Potential Skincare Routine for Oily Skin[ Edited ]
Sometime around February, I started using the Fresh Soy Cleanser and the tarte Maracuja Oil. My skin has gotten significantly better since then (regarding my acne)! But, I am starting to notice that oiliness is still a problem for me. My makeup does not stay, my skin gets super shiny within 2 hours, and it causes small, white bumps to form where my skin is especially oily.
I do not like to use products with salicylic acid because I have noticed that I break out more and irritates my skin. (I have sensitive skin)
My friend recommended trying a toner.
What are your thoughts of this routine?
Is it okay to mix lines? Are these products compatible?
Should I use an Origins Moisturizer instead of the Maracuja Oil?
I try to only use cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. I use Origins Charcoal mask weekly.
THANK YOU SO MUCH
Re: Potential Skincare Routine for Oily Skin
It is ok to mix lines. These products are compatible. No need to mess with what your skin likes, maracuja oil is fine. My skin doesn't like salicylic acid either.
The products you use/posted are more toward combination skin. However, I would not suggest changing everything in your skincare at once. Origins Checks and Balance cleanser is better for oily skin than Fresh Soy, so make that switch and see if your skin is better after a week. If it is but still oily, then try the United States toner. The bumps are most likely from oil clogged pore, so switching cleanser should help, or adding an exfoliator might help too. My fav is Clinique 7 day scrub cream.
That's that. If you want to switch the moisturizer to a lighter one....try Clinique yellow gel, or Philosophy Take a Deep Breath. But, try a new cleanser and/or an exfoliator first.
