I was a faithful user of Clinique's Superdefense Oily to Oily Combination with SPF 25, until they recently changed the formula. The new one is pretty terrible - it just sits on the surface of my skin all day feeling tacky and making my T-zone oilier than ever. So, I need something similar to the old formula. It has to have a SPF, as my skin is fair, and it needs to absorb very quickly, as many moisturizers tend to sit on the surface of my skin. Any recommendations??
Hi everyone! So I started a thread recently asking about sunscreen because I am going to buy a sunscreen to use as my daily mositurizer. However, what I did like about the current mositurizer I use is that it helped treat dark spots and keeps me relativley pimple/blemish free. So does anyone know of a night cream that treats dark spots? Keeping in mind I have oily skin, and while not hyper sensitive, some things randomly could break me out. Thanks all!!
My face is really prone to breaking out in whiteheads and nothing will clear them up. I need some suggestions on new face wash and spot treatments. I am currently using Simple face wash and lotion. My skin is oily and sensitive.
I'm definitely pro Sephora and have been a customer for many years. I also can't understand why the stores are not focused on their mature clientele ... I often ask for advice from many stores and always seem to get different recommendations, always from a 20 or 30 something salesperson. These age groups do not know nor have they experienced our concerns. For the time being, I am just using a Boscia antioxidant daily moisturizer. As a 57 yr old, I need to improve my oily, dull, aging skin - including my neck and chest. When I look in the mirror, I do not see the color I once had. I eat strictly Paleo so know I'm getting the proper nutrition and plenty of supplementation ..... it's the exterior that I need help with. I have seen in a previous post that alot of the recommendations are Algenist and Origins. I'm also gearing up for my sons wedding on 5/10, so need all the help I can get - some long term and short term improvement goals! Look forward to receiving some advice on brand and specific items. Thanks!
Currently, I'm using L'Oreal's Miracle Blur moisturizer with an SPF of 30. I only purchased it because it was easy on my bank account and has a high level of SPF which I feel I need for my face. I don't feel it does anything special for my skin and it feels, as well as looks, quite oily. I usually apply Benefit's POREfessional a few minutes afterwards to make my face look less shiny (I have oily, acne-prone skin). Can you anyone suggest a good moisturizer with a high level of SPF in it that is beneficial to my skin type? Thanks in advance! XO
Hey everyone. I just bought the Philosophy purity one-step face wash a week ago. Just wanted to try it out. and I love it! so now I'm looking to start using more products. I have mostly oily skin. What is everyones favorite product(s)? I am interested in trying a moisturizer but also interested in the other products but don't know much about this line. Anyone with oily skin- what products do you like? or work well for your skin? Any comments welcome
Is there anybody used to use Sheshiedo Benefiance Wrinkleresist24 Emulsion night and Kielh's Rosa Artica Cream? which one is good for sensetive/oily skin? or Do you have any suggestion besides those two?
I need help & guidance! I have extremely OILY skin! Blotting several times a day. Along with it, I have quite a few allergies to skin products. I have tried so much. At first it may appear to work but after a day or two, its back to OILY OILY OILY. Right now, I am using Origins Zero Oil Cleanser, Toner, & Moisturizer. I have used the Murad Oil-Free Mattifying SPF Moisturizer & the Becca Oil-Free Primer....Relief at first of oiliness. Not anymore. Right now for foundation I also use Elizabeth Arden. Yes, I have tried BareMinerals. Which I am contemplating on trying again to see if there is any less oil production ( since its been a while since I've used it) Any allergy friendly, extreme oil control options or cleansing regimens I should try along with possible foundation? Please Help!
I am interested in trying Boscia's Clear Complexion Kit or some of their Black line. I have tried the Black mask and love it, but not sure about the rest of the products? Background: I have very oily skin, and most products break me out pretty easily. I use Clinique Dramatically Different Gel in the morning now, but find I break out if I use it at night as well. To cleanse I use a Neutrogena cleanser in the shower in the morning and Murad Clarifing Cleanser in the evening after using Boscia Makeup Breakup to get rid of my makeup! Thanks for any advice!
