Alcohol-Free Moisturizer

What's everyone's favorite Alcohol-Free Moisturizer?

With warmer weather on the horizon, I need to phase out my retinol serum and want to start using the Dr Dennis Gross A/B pads at night http://www.sephora.com/extra-strength-alpha-beta-face-peel-P269122?skuId=1352194

I've had success with them in the past, and my skin isn't as sensitive to sunlight with it like other treatments are. I know in the directions it states to avoid products containing alcohol, and checked out my stash... all my moisturizers have alcohol in them. Even the Korres sleeping facial :smileysad:

I'm also considering trying Perricone's Blue Plasma instead, but am unsure how much sun sensitivity it has. I hate that "warm, I feel like my face is going to fry" feeling even when wearing SPF 50 with big sunglasses. It's most annoying when driving in the car and the sun magically finds a spot on my face that I can't block.

Hi, I just bought the alpha beta peel, and I'm looking for after peel skin care product.

May I know what product works the best for you after the peel?

I only use them about one time a week now, if that. I started using rx Retin-A, and much happier with it. BUT... I was using whatever moisturizer. I just waited a few minutes & didn't have any issues. My favorite night moisturizers are La Mer & Koress Wild Rose & C+ sleeping facial.

Yes! I love how re-vamped everything is- I just opened my new eye cream of theirs and it  is SO lightweight but was really moisturizing- I put my makeup and concealer on after it and no creases or dryness which is a miracle in this dry windy weather! :smileyhappy:

Re: Alcohol-Free Moisturizer

I'm hoping this suggestion may work as I was told by the Nars specialist that it IS alcohol free- (also stated on our site too!) Their new skincare line has been really great on my own sensitive skin without drying it out or feeling too hard- plus I use the PTR max complexion pads which makes my skin a little more sensitive but the nars works well with it!

Thanks Diana! I was looking at this too. I was at a NARS counter not too long ago and was told that they partnered with Shiseido for their skin care line.

Re: Alcohol-Free Moisturizer

And this would work well to complement the Alpha Beta Peel:

You may know this already (the Korres Sleeping Facial has both types), but some ingredients w/ alcohol in the name are actually fatty alcohols (emollient), so you don't need to avoid those. Examples: Cetyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol and Behenyl Alcohol in the Korres Sleeping Facial.

Just thought that might help with your search!

Re: Alcohol-Free Moisturizer

Thanks, I did know that, but I get a little disappointed when I see just "alcohol" in the ingredients list. I had a hard enough time finding toners without alcohol (I never liked alcohol in my toner) & now it's on to moisturizers... You're right, The Wild Rose Sleeping Facial does have both Alcohol & Behenyl Alcohol.

Thanks! My skin didn't like the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel, but I did try the moisture surge gel and thought it was decent. I think when using a strong treatment, you need to be careful what's inside the moisturizer. I might purchase the moisture surge gel. Thanks for reminding me :smileywink:
