New Ole Henriksen Cleanser!
*Apologies if someone has posted about this already, I did a search but didn't see anything.   Just finished watching Caroline Hirons new video (I know she is a rather "polarizing" guru but that's besides the point!) and she mentioned as one of her recent skincare favorites the new Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Melting Cleanser. I hadn't even heard of this yet so I did a search and found it on Sephora's site! No reviews there yet so I wanted to come over to BT to see if any of you have seen/heard of/tried this yet!   It looks amazing, and I am a huge fan of the Pure Truth line in general. It's also not terribly expensive compared to some other cleansing balms (which this seems to be similar to).   http://www.sephora.com/pure-truth-tm-melting-clean ser-P388265   It has vitamin C, rose hip oil, and like the rest of his products no sulfates/parabens.   Thoughts??

Sephora vs. Ulta - The Verdict
I've been a VIB for a few years now, and my local Sephora is within walking distance of that "other" brand. I've heard rave reviews about their rewards program, most especially about their generous giving of free product with each new level reached and not samplers.   Today, I headed to my Sephora store for the VIB event, got my bag loaded up, and then...went to Ulta. I was actually there to get a tube of NYX lip gloss since I've heard so much about it, but I went through the whole store out of pure curiosity.   The verdict? While Ulta does carry drugstore brands and their rewards are pretty lofty in comparison...Sephora has my heart. Ulta felt too "superstore-ish". No offense, but a little...below...the standard and prestige of Sephora. So, Sephora, heed our call! Amp up our VIB rewards. Tidy up the shelves and demos in your stores (our store is a tad lacking in that dept.). And, keep up the great work! = )

Airplane skincare advise
I'll be taking an overnight flight and wanted to get some tips on skincare to prevent my skin from drying out and breaking out.  My beauty advisor at Sephora recommended the Ole Henrikson making removing cloths followed by the Murad Clarifying wipes to remove makeup, sunscreen, and clean my skin.  I purchased these two items.  Then I was thinking about what to follow it with.  I was thinking of the Nude Overnight Mask or the Amore Pacific Moisture Bound Sleeping Mask.  Any opinions on the Nude mask vs the Amore Pacific Mask?  I've used the Nude mask (not on the plane), but never tried the Amore Pacific.  Also, do I need to use any other treatments or moisturizers before the mask?   Thanks!   http://www.sephora.com/nurture-me-tm-cleansing-clo ths-makeup-removing-P385344?skuId=1597178 http://www.sephora.com/clarifying-wipes-for-blemis h-prone-skin-P376081?skuId=1468271 http://www.sephora.com/moisture-bound-sleeping-rec overy-mask-P296442?skuId=1583053 http://www.sephora.com/advanced-renewal-overnight- repair-mask-P385678

Korres price increase
I was browsing around the Korres page to see the new stuff that has come in, and I noticed the price increase in my favorite, Wild Rose cream. Amazing Cosmetics Concealer - Wearing Off Quickly
I've been trying out a bunch of concealers lately to hide the few blemishes and mild/moderate acne scars on my face. My favorite so far is Amazing Cosmetics Concealer because it's the most opaque one I've ever used and covers perfectly on the first try. However, I notice that when I get home from work and look in the mirror the concealer has worn off.   Any advice on why this is happening? I don't use a primer (I'm hearing your gasps!) but I do use a setting powder everyday (MUFE's HD powder). I wouldn't think I'd need a primer because I've never used one before and haven't noticed this issue with any of the other concealers I've used. So is it me not using a primer, is there some other trick to help make it last all day, or is this a common occurrence with this concealer? Help me, beauty gurus!

PLEASE HELP!
Hello, I am writing out of desperation so please do NOT disregard this and help if you can.   So a bit more than 2 months ago I was searching for toners, toners for GLOWING SKIN! I did a lot lot lot of research to find a good one with a big number of positive reviews and a couple of days into my research I found this toner that was reviewed by the community on Sephore!! (THANK YOU GUYS AT SEPHORA AS ALWAYS!!). But here is the very sad part. I fantasized about having the product day in day out and even had a routine ready which I would follow when I finally had the product but 6 weeks down the track when I finally wanted to order the tonner I HAD FORGOTTEN ITS NAME. I tried rigorously to find the product for literally HOURS every night 2 weeks straight and had no luck what so ever. I hate my self for it and I will never be able to forgive my self if I don’t find it. That’s how much I need it and that’s how much it means to me.   IF YOU LADIES WHO ARE READING THIS CAN HELP ME WITH THE NAME I WILL BE FOREVER INDEBTTED TO YOU aAND WILL LOVE YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.   So about the product, I do remember a couple of things. It was a WHITE bottle with a GOLDEN/YELLOWISH cap (has a really posh and expensive look to it!! All their products are like that white with golden caps). The BRAND NAME was the name of the CREATOR, the skin cosmetician himself, for example OLE HENRIKSEN (it’s the brand name and the name of the skin cosmetician who created it). The brand name was a EUROPEAN one…… It sounded more FRENCH if anything. It wasn’t one of the main stream ones we all know off like Loral Paris or Maybelline. The PRICE TAG was EXPENSIVE. Can’t really remember what it was but I think it was $100 and over. Probably the most important aspect I remember about the toner was the fact that it had OVER A THOUSAND REVIEWS and had a FOUR AND A HALF STARS rating. So it was reallllllyyyyy good   Once again please help me! I know and clearly understand that it is not your job to find it for me but I have tried EVERYTHING and this is my last HOPE.

