I have combination oily/normal skin. The only moisturizer/gel that I've found that doesn't leave my face feeling or looking like I have excess oil on it, is the Clinique 'Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel'. I just wanted to see if there are any more moisturizers that I could use...
I use Laura Mercier's oil free tinted moisturizer because the color matches great and I LOVE the lighter-than-foundation coverage. My one concern with it, though, is that it can get a little oily throughout the day. I always have blotters handy, so I just sort of use those, but is there a better way to go here, such as a primer? Do you recommend using a primer with tinted moisturizer? Does that help? Or does it go against the lightweight feeling of using something like a tinted moisturizer in the first place?
Can anyone help me figure out a good skin care routine? I've pretty much figured out what products I should steer clear of. Cream based products break me out. Water based ones do me good. I use a non foaming non soap cleanser. Follow it up with Dickinson's toner. Then, here's here I am at a lost. I would like to try a really good serum and moisturizer that could help me with my acne marks, uneven skin tone, redness, and dullness.
My skin is super oily. I have a hard time trying to find a foundation that will stay on all day and not look like a greasy mess. I am currently using Bare Minerals bareskin foundation. I love the coverage but it does not help my oily skin and almost makes it worse. I have also tried Naked foundation too and found it doesnt have enough coverage for me. Help!
Hi ladies, I would love to receive some advice on how to take care of my skin. I am in my early 20s, but unfortunately I look a lot older than my age and that is my biggest concern. I have wrinkles under my eyes and I can't seem to get rid of them. A little bit background about me. I am Asian with combination skin, which is heavily oily at the T-zone, cheek, and chin. My skin tone is light medium, and I could become really lighter if I don't go out to the sun as often as required by my job. My work schedule requires me to work long hours and late into the night. I wear make up to work everyday. In general, I would like to ask for advice on how to look younger by the combination of skin care and make up products. If you guys have any advice, please comment on this and help a sister out.
I honestly feel like I have tried absolutely everything in the store with absolutely no luck. I am 22, I have light/medium skin tone, super oily skin with red undertones, dark circle under my eyes and very few acne. I have tried numerous primes and foundation and none seem to work. After an hour my makeup begins to slide off my face, my skin feels super oily, My t-zone look ridiculous. I look very patchy on my forehead. I have tried Kat Von D Lock-It foundation, clinique liquid foundation, mac liquid foundation, maybelline liquid foundation, maybelle liquid foundation and a few other drug store products. I always apply powder after and I still get blotchy after an hour. I need you're help thanks!
Until very recently (a month or so ago) my skin has been very, very dry. Like, flaky dry. And this summer I had finally gotten it under control and it was behaving normally. But, about a month ago, it became very oily, especially around my nose, and forehead. I have never dealt with oily skin before so I am totally clueless as how to fix it, or what caused it. I had not recently switched up in products??? My face is SO oily that it only lasts an hour or two with Lancome 24 hour matte foundation before it starts to get greasy again. Routine -Morning First Aid Beauty facial radiance pads Clidamycin Phosphate/benzoyl peroxide gel (perscribed) Fresh Seaberrry facial oil Smashbox oil free primer OR Too faced primed and poreless primer foundation Routine- Night Cerave foaming facial cleanser eye makeup remover Adapalene (Perscribed) Seaberry facial oil I used to also use Lush's rosewater/lavender toner for dry skin at night, but stopped when my skin started freaking out. I have also tried switching the Seaberry oil out for Cerave facial lotion, but that didn't change anything. Does anybody have any advice? Skin care product recommendations or foundation recommendations? I am desperate and willing to try anything.
I've always had combination skin, but over the last year or so, I've noticed that my skin had become excessively oily (to the point I'm shining like a disco ball within 2-3 hours of makeup application in the morning) and my pores have been enlarged. I've recently switched to Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless foundation, and Matte Translucent powder. I find these help to a degree, but now I'm looking for cleansers and toners that would work for very oily, sensitive, acne prone skin. Any suggestions?
