So I've started noticing dark spots on my body (i.e abs, legs) and I'm a bit concerned and unsure how to correct this problem? There seems to be a plethora of items to treat this concern for the face but does anyone have any recommendations for something formulated for the rest of the body?
I generally have oily skin. I also have open pores and they get clogged with sebum. I have tried multiple cleansers and they just don't seem to be able to clean out my pores. The only way is when i take a "hot shower" and remove it gently with my finger scraping my skin. I know I shouldn't be doing this but when i put on powder or blush you can see the residue from the clogged pores. I have tried mary kay; 2 different types of cleansers, boscia; 2 different types; etc... I need help. Please advise Thank you'
What are a few awesome products from Sephora for a complete skin care regimen to help someone with post-acne scars/discoloration or dark spots/oily skin in order to brighten up and even out the skin's tone and texture? I don't get acne anytime during the month EXCEPT when it's "that time" of the month, so that is not my main concern. It's more about the acne I had when I was younger and the discoloration and unevenness it has left on my skin. Just looking for something to brighten, even out, and smooth my skin out! I'm thinking exfoliator, peel, moisturizer, cleanser? Thoughts? Thank you!
I've seen quite a few sunscreens specially formulated for the eye area and I'm a bit confused by it. During the day I presently use the MD SolarScience Mineral Creme SPF 50 and go around the eye area (of course not right up too close) and at night I apply my moisturizer to keep the area hydrated. Do I really need an entirely separate eye spf?
Hey Guy's & Doll's, I have a question about a cpl of theBalm face washes. I bought the radiance pad's from FAB like suggested but thought I could maybe add a face wash for my PORE CRISIS ! Can anyone PLEASE tell me real quick which 1 would be the best for my Clogged Pores on Nose & in General : 1. Rose Face Cleanser - Normal to Dry Skin 2. Lavender Foaming Face Cleanser - All skin types 3. Coconut Milk Cleansing Face Cream - Norm. to dry 4. Rose Face Cleanser - Normal to Combination Skin #1 & #4 are the same for targeted treatments : Rose Face Cleanser for normal to combination skin will gently exfoliate the skin with glycolic and alpha hydroxy acids, while removing makeup and impurities. In addition to the numerous well known benefits of the glycolic and alpha hydroxy acids, the gel texture of this cleanser leaves the pores feeling refreshed and tight . #2 Lavender Foaming Facial Cleanser is effective and non-drying. Soy proteins nourish by providing depleted skin with a rich source of mineral salts, amino acids and peptides #3 TimeBalm Coconut Milk Face Cleansing Cream gently removes dirt and makeup that is trapped in the pores, without stripping your skin of its natural nutrients and moisture. Lactic acid works to polish the dull outer layers of the skin.
I let my 12 yr old daughter get her eyebrows shaped a few months ago, and Sunday we went to have it done again. This time, a lot of her skin was torn off, and is red. What can we do to soothe this a little more, and/or make it heal faster? Why would this happen now after she's had it done before? Someone told me her acne medicine could be the culprit, but she doesnt really rub it on her eyes. How can this be prevented?
I have a lot of sun damage. At least that is what I think it is. They brown spots on my face showed up summer 2013, when I was pregnant. They haven't gone away yet. So, I'm thinking it wasn't from my pregnancy. What is the best thing I can use to help alleviate these spots.
I've been wanting to try BB Creams but don't know if it's worth it. For those of you who have tried it, what do you think of it? Also, which one would you recommend over others? Finally, how pale do you have to be to wear a BB cream? Doesn't really have anything to do with Sephora but I would appreciate your help. Thanks
Does anyone have any suggestions for a great dark circle skincare product or cover up?? I have fair skin and very noticeable blue/purple dark circles under my eyes. To make it worse I have a face full of freckles, which I do love, but if I try and use concealer on my dark circles it draws more attention to the area because it becomes the one non freckly place on my face. Any suggestions? Thank you!
For as long as I can remember I've had puffy under eyes. I don't really have issues with dark circles as much as general puffiness. I know it doesn't help that I tend to pound water right before I go to sleep - something I've been doing since I was very little. So I'm willing to accept what that creates but would love any ideas or products that can quickly eliminate under eye puffiness and tighten that skin back up.
I am 30 years old. Never smoked, never drank heavily, have slept 8 hours a night since forever, and I eat well and get plenty of physical activity. I have used nightly moisturizer on my face/neck/chest for about 2 years. I have no wrinkles anywhere on my face and I don't really wear make-up on the regular. I didn't wear sunscreen as I should have but I never stepped foot in a tanning bed or "laid out". Here's the thing - I have deep ringlike "neck wrinkles" and they're even appearing towards my collarbone. Yikes! What do I do? Thanks for reading.
SO, I have noticed some changes ( those wonderful "changes" ) to my skin over the past year. A slow and depressing scene. I will pass through all the phases ( as I tend to get long winded ) & skip straight through to last night. OMGoodness I looked in the " No-No " mirror & Ta' Da, to my dismay there were a gazillion pores ( I can already unusually see w/ a normal mirror)....CLOGGED w/ gunk. A task NO mask, scrub, or "bump juice" could defeat. So yes, I broke out my extractor & commenced to de-gunking myself/ nose. I have GOT to get my skin back on track & quick! I already feel not so pretty due to other things changing & now this! * I need something preferably w/ no silicone's that can whip my pores / skin back into shape fast w/ long term benefits. * I have masks, exfoliators, & polishers. I have never purchased or looked at things for such an issue so I have no clue what is best. * I do have a deluxe sized tube of the Dior Skin Perfect Pores formula thing'e ( the one that look's as though it only comes in a kit w/ little to no info). Idk if it's any good, suitable for my dry & can be sensitive skin, and exactly what if anything it could /would do for me [my pores/ nose]. Any suggestions? I would greatly [so greatly] appreciate any & all info, suggestions, and tips you have! Thanks in Advance !
Do you agree with her views on skincare products? I'm on a hunt for my Summer night serum & moisturizer. I think I'm going to purchase the Perricone Blue Plasma even though it stinks so bad of fish & I hate fish. I've been researching products a lot and one of the sites I was on was Paula's Choice. She is not a fan of the serum... Actually the more I read through her "beautypedia" reviews, it seems like she's not a fan of a lot of products. I also got a feeling she was mainly trying to push her own products and Olay. Examples: - She's against treatment cleansers since it's just "washed down the drain". I have to disagree with this. When I use a treatment cleanser, although they can be drying, I do see improvement in my breakouts. - Witch Hazel is bad. I find witch hazel to be an important ingredient when choosing a toner. She think it's just as bad as alcohol if not worse. Products she gave a "poor" rating to: - Anthony Logistic's Glycolic cleanser got a poor rating because it doesn't contain any glycolic acid. - doctor dennis gross's A/B pads since we can just skip step 2 by simply splashing water on our face to deactivate step 1. - Dior Capture Totale One Essential Serum because it's not a "miracle serum" since it's primarily just "water, slip agents, and alcohol" - ExfoliKate - Just about every Ole Henriksen product I love - Origins Checks & Balances, Charcoal Mask & every other decent product from them - Most Murad products I do agree with a few points she makes, like companies need to stop putting active ingredients in clear vials so the sun doesn't break down the properties of the treatment. Also jar packaging is a big no-no for her. I understand that some creams are too thick to be put in a pump, but what about those airless jars that Bosica & Dermadoctor are using? I hate sticking my fingers in jars & the air does break down the active ingredients over time... Overall though, I don't think I'll be going to her site when I'm researching a new product I want to try.
For as long as I can remember, I've had these tiny bumps that gather around the inner corner of my eye and along my dark circles. I really, really hate them! They kind of look like chicken skin, but they don't really feel bumpy or anything. I've seen pictures of milia, and that is definitely not what I have. These little bumps don't ever go away and they never move. Some people say that they've started to notice this chicken skin under their eyes as they aged, but I'm a Sophomore and I've had this problem my whole life! I've done a little research, and so far all of the fixes have been really complicated and confusing. Please give me a solution! I like to take good care of my skin, but I'd much rather just buy a lotion or something than see a dermatologist. Thanks for all your help!
