Hey ladies, I've been using the Klairs C serum for the last three months, pretty religiously and it's been amazing. However, this morning I noticed a little yellow spot inside the pipette that disposes the serum. It's too large to enter or exit the pipette so I'm fairly certain that it's a fungal growth. I tried getting a picture but it's too small and the pipette glass is too reflective for a helpful image. However, like I said, I've only had the serum and been using it for 3 months. The serum has a shelf life of 12 months from opening the bottle. Has this happened to anyone else? I purchased the serum from sokoglam in late November. Also, what do you guys think? Is it contaminated?
I have had a problem with the blackheads on my nose for about 15 years. I have otherwise near-perfect skin which is slightly dehydrated, but have never suffered from acne or oiliness. The pore problem is isolated to just my nose, which is also rather large. What I am currently doing to get rid of them is using a pore strip after a steamy shower, then gently exfoliating my face and following up with a charcoal mud mask. This gets rid of them... BUT! I have to repeat the process within 3 days, and I am so tired of doing this. I have done so much research about the topic, and I know someone is bound to respond to this with "Don't use pore strips. They stretch out your pores and make them worse. If you stop using them, the blackheads will go away," but the blackheads are literally so bad that I cannot not be seen in public without clearing them first. The blackheads are 3-D, and stick out of my skin so I can literally feel them when I run my finger along my nose. (Did I mention I have a big nose? The blackheads are very noticeable!) Also, I have tried abstaining from using pore strips for a long time while being diligent with my normal skincare routine, and the blackheads did not just "go away." Below is a list of other products which I have tried to remedy the problem with: Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment Caolion Premium Blackhead Steam Pore Pack Origins Clear Improvement Charcoal Mask Tony Moly Blackhead Out Oil Gel Clarisonic Cleansing System the entire line of Dr. Brandt "Pores no More" I'm sure I am forgetting even more products which I have used, but NONE of these has helped my nose pores, and I am really open to any suggestions at this point. Has anyone with this problem found a method to fix it? What should I be doing differently? Any advice will help. Thank you so much!
I just bought a micro needle roller and I'm not sure what to put on it after I'm done. Since the skin absorbs 80% after I don't want anything that will dry it out. Nor do I want a cream that will cause me to break out. Help!
So I LOVE the Sephora Collection lip masks, especially the Shea! When I went to pick some more up in store the other day they were all out and said they had been for a while. I checked the site to find out that even online all there is are the Rose ones. I'm just curious if the Shea lip masks were discontinued completely? I clicked to be emailed when the item is back in stock, but I just wanted to know if I would be wasting my time waiting for an email when I should instead be looking for a new product? Thanks in advance!
I'm 30, and had my first baby in October. I woke up one morning and tried to remove leftover mascara under one eye only to discover it was a "dark circle"! It's small, but looks so much like smudged make up that it's borderline trashy! What product will help help to keep it from growing? The baby sleeps through the night now, so lack of sleep won't be contributing to it anymore.
I have researched tanning moisturizers for sensitive skin and have seen great reviews on Vita Liberata tanning night mask. Is it at all possible to obtain a sample of this product so I can test results and reaction to it? the price is excellent as long as I am able to try it first. thank you in advance - carol
Do you agree with her views on skincare products? I'm on a hunt for my Summer night serum & moisturizer. I think I'm going to purchase the Perricone Blue Plasma even though it stinks so bad of fish & I hate fish. I've been researching products a lot and one of the sites I was on was Paula's Choice. She is not a fan of the serum... Actually the more I read through her "beautypedia" reviews, it seems like she's not a fan of a lot of products. I also got a feeling she was mainly trying to push her own products and Olay. Examples: - She's against treatment cleansers since it's just "washed down the drain". I have to disagree with this. When I use a treatment cleanser, although they can be drying, I do see improvement in my breakouts. - Witch Hazel is bad. I find witch hazel to be an important ingredient when choosing a toner. She think it's just as bad as alcohol if not worse. Products she gave a "poor" rating to: - Anthony Logistic's Glycolic cleanser got a poor rating because it doesn't contain any glycolic acid. - doctor dennis gross's A/B pads since we can just skip step 2 by simply splashing water on our face to deactivate step 1. - Dior Capture Totale One Essential Serum because it's not a "miracle serum" since it's primarily just "water, slip agents, and alcohol" - ExfoliKate - Just about every Ole Henriksen product I love - Origins Checks & Balances, Charcoal Mask & every other decent product from them - Most Murad products I do agree with a few points she makes, like companies need to stop putting active ingredients in clear vials so the sun doesn't break down the properties of the treatment. Also jar packaging is a big no-no for her. I understand that some creams are too thick to be put in a pump, but what about those airless jars that Bosica & Dermadoctor are using? I hate sticking my fingers in jars & the air does break down the active ingredients over time... Overall though, I don't think I'll be going to her site when I'm researching a new product I want to try.
