Round 3

So, I did the peel yesterday but was so tired I fell asleep and didn't get a chance to post between the neutralizer and the pillow. Anyway, today I'm in a positively horrendous mood - the kind where noting particularly bad has happened, yet it's unlikely anything good will. I have to say that catching a glimpse of the fabulous glow on my skin this afternoon gave me an unexpected and incredibly welcomed boost to the spirits.

So...

Dr. Dennis Gross Medi Spa Peel - 1

Vague sense of doom - 0

WooHoo!

I swear certain things like that can lift my mood as well.  Hopefully, you're doing better now and nothing bad happened/happens.

LOLs I read your post after writing comment on HookedOnBeauty2,s post.  We better check if this peel has some soothing effect to make us sleepy Smiley Very Happy . It is really good to know that it is helping to boost up good moods.

it is amazing how our beauty products make us feel good on the inside, too!!!

Re: Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Medi-Spa Peel

I finally did my first peel last night. I am behind a few weeks from most of you. I just received my replacement box this past week.

Thank you Sephora and especially to Candace for this generous gift and for graciously sending me another set so I can try it and glow like these beautiful ladies are on this thread.

The instructions say to rub the pad all over in upward motions. I dont know about anyone else but I found that slightly awkward to do, probably because Im so used to going in circular motions when I wash my face or use my Clarisonic. But I manged to do it as instructed Smiley Happy

I used the pad all over my face, neck and decollete. No stinging or burning. I applied the peptide milk on my face and then realized how sticky my neck was so I had to apply moisturizer.

I didnt notice a major change in the glow of my skin but it made my skin super soft. When I woke up this morning my forehead seemed to be a bit more glowy than before.

I use other retinol products from Dr Dennis Gross so I look forward to the upcoming weeks as I continue to use this peel and see greater results!!!

I rubbed the pad in upward motions for half of the first use and about a quarter of the third or fourth.  No patience for that kind of nonsense.  Hopefully, it works just as well with a natural motion.

That is great that you were sent replacement. You are not alone with the circular motion problem, I do one swipe upward and after every other second caught my self rubbing pad in circular motion Smiley Sad

I did not notice immediate results either but over the weeks I can see my skin looks more glow-y. I did my 3rd treatment last night but somehow fell asleep within a few minutes of applying peptide milk so no pic this week.

Re: Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Medi-Spa Peel

I did peel number 3 last night.  Last week I continued to use the pad until it was dry as the instructions suggest and the only area of my face that seemed to think that might have been too much was my upper lip.  It was the tiniest bit red.  This week I modified and still used the pad until dry but avoided multiple swipes over my upper lip.  Much better!  I think the discoloration around my scar is finally fading.  It is still uneven in texture but I have definitely noticed some positive changes since starting to use the peel.  This photo was taken 15 min after peel 3 and I tried to show my scar since that is the area I'm tracking.

Re: Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Medi-Spa Peel

Looking good.  I try using the pad until it is dry, but even with them drying out slightly it is hard.  I am batting 50%.

Re: Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Medi-Spa Peel

Thanks!  It does take a while for it to completely dry.  I honestly think my skin is so dry it drinks it up pretty fast, if I tended toward normal/combo/oily I'd probably give up long before it dried!  I actually ended up throwing a tiny bit of moisturizer on over step 2 this time in the spots I felt tight!

Re: Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Medi-Spa Peel

I agree, seriously radiant. The glow really came through it your party pics, too. I can't even image what week 16 is gonna look like.

Seriously glowy! Smiley Happy

It's Thursday.  Fourth treatment after picture.  Forgot the before picture.  I had one breakout that burned like crazy when I applied this.  There is also a small paper cut on my nose that burned pretty badly itself.  The glow was pretty awesome again.  It only lasted about 5 days again this week, so I was ready for my next treatment.

I am still uncertain if anything is peeling from my face at this point, so I will save my review for another week or two.

Re: Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Medi-Spa Peel

your skin is looking so radiant. This peel is working really well for you. I am not sure if we are supposed to get something peeling off our faces. I was using philosophy peel for a long time and never although I love how my skin looked after but I never notice anything actually peeling off my face and same goes with the both treatments of this peel.

Thanks.  I am definitely loving the look (minus the pimples popping up here and there).

Re: Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Medi-Spa Peel

I ended up getting a fair amount of "peel" about 24 hours after my last one.  I was left with the softest skin!  I'm not sure if this is typical of the peel because it didn't happen the first time.  I decided to wait an extra day or two before using it this week in case that was too much exfoliation!

My skin does feel softer and less dry.  I just haven't noticed any peeling.  Maybe, that is a good thing.  It may be peeling without me noticing.

Re: Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Medi-Spa Peel

Looking glowy! Smiley Happy Even with his regular peels, breakouts and cuts burn like crazy, but actually I've found the peels reduce the scarring impressively.

That would be awesome.  I will gladly take on some burning to avoid scarring.

Re: Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Medi-Spa Peel

Okie Dokie…back for another exciting installment! Here we go -

Week 2

Since the last episode: I'm happy to say that the glow held for several days. I really put it to the test, too, forgoing the weekly mask and exfoliating I typically do. My skin was noticeably firmer the day following treatment 1, and that lasted for about 3 days as well.

Application: I must have one of the more tightly fitting containers because I did not experience any drying out of the pads for step 1. Upon application, the product didn't tingle like it did last week, but there were flashes of a slight burning sensation. Not painful, just noticeable. I let it sit a bit longer than last week before applying the milk layer hoping to cut down on some of the tackiness.

An hour later: Tackiness averted! My skin feels the slightest bit filmy and if I were going to apply makeup right now, I'd definitely have to rinse it off but as it's a Sunday and all I'm doing is chattin' with all y'all and watching TV, I'm good. I'm definitely noticing that a lot of last week's glow intensity is back and my skin tone looks less splotchy/more even. The extra firmness and resilience hasn't kicked in yet, but it took overnight last time, so well see. Until next week...

Oh, I took some pictures, but I don't think they really capture the true accomplishments of the treatment. Really, I'm just posting them because I said I would. Smiley Very Happy
