I'm 21 and have suffered from acne for as long as I can remember. I've been to the dermatologist and have been perscribed multiple things that have done absolutely nothing. I've tried just about everything so I need some help. I have oily skin and I need products that help with acne or will not cause me to breakout , yet usually when I use products for acne prone skin they leave my skin with dry patches and super sensitive. Is there any products out there that will help with acne but not dry me out??
I have oily/sensitive/acne prone skin and have been looking for a good moisturizer with SPF that won't irritate my skin. I recently tried Philosophy Renewed Hope with SPF 25 (only because I use the night cream and its amazing) but the SPF version is horrible for oily skin. What are the ones that work best for you?
Hi lovely ladies and gentleman, I'm new to the sephora beauty talk community and I wanted to ask you all for some tips on skincare products such as face cleansers, face masks, moisturizers, skin toners and primers for oily skin. I can't seem to find anything to help me control my oily skin. If you make any tips of recommendations i'd really appreciate it ALSO any good foundations for oily skin, and best setting sprays and setting powders?
i am a sufferer of oily skin and im just so tired of my foundation caking up after awhile. i cannot stand how i use my usual routine of washing, exfoliating, toning, moisturizing and priming my face and it still does this. im really coming close to terms with the fact my skin is just so darn oily . either i need new foundation, possibly a new wash or what. i just need something to help
I am a teenage girl with super oily skin, large pores, and mild acne. My main concerns are definitely the oily skin and large pores, though. Would a Clarisonic Mia 1 or 2 be a good investment for me? If so, which one? Have those of you with similar problems experienced success with the Clarisonic? If you don't think Clarisonic would help with my particular skin, are there other tools you would recommend instead that might be better? I am definitely open to others if they could help reduce my oil, tighten my pores, and keep my breakouts at a minimum. Quick responses would be awesome, as I'm looking at buying one over Black Friday or on Cyber Monday if there are good deals.
I have very oily skin and am looking for a good moisturizer. I want something that is not greasy and does not make my skin oily. Something that my skin can absorb and not just sit on the surface. My skin also tends to flake which makes everything even worse and I have mild acne. I have tried Philosophy, Clinique, Murad, Proactiv, etc. Please help!
Hi there, Im 21 years old and I want to change the moisturizer i use ( neutrogena for combination skin since i have pretty oily skin. Hi I am looking for a good face oil for combination oily skin. I am in my early 20s and my skin is acne prone. I have been using the Clinique moisturizing gel but still get dry patches on my skin because of acne treatment. I am looking at the Boscia Tsubaki Oil, the Tarte Oil or Fresh Seaberry oil. Does anyone have any recommendations? Also, does anyone have any suggestions for a lightweight eye gel or cream for my skin type and age? Thanks!!
Hi, Beauties! Armani here once again to give you some helpful tips! This is for the Beauties with oily skin. That's something no one wants at all. So I'm going to give you some tips on how to maintain oily skin. You should use Aveeno Skin Clearifying Cleanser. You should cleanse your face three times a day. Stick with one cleansing product. ( Other chemicals could react to one another and results would be terrible- Experienced it). Remove all makeup before ending the night. ( Use makeup wipes). If using a Toner, make sure it doesn't contain alchohol. These were just some VERY short tips for Oily Skin. Thank you Beauties for reading this!!
I have oily, acne prone, sensitive skin that gets occasional dry spots (like super scary dry!) because of my acne medication. I'm looking for a moisturizer that won't make my skin any worse but will help with the spots that get nasty. Advice?
What's the best face mask for black heads and just clearing pores? I've been think of the Orgins Charcoal mask or the First Aid Beauty red clay mask? I know Glam Glow is good but it's alittle too pricey, I just wanted something that actually works.
Hi, I am looking to buy a new moisturizer soon. I currently only use the tarte maracuja oil at night, which is why I need to buy a daily moisturizer I can wear in the day and under makeup. I have oily skin, but I try to avoid product with salicylic acid because my skin is sensitive and has had a bad history with such products. I am going to buy the Caudaliue toner as well as the amore Pacific enzyme peel. Should I stay consistent and get this Caudalie moisturizer? http://www.sephora.com/premieres-vendanges-moistur izing-cream-P6022?skuId=241539 I also looked into the Korres ones. http://www.sephora.com/wild-rose-24-hour-moisturiz ing-brightening-cream-P61805?skuId=750992 Please let me know what you think or any other recommendations you may have for me! Thanks! xoxo
Hi! I'm wondering how I can control the oils one of my products adds to my skin. For four years, I used Kiehl's Calendula Toner, Ultra Facial Moisturizer, and Sun-Free Self-Tanning Lotion. This summer, though, I switched to the Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster for a tan and I LOVE it! It has the best glow, but it does make my skin oily. I know it's this product, too, because I conducted tests and found my skin was less oily without it, but I just love this product. Should I stop using it? I'd prefer not to, so what can I use that will stop the oil? I used a Kielh's Oil Eliminator spray but it doesn't do the job. I want my skin to look as clean, smooth, and normal (not dry) as possible. Thanks!
