I'll be taking an overnight flight and wanted to get some tips on skincare to prevent my skin from drying out and breaking out. My beauty advisor at Sephora recommended the Ole Henrikson making removing cloths followed by the Murad Clarifying wipes to remove makeup, sunscreen, and clean my skin. I purchased these two items. Then I was thinking about what to follow it with. I was thinking of the Nude Overnight Mask or the Amore Pacific Moisture Bound Sleeping Mask. Any opinions on the Nude mask vs the Amore Pacific Mask? I've used the Nude mask (not on the plane), but never tried the Amore Pacific. Also, do I need to use any other treatments or moisturizers before the mask? I've been trying out a bunch of concealers lately to hide the few blemishes and mild/moderate acne scars on my face. My favorite so far is Amazing Cosmetics Concealer because it's the most opaque one I've ever used and covers perfectly on the first try. However, I notice that when I get home from work and look in the mirror the concealer has worn off. Any advice on why this is happening? I don't use a primer (I'm hearing your gasps!) but I do use a setting powder everyday (MUFE's HD powder). I wouldn't think I'd need a primer because I've never used one before and haven't noticed this issue with any of the other concealers I've used. So is it me not using a primer, is there some other trick to help make it last all day, or is this a common occurrence with this concealer? Help me, beauty gurus!
I'm hoping to try and pare down my mass grave of products. I'm willing to ship first for people who have more hearts than me (just about everyone lol). If you are interested in a product I will take pictures of it for you to see and also weigh it on my kitchen scale so you'll know exactly how much product is left. I'm mostly hoping to find any Josie Maran product (!!), Philosophy Fresh Cream products, anything with sweet vanilla/sugar scents, anything with Argan Oil, and Agadir products. I'm open to other products as well Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser (3/4 full) - Olive and Avocado Deep Conditioning Shampoo (used once) - Kerestase Christaliste Bain Cristal (used twice) - John Masters Haircare Zinc and Sage Shampoo (2/3 full) - 100% Pure Vanilla Bean Nourishing Body Cream (2/3 full) - Boscia Revitalizing Black Hydration Gel (1/2 full) - Kenra Platinum Silkening Gloss (used once) - Redken All Soft Argan-6 Oil (used a few times) - Khiels Deeply Restorative Smoothing Hair Oil Concentrate (used once) - Josie Maran Argan Oil Hair Serum (used once) - Moroccan Oil Treatment Oil (more than 3/4 full) - Aveda Smooth Infusion Shampoo (little more than 1/2 full) - Ojon Rare Blend Infusion Shampoo (2/3 full) - Wen Bamboo Green Tea (used once)
What is the BEST SETTING SPRAY for keeping your makeup (especially blush, bronzer, highlight) in place ALL DAY?! I am running out of my Mac Fix Plus and I would like to try something new, that hopefully works better!! Thanks Dolls!!😘
I was browsing around the Korres page to see the new stuff that has come in, and I noticed the price increase in my favorite, Wild Rose cream. I know prices increase every year, but a sudden $3 increase? Who am I kidding I'll still buy it ...ahh...why must I love it so much? I wonder how they determine which products/brands they'll increase pricing for? On a side note, has anyone tried the new Black Pine line? I'm so tempted to try it. Korres is my favorite skincare brand, and it has never disappointed me!
Hello, I am writing out of desperation so please do NOT disregard this and help if you can. So a bit more than 2 months ago I was searching for toners, toners for GLOWING SKIN! I did a lot lot lot of research to find a good one with a big number of positive reviews and a couple of days into my research I found this toner that was reviewed by the community on Sephore!! (THANK YOU GUYS AT SEPHORA AS ALWAYS!!). But here is the very sad part. I fantasized about having the product day in day out and even had a routine ready which I would follow when I finally had the product but 6 weeks down the track when I finally wanted to order the tonner I HAD FORGOTTEN ITS NAME. I tried rigorously to find the product for literally HOURS every night 2 weeks straight and had no luck what so ever. I hate my self for it and I will never be able to forgive my self if I don’t find it. That’s how much I need it and that’s how much it means to me. IF YOU LADIES WHO ARE READING THIS CAN HELP ME WITH THE NAME I WILL BE FOREVER INDEBTTED TO YOU aAND WILL LOVE YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. So about the product, I do remember a couple of things. It was a WHITE bottle with a GOLDEN/YELLOWISH cap (has a really posh and expensive look to it!! All their products are like that white with golden caps). The BRAND NAME was the name of the CREATOR, the skin cosmetician himself, for example OLE HENRIKSEN (it’s the brand name and the name of the skin cosmetician who created it). The brand name was a EUROPEAN one…… It sounded more FRENCH if anything. It wasn’t one of the main stream ones we all know off like Loral Paris or Maybelline. The PRICE TAG was EXPENSIVE. Can’t really remember what it was but I think it was $100 and over. Probably the most important aspect I remember about the toner was the fact that it had OVER A THOUSAND REVIEWS and had a FOUR AND A HALF STARS rating. So it was reallllllyyyyy good Once again please help me! I know and clearly understand that it is not your job to find it for me but I have tried EVERYTHING and this is my last HOPE.