Does anyone know if Sunday Riley has discontinued its Bionic cream? It's no longer showing on Sephora website or at most other websites. This is the first anti-aging type cream with bells and whistles that I've been able to use without any reactions. Can a mod pipe in and confirm?
Hi! Looks like my favorite neck cream is out of stock I was using Ole Henricksen and loved it. I tried it because I started getting a texture on my neck that I didn't like...this smoothed it out considerably and made my skin so soft. I have oily skin so something that absorbs quickly and isn't too heavy would be great. The reviews just confuse me. I don't want to spend a small fortune either. Thanks in advance for your help!
I have two issues that have been bothering me lately... one is my dark hereditary under eye circles, and the other is large pores that appear like they are filled with blackheads all the time. I have decided I want to try the Giorgio Armani Master Corrector.. should I use the pink (shade 1) or orange (2) for my circles which can be blueish but mostly are just brownish? Secondly, you can probably see in the picture that I have enlarged pores all the way up towards my under eyes and on the part of my nose that is showing. I don't believe theres any way to shrink pores... but is there something I should add to my skincare routine? I'm 24 years old with dry skin, and currently use Cerave Face Wash, Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2, a liquid BHA 2% exfoliator at night, paula's choice benzoyl peroxide treatment as needed for acne, and moisturize with Clinique Dramatically Different Lotion + at night, and use Clinique Moisture Surge Intense in the morning.
For years now, I have been having what seems to be an allergic reaction to most skincare products and makeup. What happens when I apply my serum and cream or makeup is my eyes water real bad and I have a lot of tears throughout the day. My eyes are never swollen or red though. I noticed that certain products make my eyes water worse than others. For example, eyeshadow primer (Stay Don't Stray, Benefit) or liquid eyeliner (NYC) or especially when I wear foundation... That makes my eyes water the most. (The skincare products I'm using now are the Estee Lauder Advanced Night repair serum and Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream by Sunday Riley). I've tried hypoallergenic products in the past but most of them make my eyes water anyway. I was wondering if anyone has any advice as to how I could exactly find out why my eyes water so much from so many products? Or if there is some kind of test I could ask a doctor for to find out what my allergies are? I was also wondering if simple eyedrops would help, perhaps Visene for allergies? Also has anyone else experienced such allergies, if so I'm really hoping to hear your advice. Thanks! Spoiler (Highlight to read)
For as long as I can remember, I've had these tiny bumps that gather around the inner corner of my eye and along my dark circles. I really, really hate them! They kind of look like chicken skin, but they don't really feel bumpy or anything. I've seen pictures of milia, and that is definitely not what I have. These little bumps don't ever go away and they never move. Some people say that they've started to notice this chicken skin under their eyes as they aged, but I'm a Sophomore and I've had this problem my whole life! I've done a little research, and so far all of the fixes have been really complicated and confusing. Please give me a solution! I like to take good care of my skin, but I'd much rather just buy a lotion or something than see a dermatologist. Thanks for all your help!