I have always had oily skin, so all of my products are geared toward that. However, this winter I have started getting dry patches on my face that my regular moisturizer just isn't getting. Can anyone recommend a good moisurizer that is extremely hydrating that might not clog my pores?
Can anyone help me figure out a good skin care routine? I've pretty much figured out what products I should steer clear of. Cream based products break me out. Water based ones do me good. I use a non foaming non soap cleanser. Follow it up with Dickinson's toner. Then, here's here I am at a lost. I would like to try a really good serum and moisturizer that could help me with my acne marks, uneven skin tone, redness, and dullness.
Hi! I'm 28 yrs old and do not have a skin routine. I use drugstore cleansing products (Biore) and it works great. The only time I break out is during my period, and its usually on my chin. Other then that, I don't have major skin issues. I have combination/oily skin. However, I do know that as I get older, I should really have a skin routine down. I was looking at some of the "starter kits" that sephora has to offer and the clinique one is appealing - but wanted to get some others' opinions. What are your routines and how did you find the right combination of products for yourself?
Hi everyone! So I'm basically looking for the whole nine yards at this point. I've been content with my current and past cleansers and moisturizers but lately I've been feeling like my skin has almost started regressing? It looks like it could use some change so I'm open to all suggestions! Here's a few concerns I'd like to address for sure. but like i said WHOLE NINE YARDS Trouble Areas: -OILY TO COMBO SKIN-for the most part my skin is more on the oily side, however i noticed my skin tends to dry up around my eyebrows and mouth (don't know why those areas but that's it) -BLACKHEADS-hate them, have them. I feel like sometimes they are just so huge that its taking over my face & honestly makes me feel self conscious (which no one wants to feel) Currently using Biore black head strips & they work well for the most part, but I feel like there is more i can do to make them go away or at least be less noticeable -BRIGHTEN/EVEN SKIN TONE-I think i have pretty even skin tone, however sometimes i do get blemishes or redness on my face, also I feel like my skin is looking dull, so I'm looking for something to brighten it. Thanks i advance ! & remember the WHOLE NINE YARDS!(:
The texture of my skin is just bananas! Can anyone recommend how I should handle it? I exfoliate to no avail. I am acne prone and super oily, but I still have those dry patches. The bumps aren't blackheads or acne...
I've seen SK-II mentioned again and again in interviews with celebrities (Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara, some models and stuff) and it's carried in Sephora, so it's kind of within reach. I was wondering has anyone tried it? which product and is it good for oily skin? I've brought stuff for my mom, but the main complaint was it's too creamy/thick since she have 100% oily skin. I think La Mer's gonna be a bit too thick, and I was eyeing the SK-II Essence for change of season/especially tiring days (but no pimples or oily mess allowed).