I've been using this dual phase peel for the last 2 ~3 months and have been loving them but I'm almost out on the gel (the one in the bottle) whereas I have a ton of yellow stuff left. I woudln't want to waste and throw the yellow jar out just because I'm out of the gel..
I'm heading to NYC for the weekend and want to check out New London Pharmacy since I hear they are more similar to French pharmacy with the quality of products they have and the brands (including Bioderma!). I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for brands I should check out outside of the usual suspects (e.g. La Roche-Posay, Nuxe, Lumene, etc.).
So most of you have probably seen the thread about Benefit reviewing there own product with 5 stars. That got me thinking about some reviewing habits I hate. 1. Rating something poorly because the shopper bought the wrong color. This is my #1 annoyance because I see it so often. They'll have no complaints about the product, might even love how it works, but they'll give it a 2 star review because the shade doesn't flatter them. If a foundation oxidizes really orange, or if the pigmentation of a product is terrible, by all means, give it a bad review. But when you buy a foundation without testing it first, or realize the shade of lipstick you bought isn't as flattering as you first thought, don't blame the product. 2. Rating something badly when the shopper knowingly used it wrong. You know how a lot of people like to multipurpose makeup, or store it in odd ways? It's great when it works, often resulting in fun looks for the home and for the face. Thing is, some products aren't made to work two jobs. You might have the best lipstick in the world, but it sucks as a cheek stain. Why? Because it's a lipstick and was designed to go on your lips, not your face. Unless you bought one of those products made to multitask, don't give bad reviews because you used a product for an unintended purpose. Same goes for storage. Don't complain that a mascara dries out quickly if you say you've got a habit of leaving the tube open for days on end. 3. Unrealistic expectations for price/quality range This one can be hard to judge, both as a review reader and writer, which is why it's last on my list. Some people get angry when a $5 product doesn't work as well as a $50 product that they're used to. The product might work great for it's price, but you'd never know that from reading the review. Likewise, some people might be over enthused by $50 product that works better than the $5 product they're used to. The $50 product might be terrible for it's price, but the reviewer doesn't realize it because the product is still better than what they're used to. From what they write it might be the best product in the world, when really it' s a waste of money. If you guys can't tell, I've also just sorted through a bunch of poorly done reviews while trying to research products, so I needed a little venting haha. Does anyone else have any major review annoyances?
I just noticed that my beloved is out of stock, but it's on sale for $27... Repackaging? Reformulating? Can I Mod chime in? Its still full price on the OH website... http://www.sephora.com/invigorating-night-gel-P423 30?skuId=958637
I bought the celebrity lash false eyelashes in the store and wanted to order them online. It seems as though the only ones available online are named after women. I cannot find "celebrity lash". Did they change the name?
Hey all. I am running low on cotton, so I need to stock up soon. I normally but the best deal I can find for cotton pads, but since I have some drugstore credit, I might venture out. Is there any difference between organic cotton and regular cotton? Are there any benefits in buying the organic cotton?