My boyfriend gets red, irritated skin in the winter. He says it is dry but there is no noticeable dryness. He uses cetaphil cream and aquaphor but the skin is still red on most days. I had him do a charcoal mask with me and it seemed to help but the redness returned the next day. Any suggestions on products he can use daily to reduce the redness and irritation during the winter months?
Hello, I am a competitive swimmer with normal but extremely sensitive skin. I spend close to 20 hours in a chlorinated pool a week and my face gets dry to the point it is constantly flaking off. It also becomes red and blotchy as well (similar to an allergic reaction rash). Can anyone recommend any products to reduce redness? Right now I am just using a ton of Vasaline. Thanks!
Hello! I have a friend who has eczema around her eyes and she can't wear any eye shadows because of it. I don't know all the brands of eyeshadow she has tried, but the only brand from Sephora (high[er]-end) is one of the Urban Decay Naked palettes. Most of the time it immediately burns and causes redness/rash. With the Urban Decay palette it took about five hours. Do any of you have recommendations for good eye creams to try and also some eyeshadow products that wouldn't cause such a reaction?? Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have!
hello! i use eye serum..however i don't put moisturizer on top of it because I'm not sure if I'm suppose to..but when i put makeup . it looks dry under my eyes. what can i do to hydrate my under eyes. so that when i put concealer its not chappy looking
I've been using dr Dennis gross peel pads and they helped my skin so much !! I decided to get the ferculic acid + retinol serum and moisturizer ( since it says follow up with a moisturizer from their brand ). I didn't notice a difference in the first three days ( I wasn't expecting any so soon anyway, I know it takes time ) anyway I put the glam glow mask on ( the white one ) and the next day I woke up with small tiny bumps all over my face! with foundation they are really noticeable and under light it's super noticeable! Idk what to do how how to get rid of them!! Should I stop using the serum and moisturizer? I'm guessing mixing the ferculic acid + retinol with what ever is in glam glow wasn't a good idea !! What should I do ? I don't want to go to a dermatologist because they made my first worse last time !
I've heard such great things about the Too Cool For School egg cream hydration mask. I want to love it but I woke up this morning with a terrible rash all over my face. It's tiny little red bumps everywhere. It's not itchy but it is sensitive and tight feeling. I don't know what I should do now to correct the problem. Help please. So the products I used last night: - Egg Cream hydrating face mask. This was my first time using this mask. After I used the mask, I let the remaining product sink into my skin. -Drunk Elephant b-hydra intensive hydration gel. I put this on about an hour after finishing the face mask. I've been using this for months without any issues. I don't know if it was just the mask or if it's a combination of the mask followed by my moisturizer. I just need some hello getting my skin back to normal. I have no idea what I should be doing to calm this thing down.
I started noticing that I'm getting spider veins on my thighs, some are bad enough that I can actually feel the indentations. I'm 20 years old and in the normal weight range (on the low side, if anything). I know my grandmother has them pretty bad, but she's also pretty heavy so I don't know how hereditary it is, but my 14 year old sister is starting to get them too. Does anyone have any recommendations on treatments, prevention methods, or just general advice? I am probably going to go to a doctor soon, but wanted to see if anyone had any experience with this. TIA!!
My husband has a skin disorder, something like scorisis and it is on his legs and feet. His skin is very sensitive and when he take showers the scars are moistened and they become open like scratching a scab and itches terribly. Right now he has to keep his skin dry and cant get to anxious or stressed. Any ideas or suggestions ?
After I wash my face, I notice that my skin gets dry. I notice when I try to apply my make up it looks really flakey and it doesn't go on very smooth. Is there a good primer that you recommend to put on before I apply my make up so it goes on more smooth?
It's getting pretty hot where I live, and I think it's important for me to get a better sunscreen-right now I use a tinted moisturizer with spf 15, but I don't know if that's enough. Are there any drugstore brands of sunscreen that won't have that horrible smell that never goes away? Also, when should I apply it in my makeup routine? (I use a moisturizer, primer, and tinted moisturizer, then a setting powder) Thanks!! ps. I have dry skin-I don't know if that makes any difference with sunscreen. Thank you!