I have tried everything at this point to stop the oil from forming on my forehead. Nothing seems to work. Not even setting powder. I have changed face washes and even wash my face in the morning when I wake up. This is starting to drive me bonkers. Any suggestions on how to stop the oil from forming in my t-zone. Any products that work well? Please help me out here.
I apparently have the oiliest eyes ever! Any recommendations on a VERY black liner for my waterline? I have tried all the tricks, set with black eyeliner, set my powder under the eyes, dry my waterline, not putting creamy concealer close to the waterline. I have tried-All MAC liners, all Clinque liners, 24/7, Stila, Aqua eyes pencil and pot, Marc Jacobs pencil, Tarte (the litte one for the waterline and gel), Chanel, Estee Lauder, Bare Minerals. Gel liners-Bobbi Brown, Tarte, YSL. All drugstores. Just trying out Buxom, any other suggestions?
I am looking for a tinted powder to use to set my foundation. I want a powder that is going to give me a little more coverage, make my skin look flawless and also can control my extremely oily skin. Any suggestions? I am currently using MUFE HD powder but it doesn't give me any extra coverage.
I am looking for a gentle exfoliator to use on the night i do not use my clarisonic. I was something that wont dry my skin or irritate it and can help remove death skin and with my uneven skin tone. I do not use my clarisonic on the days i dont wear makeup u just use my Philosophy Purity cleanser. I have these two in mind if anyone has tried them and can let me know how it works.
I started off using Shiseido products but noticed that when I add a new product to my regime my skin become very oily and unbalanced. I was thinking, since I use more than a toner and a moisturizer that my cleanser and toner should be gentle and pure. I switched to Purity by Philosophy and I'm using LUSH's Tea Tree Water for a toner. I use Boscia's White Mask about once a month and LUSH's Mask of Magnaminty once a week. I use a serum and a dark spot corrector. My goal is to have even tone, smooth, acne-free skin and was wondering what else I might do to achieve my goal other than what I'm doing along with vitamins and water. I know us Beauty Insiders have the answer to everything ;-) Thanks in advance!
The texture of my skin is just bananas! Can anyone recommend how I should handle it? I exfoliate to no avail. I am acne prone and super oily, but I still have those dry patches. The bumps aren't blackheads or acne...
I have normal/dry skin everywhere on my face but my nose is soooooooo oily. makeup forever setting powder, loran mattifying primer, deslick oil absorbing primer on nose, blotting papers…. the list goes on of what I use,try to control it. I use my clarasonic with purity cleanser and not even that helps. has anyone tried something with great results?
I have tried Smashbox and MAC primers, Tarte,Make Up forever, Clinique, and Lancome foundations, and clinique skin treatment and it all seems to make my skin more oily. I have even tried the Milk of Magnesia primer! Any suggestions?
I love the look of satin finish makeup, but I have to use extremely matte products on my face because I'll begin to shine. Like the sun. After five minutes of putting on my makeup. I can keep on my eye makeup with Urban Decay's eye primer, but all oil control foundations are useless and anything that does help makes me look so matte. I don't wan't to look caked on, I just want to cover my scars and spots. Any suggestions? I currently wash with benzoyl peroxide, apply a prescription acne medicine, and then use Clinique's Moisturizing Gel to keep my cheeks and eyelids from getting flaky.
I've seen SK-II mentioned again and again in interviews with celebrities (Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara, some models and stuff) and it's carried in Sephora, so it's kind of within reach. I was wondering has anyone tried it? which product and is it good for oily skin? I've brought stuff for my mom, but the main complaint was it's too creamy/thick since she have 100% oily skin. I think La Mer's gonna be a bit too thick, and I was eyeing the SK-II Essence for change of season/especially tiring days (but no pimples or oily mess allowed).
