lately my skin has been awful i have noticed large pores and oily skin just on my nose and dry skin on the rest of my face. i have a good face scrub and i moisturize but this doesn't seem to help does anyone have any advice or products i can use
I have KP on the tops of my thighs. I think they're pretty bad too. So i finally made up my mind to get the Dermadoctor KP Duty Moisture Therapy. But for a 4 oz. bottle, it costs $30 something dollars! So i was thinking of getting the 1 oz. bottle because it's only $9 and i can try it out. But after reading the reviews (I just have to read the reviews before I buy!), people said to use it everyday for over 2 weeks. I doubt 1 oz. will be enough. Is it worth getting though? Are there any similar products that can reduce my KP for less $ here at Sephora? I'm pretty desperate for something that would work because the weather's getting warmer and I don't want people to stare at my KP on my thighs like my class does during gym :/ THANK YOU! <3
I have a face lotion that is perfect for my face and I am looking for a Serum that I can use in combination with my current lotion? I have fair combination skin with rosacea on my cheeks and chin. Thanks!
I really want to buy a Clarisonic Mia but I'm afraid that it might stimulate the hair on my face to grow thicker. I really don't want my peach fuzz to become more noticeable. I read this online: Topical hair growth is caused by sustained surface irritation to an area. These methods can stimulate the blood supply to an area, bringing more nourishment to the area. This can stimulate hair growth. Has this happened to anyone using the Clarisonic?
I've never had a problem with drugstore deodorant, but I wanted to make the switch to aluminum-free. I first purchased Tom's of Maine Natural Long-Lasting Apricot Aluminum-Free Deodorant Stick. It smells like fruit loops and kept me odor-free. Unfortunately, I ended up getting a painful red rash under my arms. So I discontinued use and opted for Lavanila's Healthy Deodorant.. Same results. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions what I should try next? Like I said, I've never had any sensitivity issues before using drugstore deodorant with aluminum.. But I'd really like to steer away from that..
I just saw a post from Starletta8 saying she really likes the Shiseido items she has tried. I tested some today at the Sephora event but really havent used any of their products. I have combination skin (oily forehead & nose, normal cheeks & dry around my mouth). The SA recommended the balancing set. What do you think? Oh and I loved the Urban Environment Tinted UV Protector Broad Spectrum (shade 1). Just disappeared on my skin and then felt smooth.
For years I used Dr. Scholl's Overnight Cream, in the UK. When moved into US I found out the moisturizer with the same name wasn't the same product. I've tried many creams before, and nothing really was close to that one. Now, even the substitute I found from Dr. Scholl's has been discontinued. So, I'm back on the market looking for some potent feet cream. Using feet cream during the day only causes mess and blisters. I prefer a highly potent product, to be used overnight, wearing cotton socks to absorb it better and not leave my sheets greasy. Any suggestions on daily exfoliant for use in the shower, also welcome. No major problems here. I'm looking for an effective daily care for feet exposed in sandals and flip flops during summer, something to help it look good without the need for a monthly pedicure.
Do you agree with her views on skincare products? I'm on a hunt for my Summer night serum & moisturizer. I think I'm going to purchase the Perricone Blue Plasma even though it stinks so bad of fish & I hate fish. I've been researching products a lot and one of the sites I was on was Paula's Choice. She is not a fan of the serum... Actually the more I read through her "beautypedia" reviews, it seems like she's not a fan of a lot of products. I also got a feeling she was mainly trying to push her own products and Olay. Examples: - She's against treatment cleansers since it's just "washed down the drain". I have to disagree with this. When I use a treatment cleanser, although they can be drying, I do see improvement in my breakouts. - Witch Hazel is bad. I find witch hazel to be an important ingredient when choosing a toner. She think it's just as bad as alcohol if not worse. Products she gave a "poor" rating to: - Anthony Logistic's Glycolic cleanser got a poor rating because it doesn't contain any glycolic acid. - doctor dennis gross's A/B pads since we can just skip step 2 by simply splashing water on our face to deactivate step 1. - Dior Capture Totale One Essential Serum because it's not a "miracle serum" since it's primarily just "water, slip agents, and alcohol" - ExfoliKate - Just about every Ole Henriksen product I love - Origins Checks & Balances, Charcoal Mask & every other decent product from them - Most Murad products I do agree with a few points she makes, like companies need to stop putting active ingredients in clear vials so the sun doesn't break down the properties of the treatment. Also jar packaging is a big no-no for her. I understand that some creams are too thick to be put in a pump, but what about those airless jars that Bosica & Dermadoctor are using? I hate sticking my fingers in jars & the air does break down the active ingredients over time... Overall though, I don't think I'll be going to her site when I'm researching a new product I want to try.
I'm only 23 and I can start to see some capillaries on my cheeks. I hear harsh scrubs and the sun can cause this and I'm definitely a sun-lover. My face lotion has sun screen in it but I guess it's not enough. Wondering if someone can recommend something to stop them from getting worse? They're not really noticeable, I'm more concerned about them getting worse. Thanks for your help!
i have normal to dry skin and my main concern is fixing dark spots like old ance spots, and a few little scars... nothing extreme. im looking for a daily moisturizer to use that will help with my dark spots/scars and that helps with fine lines and wrinkles, i have a few fine lines on my forehead. Im 22 so i dont need something extremely heavy. I do get semi sensitive to breakouts, but i got a sample of the korress wild rose brightening cream and i like it, but i was also looking at the ole henricksen truth cream vitamin c moisturizer.. which one do you think is better for me?
Hi there, i've been confusing with my skin type so it's kinda hard to find a right skincare or make up product. I have really oily in t-zone area (especially the nose), and very dry -flaky skin (even though i exfoliate 1-2 times/week) around forehead and two sides of my face!! So please let me know any advise on what is my skin type is!!! Thankssssss!
