Your favorite blotting papers?
Just wondering what everyone's favorite blotting sheets are, and why.   Oily skin is very new to me so I never had any use for blotting sheets until just a few months ago.  So far I've tried Palladio Rice Paper and e.l.f. blotting sheets.  I love the Palladio because each sheet is pretty sturdy, large, and has a bit of powder.  The e.l.f. is very flimsy in comparison and probably doesn't soak up as much oil.   Would love to hear which blotting papers others use and what you like about them!

Second Chances
We all love second chances. I'm not talking about neglected items & rediscovering *I'm looking at you Vice Palette*  What are some products you hated at first, but then gave it a second chance & started to really like it?   Mine are: - Too Faced Air Buffed BB cream . Complete impulse purchase in January & I hated it. I hated the texture, and how it attracted fuzz in the jar, I hated the application, the finish, the brush it came with... I didn't return it since it was my fault for purchasing it before there were any reviews on it and seeing it for myself first. A few weeks ago I decided to give it another shot. I still can't get it to work with a beautybelnder (it hates water), but a stippling brush works just fine. I'm wondering if it was just my dry winter skin that didn't like it. It's not a HG product, but I can make it work - Fresh Sugar Deodorant Antiperspirant . At first I didn't like the scent and it dried to slowly. I'm more of a "apply & go" type person. I neglected it for months until I got some of their perfumes. The scent doesn't last long & I was looking into options for extending it (already was using the Acai body cream) & gave the Deodorant another shot. I now apply it before I do my makeup to give it a good 10 minutes to dry before putting clothes on & I have no issues with it & it's now a Summer HG.  - NARS lipgloss . The first one I ever tried was Turkish Delight because I fell into the hype. It was horrible; didn't go well with my skin and felt strange. I prefer lipgloss & stains to lipstick so I gave it another shot a few years later. They are now my HG lip product I have so many in different shades that are all pigmented, not too glittery and not tacky.  -  Foundation/Blush Brush No. 2 . I just couldn't find a use for it. It was too fluffy for liquids, not stiff enough to buff, already had the Too Faced brush for finishing powders... 2 years later it's now my bronzer brush when I'm too lazy to contour but I want an allover glow without looking muddy

11 (Not "10") Things We All Need to Know...
There are 2 people that I've come to really respect their knowledge of skin care and makeup: Lisa Eldridge and Caroline Hirons.  Lisa is exceptional at knowing how to make makeup wear and look better, while Caroline is equally brilliant at understanding the skin and what ingredients it does and does not need--and she is blunt, straight-forward, and speaks from knowledge, not theory.   To follow are Caroline's "Things I Say Over and Over Again".  I know a lot of my questions have been answered by her blog--especially her "Cheat Sheets", so I'd thought I'd share with y'all in case it helps even just 1 person.  Enjoy!   1.  You are obsessed with your pores. They do not open and close like doors. You say they are HUGE - then send me a picture and I can SEE NOTHING.  We CANNOT see your pores. The only person that can see your pores close-up is your opthamologist - or your boyfriend. Your opthamologist is looking at your eyes. Not your pores. And if your boyfriend is thisclosetoyou and notices your pores? He's gay. Or not attracted to you. Or at best, rude. Rethink the entire relationship. 2.  You overuse the Clarisonic. A lot of you. A LOT of you. You can use it - you're just not meant to use it every time you brush your frigging teeth.  Step away from the trendy facial tool and wash your bloody face properly. 3.  Nothing good ever came from scrubbing your face with a peach kernel.  There's a reason they are 99p. Step away. 4.  In general, foaming is what you want Fairy Liquid to do. Not your cleanser. And to the brands: I am unapologetic. 5.  Freckles are cute. At any age. You will do damage to your skin trying to get rid of them. Leave them alone. Embrace them. 6.  Stress is the key to most flare-ups, whether they are acne, rosacea or eczema. Practise relaxation. And not in some hippy-dippy way. Seriously. See the bigger picture. Chill. 7.  Inflammation is the root of all evil. Eat less sugar, take more fish oil supplements. A lot of fish supplements. 8.  Natural doesn't mean you won't react. Essential oils are one of the biggest triggers for skin. 9.  'Dupes' belong in makeup and nail varnish. There is no 'dupe' for a high quality, years-of-research-behind-it skincare product. 10.  Spend your money on supplements, skincare, foundation and concealer and scrimp on the rest. You will look fabulous.     11.  If you would spend more on shoes, handbags, lipstick, jeans or fashion in general than you would on high quality skincare - you will be a sixty year old woman (and man) with a vintage wardrobe and a face like an alligator.