Hi I have typical asian monolid eyes. they are a bit puffy and oily at times. I'm pretty lucky I have really long lashes (dont' need fake eyelash), but since it's puffy esp. in the morning when i wake up and tend to be oily(since my combo oily skin type), a lot of eyelash curlers (or i should say a regular one) don't work for me coz it's really easy to pinch my eyelid or corners of my eyes when i curl eyelash. Is there anyone in my shoes or does anyone have any tips on that?
Hi! I'm 28 yrs old and do not have a skin routine. I use drugstore cleansing products (Biore) and it works great. The only time I break out is during my period, and its usually on my chin. Other then that, I don't have major skin issues. I have combination/oily skin. However, I do know that as I get older, I should really have a skin routine down. I was looking at some of the "starter kits" that sephora has to offer and the clinique one is appealing - but wanted to get some others' opinions. What are your routines and how did you find the right combination of products for yourself?
Hi everyone! So I'm basically looking for the whole nine yards at this point. I've been content with my current and past cleansers and moisturizers but lately I've been feeling like my skin has almost started regressing? It looks like it could use some change so I'm open to all suggestions! Here's a few concerns I'd like to address for sure. but like i said WHOLE NINE YARDS Trouble Areas: -OILY TO COMBO SKIN-for the most part my skin is more on the oily side, however i noticed my skin tends to dry up around my eyebrows and mouth (don't know why those areas but that's it) -BLACKHEADS-hate them, have them. I feel like sometimes they are just so huge that its taking over my face & honestly makes me feel self conscious (which no one wants to feel) Currently using Biore black head strips & they work well for the most part, but I feel like there is more i can do to make them go away or at least be less noticeable -BRIGHTEN/EVEN SKIN TONE-I think i have pretty even skin tone, however sometimes i do get blemishes or redness on my face, also I feel like my skin is looking dull, so I'm looking for something to brighten it. Thanks i advance ! & remember the WHOLE NINE YARDS!(:
Im 16 and have mildly sensitive skin. My skin is quite difficult to explain because it is acne/oily but it is also quite dehydrated because i disrupted the moister barrier from using products with harsh chemicals. I was hoping that someone could recommend a cleanser, toner, moisturizer and spot treatment for me. I also have a Clarisonic and prefer products that are natural and I do not want products that have harsh chemicals. Thank you so much
I have oily skin. I use good products for washing my face, but my makeup seems like it disappears a few hours after I put it on. If I don't use waterproof mascara and eyeliner, it is gone right away. I can never get eye shadow to stay and although I have used Estee Lauder in the past and like their cover up, I would love to hear any suggestions from Sephora! Thank you!
I continue to have oily, shiny skin, esp. in my T-zone. My foundation matches my skin tone fairly well, except it can at times look cakey and ghost-like--turns out HORRIBLE in pictures sometimes. i have tried so many different foundations, i really would like to avoid having to blend 2 different shades if possible. I have tried: bare minerals loose powder foundation, chanel mat lumiere long-lasting matte liquid foundation, laura mercier oil free supreme liquid foundation, benefit hello flawless powder foundation, benefit hello flawless oxygen wow foundation, bobbi brown long-wear even finish foundation, estee lauder double wear powder foundation, makeup forever mat velvet liquid foundation, NARS powder foundation, and a host of drug store foundations. Current makeup/skin regimen: Wash face 2x per day with Clean & Clear Deep Action Cream Cleanser (oil-free) solution (have used it over the years, but skin has never been as oily as it is now.) Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer w/ SPF 15 (all skin types) Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer (oil-free) Bare Minerals Correcting Concealer in TAN 2 Bare Minerals READY Foundation w/SPF 20 in R330 Tarte Amazonian Clay Long-Wear Blush in "exposed" Bare Minerals Mineral Veil Tarte not-so-slick oil blotting papers (as needed) I'm also currently on a prescription antibiotic for my skin (face, back & shoulders), Doryx DR 200mg. Not sure if this could contribute to anything but thought i'd list it anyway. Any suggestions would be great. My skin is super sensitive but I'm open to hearing tips for combatting this oil! i don't know how girls' makeup lasts so long, mine doesn't even last past a few hours. also, I'm hesitant to get matched to a new foundation, but again open to hearing suggestions. I'm filipino so my skin is kinda in between tones.
