Let's shake it up in here. We all love luxury brands, but what about our drugstore faves?

[ Edited ]

I thought it would be nice to shine a little light on our favorite drugstores products. We talk a lot about luxury brands. So I thought this would be fun to explore and see what other people use from there.

Mine is:

1. Got2b Smooth Operator Smoothing Lustre Lotion

2. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock 45

3. Almay Liquid Eyeliner

4. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Smoothing Stick (concealer)

5. EcoTools brushes

6. Tresemme Split Remedy Leave in Split End Conditioning Treatment

I love:

1. Labello lip balm (same thing as Nivea) -- I'm never without a stick or two.

2. Clean shampoo -- my current favorite. You can find it at most drugstores and it's in a slender purple bottle.

3. Essie nail polish!

4. L'Oréal eyeliner -- I buy this periodically and I like it.

5. Target brand makeup brushes (they work for me!)

6. Target brand eyelash curler (best I have ever owned).

7. I used to love Revlon ColorBurst lipstick, but I think it might be discontinued :smileysad:. I can't find it anywhere. I loved it, though -- it was just as good as any high end lipstick I've owned.

I forgot to mention this one- I love the Revlon Super Shiny Nail Buffer. I don't go high-end for my nail tools, although I do for polishes.

Classic or Cherry Chapstick is wonderful, and with the price I kinda just stock up and place them everywhere because I know Ill lose them.

I like covergirl face products, like their foundation, blush, and concealer, probably because its what my mom uses and she just introduced me to the brand when I first needed makeup for my 7th grade musical and I've been sharing her stuff since, her color foundation actually works great for my under eye darkness; I use it as a concealer.

I love ELF products as well, and Wet n' Wild eyeshadows are a hit and miss thing with me. Some are really pigmented, others leave much to be desired.

i agree- some of the Wet & Wild eyeshadows are awesome! And some can be equated to side walk chalk. I've found their 8 pan palette, Comfort Zone to have a lot of great, smooth, pigmented options

I also agree! I only have one Wet & Wild Eyeshadow and it is amazing. The brown color is just the prettiest brown i have come across and i own many browns. It has the most amazing formula and works so well for me. I don't think i have ever worn it and not gotten a compliment. I bought it so long ago i don't even know if they still sell it. I hope so since i'm running low.

What do you like about the hard candy clamaflauge concealer?? I've seen it pop a good few times. :smileyhappy:

Re: Let's shake it up in here. We all love luxury brands, but what about our drugstore faves?

It's comparable to Kat Von D's tattoo concealer.  It's heavy duty while being easily blendable, and not turning cakey.  Biggest selling factor...  it's $6!!!  The coloring is quite light, so you'll need to go up a shade or two :-). It's excellent to cover imperfections, especially if you're looking to use a light coverage foundation.

i wear light medium in glamoflauge. I had purchased the light and it was ghostly on my MAC NC20 skin.  I agree that it is comparable to KVD

I never heard of la roche. What do you like about the brand?

viviene23

Re: Let's shake it up in here. We all love luxury brands, but what about our drugstore faves?

They offer excellent fluid sunscreens-- I like the matte fluid for the face....absorbs easily, lightweight and not oily. The redermic retinol line is one of the best over the counter retinol--- recommended for sun damage, fine lines, premature aging or just to maintain younger looking skin. It is available in cvs and drugstore.com if you're interested ;-)