A review reader's pet peeves
So most of you have probably seen the thread about Benefit reviewing there own product with 5 stars. That got me thinking about some reviewing habits I hate.   1. Rating something poorly because the shopper bought the wrong color.  This is my #1 annoyance because I see it so often. They'll have no complaints about the product, might even love how it works, but they'll give it a 2 star review because the shade doesn't flatter them.  If a foundation oxidizes really orange, or if the pigmentation of a product is terrible, by all means, give it a bad review. But when you buy a foundation without testing it first, or realize the shade of lipstick you bought isn't as flattering as you first thought, don't blame the product.   2. Rating something badly when the shopper knowingly used it wrong. You know how a lot of people like to multipurpose makeup, or store it in odd ways? It's great when it works, often resulting in fun looks for the home and for the face.  Thing is, some products aren't made to work two jobs. You might have the best lipstick in the world, but it sucks as a cheek stain. Why? Because it's a lipstick and was designed to go on your lips, not your face. Unless you bought one of those products made to multitask, don't give bad reviews because you used a product for an unintended purpose. Same goes for storage. Don't complain that a mascara dries out quickly if you say you've got a habit of leaving the tube open for days on end.   3. Unrealistic expectations for price/quality range This one can be hard to judge, both as a review reader and writer, which is why it's last on my list. Some people get angry when a $5 product doesn't work as well as a $50 product that they're used to. The product might work great for it's price, but you'd never know that from reading the review. Likewise, some people might be over enthused by $50 product that works better than the $5 product they're used to. The $50 product might be terrible for it's price, but the reviewer doesn't realize it because the product is still better than what they're used to. From what they write it might be the best product in the world, when really it' s a waste of money.     If you guys can't tell, I've also just sorted through a bunch of poorly done reviews while trying to research products, so I needed a little venting haha. Does anyone else have any major review annoyances?

Cleansing Water for Dummies
I posted a thread about removing my makeup/washing face with dry skin a while back. A lot of folks recommended cleansing water. Also, many threads recommend cleansing water, especially Koh Gen Doh.   So I finally placed an order for cleansing water (Claudalie since I love everything I try by them) and got it. I've used it a couple of times and do like how refreshing it feels but I have no clue if I'm using it the right way!   Currently, I come home and use a cotton round with the cleansing water and proceed to wipe my face with it. I don't use it for eye makeup if I wore eye makeup I use a separate eye makeup remover first (with a cotton ball) and then proceed with Claudalie Cleansing Water.   Am I supposed to rinse my face with regular water afterwards or is the wipeout by itself just fine? I will tell you that I've tried both and the time I rinsed with water afterwards, my face was so dry. The time I didn't, my face had a nice dewy glow. But I don't want to leave it on if it's not meant to be left on. HELP!!!

Tarte sold out to a company that tests on animals...
This is their Facebook status:    To all of our tartelettes: As you may have heard, tarte has recently been acquired by Japanese company KOSÉ. It’s truly been an amazing ride, from the little venture Maureen Kelly started in her bedroom 15 years ago to the global powerhouse we’re privileged to join. Our vision has always been to create beauty products that are ‘healthy treats for your skin,’ foster the highest level of customer service and give back to the community and the environment. By joining the KOSÉ family and adding to that rich portfolio, we can build on what we’ve already accomplished with powerful products and explore expanding the tarte brand in new and exciting countries. And rest assured, we are committed to remaining a cruelty-free brand and will not test on animals. Maureen will stay on as the CEO and looks forward to continuing a lasting relationship with our tartelettes. xo, the tarte team!   While they claim they will remain cruelty free the new parent company KOSÉ DOES test on animals.  So extremely disappointing that Maureen decided to become a big sellout like so many other brands that start out with good intentions but cave into the money. No ethics after all I guess.    I can't post outside links but go ahead and google "KOSÉ animal testing" and see for yourself.
