How do I successfully combat my issue with my oily skin? I feel like I have tried everything. I use a gentle cleanser (which contain salicylic acid) that doesn't cause my skin to feel tight or dry, an oil free moisturizer, and all oil free/matte makeup. I've also tried using oil as a mositurizer (such as coconut oil because it was recommened) to combat it which hasn't worked either. I am constantly having to blot my face numerous times a day and I still feel as if all my makeupis melting away. It feels like i'm going on an endless journey to find what is right for my skin.
Hi everyone. i have super oily skin and I tried a lot of oil free facemasks, cleansers and moisturizers but at the end of the day my face still feels oily and I breakout pretty often. Please suggest some good foundations and moisturizers which can keep my skin matte. Thank you
I have done some research and I like the idea of all of these. Which one will stay matte all day? If I use a primer and loose powder. Lighter coverage: ABH foundation stick milk sunshine skin tint urban decay one and done hybrid nars velvet matte skin tint fuller, heavier coverage foundations: Kat Von D foundation Urban Decay all nighter tarte rainforest of the sea I don't mind full coverage but I am wondering if you can make them lighter for the day time if possible? I would rather have a lighter coverage but I don't know if any of them stay matte all day
I have suffered from oily skin for my entire life. I try to be thankful because I know I'll continue to have fewer wrinkles when I'm older however, for right now I want to die! I have acne prone skin as well (as if it doesn't already go hand in hand!) and I'm currently looking to totally revamp my skincare/makeup routine. I've used foundations such as Kat Von D lock it foundation which moved whenever I would even touch my face, transferring to my hands, you could actually SEE where I had touched my face because the foundation would transfer and separate so badly. I've also tried Nars foundation, Tarte Shape tape concealer which I actually love, but don't think it's great for my oily skin sadly I'm obsessed with Laura Mercier setting powder, and have tried some drugstore foundations, but everything seems to literally want to slide off my face. I have used benefit porefessional primer for about six months and though I love it, I also don't think this is great for oily skin. My Becca poreless primer seems to work well, but I'm open to other suggestions as well. I'm thinking a lot of this could be helped over time with the right skin care. The right wash, toner, moisturizers, and masks could really do the trick as I notice the difference with masks almost immediately, my face loves them! Any good face/sheet mask suggestions for oily/acne prone skin? I've read that I should be hydrating my skin more even though it is oily... I'll literally take all the help I can get! Thanks! xx
Hi I have posted here a few times but im trying to get more opinions. I am having the hardest time finding a good tinted moisturizer for summer that is light and will keep oil at bay.Its so hard to find. I get pretty oily and when I get oily I get cakey. Here are a few I have found: 1. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 - Oil Free 2. NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 3. NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint Broad Spectrum SPF 30 4. tarte Amazonian Clay BB Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 Sunscreen 5. tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation SPF 15 6. Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick Can anyone tell me anything about any of these? I do want it to last all day without getting oily and cakey.
Here are my questions 1. is this sweat proof and will it last all day? I have oily skin so thats why im asking.. I will set with powder but I am still asking. I plan to use in the summer 2. what kind of a moisturizer should I get if I tend to use this foundation... would I use a more mattfying moisturizer (that is for oily skin) or should I get a hydrating moistruzier (that is for all skin types) 3. This sorta goes with the moisturizer question ..but what kind of primer.. would i get a mattfying one or a hydrating one? 4. will this foundation work if I have dry patches?
So I have super oily acne prone skin and large pores. I'm looking for face washes, or toners, and possibly foundation or BB cream that would "work" or "be ok". I have tried the Clinique pink toner (I forgot what its called. Clarifying Toner?) and Kate Somerville Acne Face Wash. They both work pretty well but the toner doesn't keep my skin feeling fresh. And something using both can be slightly drying so I sometimes use a moisturizing gel or facial essence. So to sum it all up, I'm looking for skin care that can help with my oily skin and potentially some form of makeup that won't oil up (i.e primer, foundation, BB cream, concealer). I don't need full coverage, light to medium would be perfectly fine, just to help cover up my trouble stops and have a light veil over my discoloration. Thank you so much!
Any oily girls like me have experience with this sunscreen? I need a non-comedogenic high SPF sunscreen that won't clog my already-overactive pores. I was looking at this or Sheshido's products. I've tried Boscia and it broke me out. I would like something that goes on smoothly under makeup. Thanks!
i have 2 bottles courtesy of a friend and ipsy and i was wondering if it'd be okay to use on oily, acne prone skin that is sensitive as well. let me know what uses it has and what you would recommend please!
