Question about expire date of LM tinted moisturizer

I bought Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer online one week ago, but the exp date is 12/12. I know the beauty product usually go at least 3 years. Why the exp date is so close? Is it a old product

I agree with the helpful comments that were previously posted. The Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer expiration date sounds about right. You don't want to use a foundation for more than 1-2 years. I also agree that I think you will use it way before the expiration date.

If a product has an actual expiration date on it, I dont keep it past that date. And you have a year from today to use it up, and trust me, you will use it up wayyy before it expires.

My interpretation of that would be December 2012... What does the little expiration date symbol say? Typically products can be used for that long after you open them.

I don't think you got an old foundation but I would suggest calling 1-877-SEPHORA and they might be able to help you.  

Usually there is a shelf life of a product indicated on the box, but this only begins once the product has been opened.  If the product has an expiration date, then stores do not sell past that date printed.