I don't know anything about this stuff. I've never worn a primer before and have yet to find a good moisturizer. I was hoping someone could recommend me some products that would make all 3 of those items go well together (as in their ingredients not cancelling each other out, causing break outs if mixed, as well as not making it look or feel excessive). If a primer that doubles as a moisturizer exists, then that would probably be ideal since my skin might be too oily to require both? But I want my foundation to look better and my skin does get flaky in places if not moisturized. I currently use: cleanser, exfoliation, toner;;; moisturizer, straight to foundation, and then powder if I'm oily/feel myself getting oily Things you might need to know: Skin Type: combination-oily? -Shine on forehead, nose, sometimes chin -Flaky on the bottom of the cheeks near the mouth, sometimes nose, sometimes forehead (even though those places are also oily) Acne?: -blackheads (nose, a little between brow, a little on chin) -- don't know why -seldom get cysts (chin) but that's usually hormonal -prone to getting closed whiteheads (forehead, a little on chin) -- so the product can't be pore clogging please D: Goal/look I desperately want: -hide oily skin -keep shine away -not needing to touch up on face powder/blot oil constantly -fill/hide pores that foundation fails to do -I want a matified/airbrushed look to last for as long as possible thanks to the product I'm wearing (I heard some of them can somehow absorb the oil throughout the day?) The foundation I use is: Clinique pore refining solutions. -Not looking to change this product. -Works great but I want it to improve. -(flakyness shows, -**oilyness doesn't stay hidden**, -redness from scarring shows, -pores get hidden on the nose but **don't get filled/hidden as well on forehead**) **=thing I want solved the most The moisturizer I use is: Clinque dramatically different moisturizing gel for combination skin. -It leaves my skin oily and doesn't seem to absorb well. -Flaky parts take forever to recover. -(I use only half a pump since the full pump is too much.) I'm totally lost. Too many products here and I don't know anything! Please help, thank you. These are the ones that caught my interest but idk if they mesh well or do what I want it to do (absorb oil throughout day, refine/hide pores with my foundation) PRIMER: -SMASHBOX photo finish foundation primer -isn't vs oily skin specific MOISTURIZER: -SHISEIDO pureness matifying moisturizer oil-free -BOSCIA revitalizing hydration gel -isn't vs oil i think
Hi, I have very oily skin. I currently use clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel (I've tried the murad oil control mattifier, Mac oil control lotion) Sephora 'tricks of the trade' anti shine primer Bare essentials bare mineral Matte foundation (I've tried Mac studio fix fluid spf 15) and the tarte smooth operator micronized clay finishing powder Even though these products are oil free and should help my skin stay matte. THEY DO NOT HELP AT ALL I wanted to ask you guys what you use if you have oily skin. I am open to suggestions to moisturizer, primer, foundation and if needed finishing power. I am also open to the idea of liquid foundation. I was just under the impression that liquid foundation will cause your skin to become more oily Please help! Its summer and my face is soo oily I can fry samosas on it!!
I have combination skin that can get extremely oily all over especially in the hot summer. I need a full coverage mattifying foundation that can hold up all day. Right now, I use Benefit Porefessional to prime followed by L'Oreal Magic Smooth Souffle Foundation and MAC Blot powder. That seems to hold up pretty well through the day and gives me ok coverage, but the foundation accentuates dry patches like crazy. I also have a lot of hyperpigmentation and scarring from acne so I would like to use a full coverage foundation. I have heard really good things about Kat Von D foundation and I was really curious about that as well as anything anyone could suggest. Thank you
Here is my regimen Morning Wash with Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser Sometimes I use Renee Rouleau Lemon Bioflavanoid toner Boscia antioxidant moisturizer Night Renee Rouleau Aloe Cleansing Milk with Clarisonic to remove makeup Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser Sometimes I use witch hazel with tea tree oil Philosiphy Help Me Retinol Renee Rouleau Skin Correcting Serum I still have quite a few clogged pores on my skin and beside my nose and between my eyebrows and I also have blackheads ALL over my nose. I get hormonal acne and I have combination skin. My skin is not sensitive at all...I can use quite a lot of harsh products. I was looking at Kate Somerville Exfolikate or REN AHA Concentrate but I'm not sure which one to get. I also want to fade some acne scars I have..Would either of these help with that? Or do you guys recommend something else?
I need your guys feedback/help! I can't seem to find a good foundation for my oily skin! Anyone have any good recommendations? The foundation can be any formula! Let me know what has worked best for you! Thanks! <3 glittermania13
Hi everyone! This is my first time posting because I'm so fed up and wanted some advice. I'm 25 years old with combination skin. Oily forehead and cheeks and dry around chin area. I've struggled with acne forever and tried everything. I keep getting acne on my cheeks. Also, just for context, I do have a hormonal imbalance and am taking bc for it. I wash, tone, and use moisturizer, but I notice later in the day that my cheeks are red and my face looks shiny and greasy with large pores on my cheeks. Here's the deal: I have no idea what products to use and am overwhelmed whenever I look something up. Primers, bb creams, cc creams, mineral, matte...it's a foreign language to me. I was thinking about coming in for a consultation but I feel like an idiot b/c everyone my age seems to know what they're doing and I don't even know the basics! Also I live in a humid region and was wondering about makeup routines. When it's so hot, how do you get your primer/foundation/everything else to stay on without your face looking like its melting! Helppp