I have recently noticed dark circles under my eyes. I use Clarins Multiactive Day Cream and Diorskin Nude Cream Gel Foundation. So should I get Clarins Eye Contour Gel or Diorskin Nude Hydrating Concealer to fix the issue faster? I also work outdoors for about an hour everyday. Do let me know!
It is kind of hard for me to find a product for acne scars. They are like little red bumps and I just dont know what to use. If anyone has recommendations and if they think it would be good for sensitive/dry skin let me know!
I'm trying to decide on which toner to purchase, if anyone has tried them, would you care to give me your opinion? I have combination skin with some very mild acne, like I mean a pimple here or there from time to time. I'm really looking for my skin to be hydrated well and not have it stripped from it instead. Thanks!
What do you guys think: Boscia black mask or white mask? I've been debating on trying one, but can't decide which I really want. do they really peel off or is it hard and tears your face up in the process? Has anyone tried one or both and have an opinion? I really want to get one or the other and not have to return it bc I don't like it. Its annoying to return, especially after using it.
I am looking for a balancing face oil. I have tried Pangea Organics (when Sephora used to carry them) and loved it. I also have tried Josie Maran argan oil and I broke out (sad face). I am wondering what other face oils are out there that people are loving.
I am currently looking for a new face mask.... I have become quite lax with my facial care, and need to start back... I have historically used DDF's Charcoal Mask, which I loved, except for the packaging (it was in a tub, and eventually dried out)... I am approaching 32 with a history of cystic acne (leaving pock marks, not brown scaring), and would like a purifying mask with possibly age 'rewinding', and pore minimizing. I have heard a lot of Michael Todd products, but would LOVE imput from beauty guru's on BT ;-)
I was never especially fond of the smell and feel of sunblock as a kid, and I find it even more of a pain now that I wear makeup. I feel like it messes with my makeup and I cannot reapply it. I found out about powder sunblock recently and was wondering if it really works??? I'd appreciate any input. Thanks!
I picked up a box of 4 skin care items from Origins at TJMaxx yesterday in a set called "White Tea Wonders". I tried finding it online but the only thing I see is an old nordstrom's page for it (like from 2007). I dont want to use it if its 7 years old. Last week at Sephora an employee told me that TJMaxx sells expired skin care items. Does anyone know when this set came out/ was sold?
I'd really like to start incorporating spf into my routine, but it seems like everything ends up making me break out or worsens the oiliness of my skin. Recently, I tried Shiseido's spf 40 and Ole Henriksen as samples but no luck with either. I've been thinking about PTR, Murad's oil-control mattifier, or Philosopy's Take a Breath which just came out with an spf version (no reviews yet though)! I love the feeling of the regular Take a Breath moisturizer so am excited about the new version. Anyways, I hate having to try out and return used products so wanted to get feedback before I commit!
I'm looking into putting serum and eye cream into my skin care routine. I know how could I not have those in them? I do have a few dark spots from previous acne scarring and a bit uneven skin tone, I wonder if any of you have a recommendation for a serum for my skin type? I got a sample of Ole Truth Serum Vitamin C Collagen Booster and my skin seems to love it, its only been 3 days. I'm also looking into getting an eye cream for the fine lines, I don't have any dark circles or anything else besides a bit of fine lines. Any recommendations would be appreciative.
My local Origins store is having a promo this upcoming week, so I am looking at a few products to pick up. I bought their charcoal mask and Out of Trouble 10 minute mask about 4 years ago and was not impressed. I used the charcoal one once and broke out like crazy. The Out of Trouble was okay, but I never wanted to use it. I felt like it didnt really do anything, plus I didn't like the smell. I eventually ditched it after having it sit for 3 years in my vanity. A few weeks ago I picked up a sampler bag of Origins items at a CCO. I had read a lot of great reviews about the Ginzing eye cream and wanted to try it. My sampler bag has a mini Ginzing, a mini mascara, a mini double-ended lipgloss, and a small hand cream with an adorable/earthy looking bag. After trying the hand cream & Ginzing- I took a trip to the Origins store and tried the Plantscriptions eye cream. They gave me a sample to take home and I have really been liking it a lot (have used it about 5 times) I have to purchase two full-sized items for the promo. I really like the Plantscriptions eye cream and am looking for one more recommendation. Does anyone have a MUST HAVE product suggestions from Origins? Skin care or makeup! Thanks!
Hi everyone!, I recently bought Supergoop!'s SPF 30+ City Sunscreen. I wanted a light, facial sunscreen serum and I've been using this for a couple of days now: I'm pretty happy with how it feels. It doesn't make my face any oilier, and it doesn't smell much like sunscreen. Except I've been noticing a bit of pilling. I generally don't touch my face at all during the day but I do take the liberty of leaning my jawbones on my hands while reading, and I can feel product build up there that, when I rub back and forth, balls up :s. I never otherwise experience this so I'm pretty sure it's the Supergoop! I'm also pretty careful about letting moisturizer absorb, since I'm a moisturizer junky. Has anyone else had experiences like this with Supergoop, or with sunscreen more generally? I'm thinking this means I should return :s
I use to have a lot of acne so that resulted in a lot of acne scars on my face. It's been years and I haven't been able to get rid of it. I tried using Clinique Spot Corrector and Dr Brandt Dark Spots No More but neither worked! Lately my skin appears dry and flaky after I apply the Dior BB Cream and I don't know if it's always been like that just that I don't notice, or if it suddenly became like that. My skin is also a little sensitive and I fear that I'll get wrinkles earlier than I'm suppose to due to the poor condition of my skin (I do use sunscreen everyday). At this point, I don't know what to do with my face anymore! Please give me some advice! Thanks!!