Are these good ingredients for a Night Cream for Dry & can be Sensitive Skin? -Seaweed Night Cream (Mario B.) : Deionized Water, Bladderwrack Extract, Polyglycerylmethacrylate, Stearic Acid, Isopropyl Myristate, Cetyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Hydrolyzed Elastin, Hyaluronic Acid, Collagen, Propylparaben, Triethanolamine, Methylparaben, Benzoic Acid, Imidazolidinyl Urea * I was gonna buy the toner from this line (Mario / Seaweed) but didn't b/c I wasn't familiar w/ the Bladderwrack. Bet I'm missing out but I'm not familiar w/ the brand in general! I did see that it has urea in it as well & that is supposed to be a plus, right! Thanks In Advance for your help! BTW, I use the NUDE SKIN sleeping mask but not every night & was wanting something for in between. I was using Clinique's Turn Around night cream but have been out for a/b a month + & wanted to maybe try this (It got good ratings & sounds awesome).
I love the matte look, something very long lasting and full coverage. I live in DC, extreme weather, humidity and cold. I've heard the Tarte Amazonion 12 hour coverage is a must try. Is this worth all the hype? I've tried Urban Decay, both MAFU brands, as well as MAC and even drugstore Rimmel. How does Tarte compare? Any thoughts, ladies? <3
I posted a thread about removing my makeup/washing face with dry skin a while back. A lot of folks recommended cleansing water. Also, many threads recommend cleansing water, especially Koh Gen Doh. So I finally placed an order for cleansing water (Claudalie since I love everything I try by them) and got it. I've used it a couple of times and do like how refreshing it feels but I have no clue if I'm using it the right way! Currently, I come home and use a cotton round with the cleansing water and proceed to wipe my face with it. I don't use it for eye makeup if I wore eye makeup I use a separate eye makeup remover first (with a cotton ball) and then proceed with Claudalie Cleansing Water. Am I supposed to rinse my face with regular water afterwards or is the wipeout by itself just fine? I will tell you that I've tried both and the time I rinsed with water afterwards, my face was so dry. The time I didn't, my face had a nice dewy glow. But I don't want to leave it on if it's not meant to be left on. HELP!!!
Any makeup, skincare, body, nail, or hair items that work well for $10 or less? I know there is a page for $15 and under but I know there are some items not on there such as some concealer items. Anyone know of such products with great quality that are $10 or less?
I've shopped at the outlets hundreds of times but never stopped into this store. Tonight I decided to browse around and had no idea they carried brands like Mac, Smashbox, Originis, Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown, Clinique. The prices were pretty good. I noticed the Smashbox hydrating primer I normally pay $42 was only $24. Has anyone shopped there? I'm curious if these are old expired products.
So as we all know, Sephora has not carried LORAC products for quite some time now. Does anyone know why this happened, and why they have not been brought back at any point? It's not as if LORAC dropped off of the face of the earth, either...they are still a fairly prominent cosmetics brand...it just baffles me why Sephora doesn't carry LORAC products. Can anyone answer my questions on this? Thanks!
ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?! How DARE you discontinue my favorite sheet mask again?!? First it was When Snow Angel, and now all 6 regular Karuna masks are gone from the website. I don't understand. I just don't understand who is making these decisions. The Karuna mask wasn't even on the website for more than a couple months and it's gone. It's not even LE, and what's the point of writing a review on Sephora if the product is going to be gone in a couple months?!?! I know I'm losing interest in BT/Sephora, but I'm SO breaking up with you! Grrr! *rage eating oreo ice cream + peanut butter* ps. Don't bother recommending an alternative. I tried the Sephora , SK-II, Wei, Shiseido and others. No. I'm gonna go get me some Karuna from Beauty dot com now.
Hello Everyone! I was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of this brand , specifically the Bioelements Stress Solution? Just wondering b/c I have never heard of it. I bought a serum type lotion from FAB (FAB Anti-Redness) a/b a month + or so (haven't tried it), & have since read some new reviews and so on that make me think it's not gonna work out. So, I'm looking for a replacement here (maybe the 3 Little Wonders Set or the PTR Set, idk which would be best) & this just caught my eye while checking my E-mails. Any thoughts or experience w/ Bioelements? Thanks in advance!
Hi everyone! I've been dying to try the GlamGlow supermud clearing treatment for the longest time and yesterday I found it at Marshall's. It was a set with a full sized supermud and a .5oz youthmud for $40, which I was psyched about! I wanted to finish the mask I'm currently using so I was thinking of waiting a month or two before opening either of the GlamGlow masks, so my question is: if I don't open the seal on the jar, will my masks dry up if I hold off on using them for a little while?
