I've received a lot of questions regarding Animal Testing and decided to start a thread for everyone to participate in. Since we carry over 200 other brands the ones I've listed below have confirmed that they do not test on animals. My research is still a work in progress for brands not listed so if any of you know of brands that do not animal test and isn't listed feel free to add to this thread. I'd appreciate your help with this project! ![]()
Our private label Sephora Collection and Sephora Originals (Hello Kitty, Kat Von D, Tokidoki, Tarina Tarantino Sephora by OPI, and Pantone) are cruelty free (meaning that the products have never been tested on animals).

So glad you posted this, i've been meaning to ask this questions for a long time.
if a products says "This final product not tested on animals", does this mean that some of the ingredients they used were tested on animals? Or that in the beginning phases of making the product that they did animal testing?
Thanks!

If a product states that the FINAL product is not tested on animals, it means that they are likely purchasing ingedients from sources that were tested on animals. Many manufacturers buy ingredients from companies that test on animals and use animal bi-products. But, they state they are cruelty-free because they are not testing on animals. Personally, I want to purchase only from companies that don't buy ingredients tested on animals also.

@cosmeticsbycort: I think if the wording is "Final Product Not Tested on Animals," it's implicit that some of the components might have been; otherwise, it would likely just say "Not Tested on Animals" or "Cruelty Free," etc. Just my opinion, though -- the particular company would be able to offer the final word re: whether ingredients were tested on animals.

@ cosmeticsbycort - Katie1724 is right! I found that the final product is not tested on animals but there may be some ingredients that some brands can't confirm that may or may not have been tested on animals. @anaa - I found that DDF no longer tests on animals and have confirmed in the following statement which can be found on their site: "P&G has ended animal testing on all our finished consumer products except when required by law. We use non-animal alternatives first. We only use research involving animals when there are no other reasonable options."
I hope this clarifies some questions previously asked. Thanks for your help with that question katie1724. ![]()

@cosmeticsbycort - That's an excellent question! I'm not sure of the answer right now but I'm happy to do some digging
and get back to you.