Hello there! So my aunt, who's probably in her 40's, has some pretty severe hyper pigmentation on her neck! She's constantly embarrassed about it and she has tried many products. Unfortunately I can't list any of them since I don't know and has even gone to a dermatologist... and that has failed. From what I know she has used only lotions and gels. I am hoping for some of you beauty lovers to have an idea or a cure or even know someone who has been able to overcome it and recommend what they used. She's pretty desperate at the moment on trying to get rid of it. to have an idea on what her hyper pigmentation looks like I will link some photos below (not her but what it sort of looks like). Just try to imagine this all on the front of a neck... There isn't anything graphic just a picture of a neck and cheek if you were wondering! https://escholarship.org/uc/item/4580r7rs/1b.jpg http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3BbOj5vt2zA/TkEF2sDjL9I/ AAAAAAAAAE0/rNQg5-PR4yQ/s1600/acanthosis-nigricans ... Please help!
I really want to get one of these to add to my daily routine. I just don't know which one to get. The Foreo Luna is obviously more money up front, but you have to buy replacement heads for the Clarisonic. So in the end the Clarisonic will cost more. Honestly with price aside which one do you ladies like more?
I have suffered with kp for years since junior high on my legs. It causes breakouts and scabs to occur. After they heal, I am left with black spots/scars on my legs. I also have this problem on my buttocks. Do you have any suggestions on how to fade these scars/spots?
hello i was thinking of getting the clarisonic opel does anyone have it and does it really work? Read a lot of good and bad reviews about it, so before i spend that much money i would like know from you beauty ladies your opion please thank you.
Hi ladies, I'm curious if any California peeps are having skin issues, possibly related to the drought. My skin has always been oily and acne prone, but I've noticed in the last year that it's become more and more sensitive. And the last few months it has suddenly become sensitive, dry and itchy. I have an appt. with a dermatologist to see what's going on (unfortunately, the first available appt. is more than a month away), but I'm curious if others are experiencing similar issues. I know the environment can impact your skin in many ways, so I would not be surprised if the drought is making my skin unhappy.
I have very dark spots all over my chin area (these are self inflicted - i used to tweeze stray hairs without looking in a mirror) and at the last VIB Rouge event the rep convinced me to buy this. Just wondering if anyone has gotten great results from this mask. I just feel like after using it twice per week for a few weeks that it isn't even doing anything for me.
Hello! I have a friend who has eczema around her eyes and she can't wear any eye shadows because of it. I don't know all the brands of eyeshadow she has tried, but the only brand from Sephora (high[er]-end) is one of the Urban Decay Naked palettes. Most of the time it immediately burns and causes redness/rash. With the Urban Decay palette it took about five hours. Do any of you have recommendations for good eye creams to try and also some eyeshadow products that wouldn't cause such a reaction?? Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have!
I don't know what to do with my skin. I'm currently using: - PERRICONE Hypoallergenic Gentle Cleanser - Eucerin Soothing Repair Creme on my eczema - ORIGINS Charcoal Mask once or twice a month - ORIGINS Zero Oil™ Lotion on oily areas I need some help. I'm sick of this. I can't wear makeup because it either flakes (dry areas) or just clumps or melts off (oily areas). I've never found a foundation that has covered the redness either. What can I do? Anyone else have this or a similar issue? (PS. I can NOT use any Milk Cleansers or anything like that containing milk.)
Hello! I have a question for those of you who have been to a dermatologist. Do they have some sort of skincare ingredient testing? For example, would they be able to say, You're allergic to Titanium Dioxide and Niacinamide. Or would they just say, You have sensitive skin. Avoid x, y and z. It seems like everything I try, even if the product says it's for sensitive skin, I break out in red spots/bumps which I assume are from allergic irritation. When I stop using the product, the bumps go away. The two products that I've been trying to look for are a moisturizer with SPF higher than 15 and something to lessen post acne marks. It has not been a simple task! Any insight or info would be so appreciated! Thanks.
I have a few small broken capillaries/spider veins on my face, which I blame mostly because of daily exfoliation with my Clarisonic. I've pretty much stopped using the Clarisonic for 2 months now, but I was wondering if there's anything else I can be doing to help get rid of or minimize them without using concealer or laser. Thanks!
