Hey,
I have quite oily skin myself, and used to only use liquid foundations (ones that were matte), and still had the oily skin problem, until I tried doing things differently. I actually switched up my face routine in terms of makeup application and type. I switched to using a "gel" lotion rather than a cream or lotion type of moisturizer, and right away that even helped my problem. I switched to a Clarins gel moisturizer, and switched to a Bare Minerals loose powder foundation. By using this combination I can say 100% my oil reduction has been substantially less. It may be due to the fact that the liquid foundation actually clogs your pores and does not allow them to breathe (even if you use a primer, which I still do). Using a loose powder foundation allows coverage and allows pores to breathe and doesn't confuse them into producing excess sebum (the oil guck). Maybe try these tips, I know they worked wonders for myself. take care.
