Hello I'm a teenager living in humid south florida and i have oily skin. My everyday foundation routine consists of the mattefying Becca primer, Kat von D's tattoo liquid foundation as well as her foundation powder. But i still find myself getting oily about 4 hours after my makeup application. Is there a foundation and/or primer that you think would suit me better?
Hi all, I just started using makeup about a year ago.I used Neutrogena Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer for a while. My skin for the most part, was a nice combo of normal and oily. I eat right, exercise regularly and took vitamins. I wash my face every night. It wasn't until this past summer when I started breaking out more and getting oilier. S o I started using Clear & Clear Deep Cleaning Astringent like I should be, toning my face after every face wash. I also moved to NYC where there is so much air pollution (could that be something?) I also slacked on eating and exercising right, but I have that back together. At that point my acne got worse that I had to completely change my products. I tried the Murad Acne & Aging Skin Solution Kit for a few weeks but just currently use the Clarifying Cleanser. Right now, I use Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer and bareMinerals Correcting Concealer. I read that I should use a primer so I settled for bareMinerals BB Primer-Cream, except that it made my skin extra oily and so I stopped using it. I also use Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturizer as a moisturizer and First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads every night. My question is what skincare regimen can I adopt to combat my oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin? And which makeup products won't cause me to breakout? And am I using the right products? Any help would appreciated. Thanks!
Hello beautiful people. I am sure frustrated and needing some advice. I am 45 years old with oily skin and large pores. I desperately need a good skincare/makeup routine that won't let me down. I use a Clarisonic 2xs day. The rest of the products I am using and have used just haven't worked. I have spent thousands and still have not found a good combo. Please help!
I have extremely oily skin and nothing I've tried seems to help, not even the slightest. I've literally tried everything; different cleansers, moisturizers, makeup, primers, setting powders, setting sprays, I've tried everything imaginable. I put makeup on and within an hour or two it looks like an oil spill on my face, I don't know why I even bother putting makeup on anymore! Blotting papers and touching up with powder only help for a very short time, it just comes right back. Any tips or recommendations would really help me out!! Thank you!! Spoiler (Highlight to read)
What's the best face mask for black heads and just clearing pores? I've been think of the Orgins Charcoal mask or the First Aid Beauty red clay mask? I know Glam Glow is good but it's alittle too pricey, I just wanted something that actually works.
I am looking for a new foundation and concealer. I have combo skin more on oily side. I think I have tried every foundation and have not found one I love and that will stay on all day without turning orange or coming off. I also want a great concealer for under eye circles. Thanks for any advice!
I usually have oily skin but since the winter time has come I have dry skin also. So I need to find a moisturizer that satisfies both of these! i have been using the Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel. and its AMAZING. i love it!! i just don't think its enough for my dry skin part. HELP
Hi, I am looking to buy a new moisturizer soon. I currently only use the tarte maracuja oil at night, which is why I need to buy a daily moisturizer I can wear in the day and under makeup. I have oily skin, but I try to avoid product with salicylic acid because my skin is sensitive and has had a bad history with such products. I am going to buy the Caudaliue toner as well as the amore Pacific enzyme peel. Should I stay consistent and get this Caudalie moisturizer? http://www.sephora.com/premieres-vendanges-moistur izing-cream-P6022?skuId=241539 I also looked into the Korres ones. http://www.sephora.com/wild-rose-24-hour-moisturiz ing-brightening-cream-P61805?skuId=750992 Please let me know what you think or any other recommendations you may have for me! Thanks! xoxo
Hi! I'm wondering how I can control the oils one of my products adds to my skin. For four years, I used Kiehl's Calendula Toner, Ultra Facial Moisturizer, and Sun-Free Self-Tanning Lotion. This summer, though, I switched to the Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster for a tan and I LOVE it! It has the best glow, but it does make my skin oily. I know it's this product, too, because I conducted tests and found my skin was less oily without it, but I just love this product. Should I stop using it? I'd prefer not to, so what can I use that will stop the oil? I used a Kielh's Oil Eliminator spray but it doesn't do the job. I want my skin to look as clean, smooth, and normal (not dry) as possible. Thanks!
I have always had oily skin, so all of my products are geared toward that. However, this winter I have started getting dry patches on my face that my regular moisturizer just isn't getting. Can anyone recommend a good moisurizer that is extremely hydrating that might not clog my pores?
By the time the afternoon rolls around my foundation has settled in the fine lines around my mouth and my makeup looks cakey and oily. How do I prevent this from happening? Any suggestions for primer or foundation?
Hi everyone ! What do you think about Korres Pomegranate Mattifying Primer? I have combination skin, SUPER oily in the T zone. Haven’t found the right primer for me. BECCA Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector and Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer didn’t last long on my skin
I have been really into makeup for about the past 3 years and have yet to find a primer/foundation/powder combo that does not make me shiny by the end of the day. Currently, I have been using hourglass mineral veil primer, laura mercier shine control pressed powder, and lancome teint idole (weekdays) & kat von d lock it tattoo (weekends). For skincare, I use Cetaphil Cleanser, Clean&Clear Toner, and Clean&Clear oil-free moisturizer. Pretty much the only thing that helps is using oil blotting papers which I am just so tired of!!!!! Does anyone have any advice/tips as to what I should try!? I will be willing to try anything at this point. Thank you!!