I'm looking for a 3 in 1 product for my oily, mature skin. Some moisture (don't need a lot with my oily skin), broad spectrum SPF and primer. It's the "primer" feature that seems illusive. Many claim to also be a primer, but they sure don't act like a primer!
Hello! This is my first time posting, so I hope I am doing this correctly! I know this same question has been asked before, as I have read through many other threads on this topic, but so far most suggestions have not yet solved my issue, so I thought I would ask on my own behalf. i am looking for any and all product suggestions to help combat oily skin.i am mostly oily in my tzone, especially the forehead. I wake up every morning with enough oil on my ore head to soak up 1-2 oil blot sheets. I am willing to try new skincare products, primers, foundation, etc. I have already tried more products than I can probably remember! But anything anyone would like to suggest I would be more than happy to try! Thank you in advance!
Hello! I'm 20 years old and have combination/oily skin. It is acne prone, and somewhat sensitive..... I have been using proactiv for a few years now and it has helped a great deal with clearing my skin up, but unfortunately the price isn't doing my wallet any good and I want to try new products. I am looking to find new products for my skin such as a good exfoliator and toner. I hate having pimples and blemishes on my face, so I'm looking for some amazing products that have helped other girls with the same type of skin as me. Would anyone be able to recommend to me a good exfoliator and toner for combination/oily skin??
I'm 19 years old and I wash my face every time I get in the shower with a scrub as well as a clean and clear product with bursting beads. I know people don't usually like products that dry the skin out, but that's usually what I go for. When I get out the shower my skin feels great, not too dry and not oily, but even before the day ends my face has more oil then I'd like on it. The only parts of my face that ever get oily are my forehead, temple area, and around my nose and occasionally my chin. Other then that my skin is fine, and even though it does get oily I barely break out but let's face it. Oily skin is no fun, nor is it attractive. I want something that's can use that will keep my skin less oily throughout the day
I have really oily skin. It got worse when I moved from East Coast to California and it may be that California weather is so dry. I wake up in the morning my face is oil. I wash it and 1 hr later, my face is oil. I stopped using the oil sheets b/c i heard it can produce more. I have a ton of acne & scars at the moment. I'm deciding whether to start Accutane. If anyone has any opinions on it, please let me know. I am still learning what works best for my skin, but i really want to give up. I feel that I'm not doing something correctly and maybe Accutane can fix it? I have used neutrogena oil-free sensitive skin moisturizer before and it worked. The combination skin one made my face really oily. I use Murad skin perfecting lotion. It makes it feel non-greasy. This is my regimen right now. Please help me correct what I've been doing wrong: 1)cleanser: (dermatologist's personal brand contains 2% glycolic & 2% salicylic acid) & cetaphil daily facial cleanser (i heard cetaphil dries out skin...) 2) toner: Lancome clarifying exfoliating toner & BioSpecific rehydration toning water mist 3) apply my prescibed acne topicals 4) moisturizer: murad skin perfecting 5) spf 15 oil free sunscreen make up: -lancome regenergie lift makeup foundation - MAC mineralize skin finish natural (I use a sponge to apply. how often should i change it?) I want to try the gel moisturizers though. Any recommendations? Also I want to try the Shiseido Pureness balancing softener. I heard it will allow the moisturizer to go more deeply into the skin? Please advise me. Thank you
Hello! I'm 16 and I have combination skin. So I tend to get quite oily in the T-Zone. Could you maybe suggest a good primer to use underneath my foundation that will help with the oil on my face? Thank you
Okay, I'm 20 years old and I've never really done anything skincare wise for my skin other than masks so now I'm wanting to get a skincare routine together to clear up and improve my skin. What are the standard products that I would need for that?