Hey, i get really really shiny skin throughout the day and i dont know how to stop it! I use clinique's anti blemish 3 step routine with wash, toner and moisturiser twice a day and then for my make up i use clinique's tinted moisture surge. I've only just started using the tinted moisturiser, before this it was just bare minerals powder and it's still just as oily!! it's getting so bad but i dont know what else to try! please help!
I'm looking for makeup for my wedding in September that'll hold up in heat and sweat/tears/possible rain. (I know I'm asking a lot but I have no idea where to start. I am overwhelmed by so many choices at Sephora) I have very sensitive skin that breaks out with most of the covergirl, neutrogena, and Avon foundations. I recently tried tarte rainforest of the sea foundation, and I love it. Hasn't broken me out yet! Will it cause flashback? I need a blush that won't disappear in 2 hours. What is a good one? Also would highlight be a bad idea since I'm oily? This world of makeup is confusing. What is a good place to start with the start of it all being my wedding?
I'm trying to plan ahead for summer and I want to find a good summer foundation. I have really medium, really oily skin with yellow undertones and want to find a foundation/BB Cream/CC Cream/Tinted Moisturizer that has light-medium coverage that feels lightweight on the skin and handles the heat of the summer and my oily skin, does anyone have anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
Okay y'all, I need some advice. I have oily skin problems, mostly around my nose and on my chin. I use a matte foundation and it's AMAZING, but half way through my day, my oil gets so bad to the point it will show through and crack my foundation causing it to look all patchy and eventually come off. Can anyone recommend a good Matte primer that's below $20? I had a few in mind, but I wanted some recommendations first. Thanks!! 😭💖
Wondering if anyone had opinions on exfoliators out there. There are so many products I never know which one to try first. Been debating between a product from sephora or from lush. Thanks guys! Im oily/combination skin. My routine includes, two masks, serum, moisturizer, cleanser and toner.
I recently got bangs, and the skin on my forehead has become so oily! Which products can I use, in the morning or the evening, to keep the pores on my forehead from getting clogged with all of the extra oil? I'm generally a pretty low-maintenance kind of girl, so I don't want to spend a ton of time using very expensive products. Thanks!
Hi everyone, hope you feel good and beautiful today. So, actually, in the past I never did a make-up and was using different skin care products, never had something special, but now want to start and enter this beauty field and need advice from you and your experience. For my first step I want to ask you this, I have a problem as my skin is really oily and sensitive and because of that I have acne and make-up problems. I need couple good advice: 1. What are the best skin care products for oily skin + that have acne issues. 2. What cosmetics you use and which one fits better for this type of skin. 3. Which make-up fixer fits better. I will appreciate all advice from you. Thanks!
which is the best matte fundation for oil skin and big pores and the best concealer?????, i have the make up forever liquid fundation but is not the best for me it makes that my skin looks super oily and it doesnt cover all my acne and my scars, please helpppp Spoiler (Highlight to read)
I'm looking for a moisturizer suited for my skin type. I saw the new olehenriksen balance it all set (cleanser, toner and hydrator) and I read about the Jack Black double duty face moisturizer with SPF. I have oily acne prone skin. I'm not sure which one would be better for me, both seem to be good for oily skin but one focuses on reducing oil and the other has SPF, both of which I like. Which one should I get ? Or any recommendations?
Hi! I'm looking for a skin care routine for at night and a quick one in the morning. I am 16. My t zone is oily mostly around my nose and chin but the rest of my face is mostly normal. Also sometimes on my cheeks i get little bumps that aren't pimples their just bumps. I get very few pimples but when i do they tend to be on my nose. I don't really know what to get so a list of things for a routine would be great and if products are recommended as well that's awesome.

GOOD MORNING TO ALL, LATELY I HAVE BEEN STRUGGLING WITH SUCH AN OILY SKIN AND A FEW BREAKOUTS, PLEASE SUGGEST A GOOD FOUNDATION FOR MY TYPE OF SKIN THAT WILL LAST LONG WITH GOOD COVERGE? RIGHT NOW I AM USING TOO FACED(BORN THIS WAY) OR CLINIQUE ACNE SOLUTIONS. I DO USE NARS PRIMER BUT DOESN'T SEEM TO HELP EITHER. THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE. I WOULD TRULY APPRECIATE ANY SUGGESTIONS
For the longest, I've been noticing that my makeup starts to crack on my T zone. I try to blot as much as I can throughout the day and touch up with translucent powder but it makes it worse and actually removes my makeup. I don't understand why.