Best eye and lip primers for acne prone combination skin?
To make my makeup last longer at work I've decided to start using both eye and lip primers, but I don't want to use anything that will break my skin out. I've previously used NYX eyeshadow primer from Ulta which worked very well, but the mineral oil in the formula sometimes caused breakouts so I need to switch Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

My Mia 2 has an odor. What do I do? How can I get rid of this odor?
My Mia 2 began to have a bacterial odor, so I removed the brush head. Well, the back of the brush head smelled pretty bad, which I tried to gently rinse the inner part of the Mia2. But, is that okay? What did I do wrong? I've had Mia2 for almost a year, but never had odor problems AND the brush head was replaced recently too.  I ordered more brush heads, but I'm just wondering if i'm wasting money when replacing won't solve the problem. If I am to clean the area of the Mia2 where the brush heads fit, how should I be doing this? Can I use vinegar/baking powder/clorox wipes? HELP!!!!!

Tons of Samples
Please tell me I am not alone. I just got done cleaning out my bathroom closet and I have an embarrassing amount of samples.  Just an estimation but I think I have like 50 foil packs and around 30 deluxe samples of a wide variety of face products.  I basically order exclusively online, with every order I pick my 3 free samples and ALWAYS use a code for a deluxe sample.  I probably order 3 times a month but I have placed up to 8 orders in a single month.  I am constantly using my samples so I never get around to using the full size products I have bought.  But I always have more samples coming in, I feel like I make no progress on using them up.  I also feel like its wasteful to not use them or to not order them.  Anyone else with this problem??

Has anyone else ever used Syn-ake???
I use a lot of Korean skin care products. I just turned 26, and I'm starting to get lines around my eyes and forehead. I did some research online and came across "syn-ake" or snake.   Syn-ake is basically a synthetic snake venom that when applied to the face daily can have similar affects as botox. It is really mild though, you need to use the syn-ake cream everyday and every night consistently.   I looked on Ebay and I found that my favorite seller carried syn-ake cream. So I bought a jar and so far I've been using it for a week and I really like it I also bought syn-ake gel eye patches. I have been using them every night as well.   So basically my question is, has anyone else used sny-ake cream, or anything syn-ake related??? Not very many people have heard of it (that I've talked to anyway.) If you have been using it, how do you like it so far? Have you noticed any changes to your skin??   I'd really like to hear from people that have tried it!! Thanks for reading

Favorite Sunscreen & Self Tanner
With summer almost here & the much anticipated Sun Safety Kit almost out, I was wondering which sunscreen & self tanner are your favorites? Reason why?   I'm super fair skinned. I do tan, but prefer not to (since a tan is just skin damage). My favorite everyday sun screen is Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 40. It's broad spectrum, which means it protects against UVA & UVB rays.   UVB protects you from the rays that burn, stronger mid-day and during the summer. & UVA protects you from the sun rays that cause aging, pesky little rays even make it through on cloudy days (which is why you need to wear sunscreen everyday!) Easy to remember- UVA= Aging,  UVB= Burns.   @ the moment I don't have a go to self tanner. I tried the Bare Minerals and was pleased with the results. It turned out very natural. I can't wait to try the new one from Tarte!  So ladies & gents, what are your favorites???

Samples vs. full sized products
This may all be in my head, but sometimes after falling in love with a sample of a product (pre-packaged, not the little canisters filled by Sephora associates), I purchase the full sized version only to have the honeymoon soon end.