Anyone have/used the PETER THOMAS ROTH 21st birthday set. I'm up in the air to use it. Want to get some feedback. I have oily acne prone skin - medium tan. Please leave a comment if you have it!!! thanks !!
Although it's probably not the best thing for my skin/pores, I wear makeup every day and for extended periods of time! I don't wear much, just tarte amazonian foundation powder, hola bronzer, underage highlighter, and occasionally blush. But, I have noticed that my skin is not in the best condition. I don't have acne as much as I use to when I was younger; but, my skin is not always the softest. I suffer from blackheads that are pretty prominent. My skin is also incredibly oily! Makeup does not last on my skin. Whenever I am next to friends, I noticed that my skin is pinky/white and lacks radiance. For someone who has oily skin and wears makeup often, what is the best thing I can do for my skin? I was considering the amore pacific enzyme peel since I currently do not exfoliate my skin. My current skin care: Purpose Cleanser Origins Charcoal mask (once a week) tarte maracuja oil Any recommendations at all would be great! Thank you <3
i have really oily eyelids. So oily in fact that during the afternoon the oil from my eyelids combine with my current eye cream and make my sensitive eyes sting. I currently use Dermadoctor Wrinkle Revenge. its an eye balm. what eye cream/gel should i use for my day and night routine. Something that will moisterize and reduce the apearance of dark cirlcles?
I have combination oily/normal skin. The only moisturizer/gel that I've found that doesn't leave my face feeling or looking like I have excess oil on it, is the Clinique 'Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel'. I just wanted to see if there are any more moisturizers that I could use...
I use Laura Mercier's oil free tinted moisturizer because the color matches great and I LOVE the lighter-than-foundation coverage. My one concern with it, though, is that it can get a little oily throughout the day. I always have blotters handy, so I just sort of use those, but is there a better way to go here, such as a primer? Do you recommend using a primer with tinted moisturizer? Does that help? Or does it go against the lightweight feeling of using something like a tinted moisturizer in the first place?
Can anyone help me figure out a good skin care routine? I've pretty much figured out what products I should steer clear of. Cream based products break me out. Water based ones do me good. I use a non foaming non soap cleanser. Follow it up with Dickinson's toner. Then, here's here I am at a lost. I would like to try a really good serum and moisturizer that could help me with my acne marks, uneven skin tone, redness, and dullness.
Hi ladies, I would love to receive some advice on how to take care of my skin. I am in my early 20s, but unfortunately I look a lot older than my age and that is my biggest concern. I have wrinkles under my eyes and I can't seem to get rid of them. A little bit background about me. I am Asian with combination skin, which is heavily oily at the T-zone, cheek, and chin. My skin tone is light medium, and I could become really lighter if I don't go out to the sun as often as required by my job. My work schedule requires me to work long hours and late into the night. I wear make up to work everyday. In general, I would like to ask for advice on how to look younger by the combination of skin care and make up products. If you guys have any advice, please comment on this and help a sister out.
Until very recently (a month or so ago) my skin has been very, very dry. Like, flaky dry. And this summer I had finally gotten it under control and it was behaving normally. But, about a month ago, it became very oily, especially around my nose, and forehead. I have never dealt with oily skin before so I am totally clueless as how to fix it, or what caused it. I had not recently switched up in products??? My face is SO oily that it only lasts an hour or two with Lancome 24 hour matte foundation before it starts to get greasy again. Routine -Morning First Aid Beauty facial radiance pads Clidamycin Phosphate/benzoyl peroxide gel (perscribed) Fresh Seaberrry facial oil Smashbox oil free primer OR Too faced primed and poreless primer foundation Routine- Night Cerave foaming facial cleanser eye makeup remover Adapalene (Perscribed) Seaberry facial oil I used to also use Lush's rosewater/lavender toner for dry skin at night, but stopped when my skin started freaking out. I have also tried switching the Seaberry oil out for Cerave facial lotion, but that didn't change anything. Does anybody have any advice? Skin care product recommendations or foundation recommendations? I am desperate and willing to try anything.
I honestly feel like I have tried absolutely everything in the store with absolutely no luck. I am 22, I have light/medium skin tone, super oily skin with red undertones, dark circle under my eyes and very few acne. I have tried numerous primes and foundation and none seem to work. After an hour my makeup begins to slide off my face, my skin feels super oily, My t-zone look ridiculous. I look very patchy on my forehead. I have tried Kat Von D Lock-It foundation, clinique liquid foundation, mac liquid foundation, maybelline liquid foundation, maybelle liquid foundation and a few other drug store products. I always apply powder after and I still get blotchy after an hour. I need you're help thanks!
My skin is super oily. I have a hard time trying to find a foundation that will stay on all day and not look like a greasy mess. I am currently using Bare Minerals bareskin foundation. I love the coverage but it does not help my oily skin and almost makes it worse. I have also tried Naked foundation too and found it doesnt have enough coverage for me. Help!
