Sweaty, oily summer nightmare! !!! Help!
So I live in a very humid area and this summer has been brutal!! I sweat really bad especially on my face and it's just plain gross! I am tired of going into work looking nice, then after a few hours having a total meltdown. I heard you can use anti-perspirants on your face to help with that but I have sensitive skin so I'm afraid of using any old thing. Anyone have any suggestions for an anti-perspirant that is good for sensitive skin so I can use it on my face?? Help!!

Hi kate2444. I also agree that you shouldn't wear anti-perspirant on your face. The best alternative as mentioned would be to use a mattifying primer.
Givenchy Mister Mat Mattifying Foundation Primer
I also recommend checking out the Dermadoctor MED e TATE. These wipes were specifically designed for clients who suffer from Hyperhidrosis (where one sweats excessively). I've tried using this on my face prior to applying a primer and foundation and found it to work really well in humid weather.

[ Edited ]I had a total hysterectomy and the hormones have made my face an oil slick!! So, I have the exact same problem but, I have found the solution!!!!
Believe it or not! Estee Lauder!
My mother gets those sample packages at the AAFES on the military base cheap! So, anyway long story short.
If you just want the make up and primer you start with; Matte Perfecting Primer and for the Make UP you have several choices; Double Wear Light (which is what I'm wearing right now for summer) it's a little bit lighter. But it stays put all day. they also have Double Wear Stay In Place Make Up (which I'll get some in the fall). I didn't like the concealer but they have one. They have a Double Wear Stay In Place Powder Make UP ( I haven't tried but I will) then there is the Double Wear Mineral Rich Loose Powder Make Up; I'm on the fence on this one. I really like my Mally Powder. When my powder in my purse runs out I'll be getting the Double Matte Oil Control Pressed Powder.
Now, the best stuff is before the primer put on Clear Difference Advanced Oil-Control Hydrator and then DayWear Advanced Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 15---then the primer and then make up, etc.
It can be an expensive plan but, I was lucky as she got me a sample set and the make-up in the set was full size!! And the primer only takes a smidge! So I have only bought the Clear Difference and the DayWear Lotion. But let me tell you; it's made a HUGE difference! I've noticed the more I use them; the less oil my skin produces.
The web site is very user friendly and be sure to go and see the web video on how to apply their makeup and face powder as it really helps to control the oil the way they show you how to lay the powder on your skin.
Sorry to run on and on but I NEVER go to all of the trouble of responding to these beauty advice things; but this time I really had to as I had to tell everybody how wonderful this line really is and how happy I am that I found something that really works.
So, don't use the deodorant.
Best of luck,
Dee

I don't think antiperspirant is safe to use on your face. The skin on faces, especially near your eyes and lips is some of the thinnest on the body, the chemicals in antiperspirant are way too severe to use on this delicate skin. I would think that you would get breakouts at best and a lot of redness/and or reaction at worst.
Try using a good matifying primer made for oily skin under your makeup. I use Givenchy Mister Mat Mattifying Foundation Primer on my oily skin. Then use a foundation made for oily skin like Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet + Mattifying foundation, this water resistant foundation works best for me. Set your foundation with a good setting powder or setting spray, Urban Decay makes good ones in both categories.
Then use blotting papers to blot up any excess perspiration and oil. Think positively, fall is coming!
