my routine is as follows: AM: SR Good Genes SR Artemis Oil SR Bionic PM SR Luna SR Good Genes SR Bionic I got a deluxe sample of the Tidal product and don't know where I would incorporate that? Is it in place of the Bionic? To be used in combination? Is it more appropriate for AM/PM both? If anyone has any advice or thoughts, I'd love to hear them!
I'm looking to add a daily exfolient in my routine. I have combo, prone to acne, sensitive and dehydrated skin. I have a lot of dry patches and my routine can't get over it. What product do you recommend most?
anyone notice this has disappeared from the Sephora site?! I hope it's not discontinued!!! I went to the Kat Von D website and it's out of stock there. Not that it matters because they don't deliver to Canada. Anyone have any info on this?
